Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Cucumber Melon Body Lotion
IslandGirlSPN 5/11/2002 10:27:00 AM
I got a full size lotion, body spray, soap bar, candle and room spray as a very nice and generous gift (I wish it was Creamy Coconut instead=0( oh well). This scent is just way too sweet for me- definately not anything I would pick out on my own. It's okay overall IMO.
Shampoo -Bath and Body Works - BIO Hydrating Shampoo

I got a full size bottle of this shampoo AND condiitoner as a free gift which was awesome. I found it to be a good basic shampoo (smelled so good!) like my Clairol Herbal Essences. I wouldn't buy it though because I get the same results from Clairol HE @ a cheaper price.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Creamy Coconut Body Lotion

I recieved lots of compliments from men (including my hunny!) on this scent. I hope this one stays around awhile. I got the body creams, lotions and hand creams - the body sprays disappear to quick - they needa come out with a perfume instead.
Blush -Sonia Kashuk - sheer bliss lip & cheek tint
IslandGirlSPN 5/9/2002 11:09:00 AM
Yay! - I found a product similar to my Trish McEvoy Blush lip and cheek tint. I recieved this in a swap and am highly pleased with it. I am sure it is cheaper than $18 TMcEvoy PLUS it has more product. It is a little more pinkier hued than TM Blush but still very similar. Will definately get this from now on.
This is a super cheap lipstick with super quality! It is an ugly neon green color but glides on a nice sheer pink hue. The formula was, surprisingly, very glossy. It tints your lips slightly too which is nice. Would definately buy again.
The coverage is fantastic(you can use as a concealor and spot treat or all over like reg. base), feels light, doesn't break me out, comes in my exact shade, very affordable. Only thing I don't care for is the smell but it is tolerable for me to buy over and over again. NC25 for MAC is Beige 3 for this formula.
I got this in a sample in Natural Beige. It felt really silky and smooth going on but I still felt it on my face when I was done(a tad oily feeling). The color was nice but the scent was a bit strong for me. I prefer light to non-scented foundations. This was okay. I also tried Jane foundations and it wasn't nearly as perfumy.
I recently got the Juicy Tube Lip Highlighter called Fizz. It's a clear gloss with shimmer. Like a clear Miracle. It's perfect for layering over other lippies to add gorgeous shine with a hint of shimmer. A definate winner. UPDATE - gosh i haven't used this in ages and ended up giving it away to my sister - i wasn't into a cloudy glossy look. i prefer the clear glossy look instead. good texture and quality like all JT's but probably won't get this color again.
I got this for only $1.40 on sale at Target - that was the cool thing. It seems to be doing an alright job. Smells sort of cocnutty which was wierd. It kept my brows in place most of the day. The gross thing is that the tube is clear so you can see the gel. So after using it several times, my eyeshadow and brow liner tinted the clear gel a icky brown beige. But overall - not bad at all for $1.40 - not sure what the real price was suppose to be - sorry.
This is one of the new shades from the South American Collection. This has to be the prettiest shimmery neutral baby pink polish I've ever tried. The staying power is awesome and this formula dries so fast. (For some reason it dried a lot faster than my I'm Not Really A Waitress polish)Highly recommended!
I love Hawaiian Tropics tanning oil scent (tropical coconutty smell). They stuck it in this lipbalm. That was neat =0) - but I wish the formula was not so sweet. It's sort of gross to eat SPF 45.
The cost of this kit was horrid ($78.00!!!) but I just had to get it after the SA showed me how to use it. The staying power of this lipcolor is like nothing I have ever tried. I was using lip tints and stains but those do not compare to this products staying power. I got the shades Dusty Rose - a neutral brownish pink and Pink Champagne - a shimmery light pink - I really like them a lot. I also got the shell gloss since it has a nice shimmer to it as well. (The plain gloss that comes in the kit looked too boring.) The formulas taste gross (definately not the pleasant vanilla and berry tasting ones I enjoy often). The packaging is cheesy and the applicator is not all that fabulous but the performance of the products make up for it. Overall, I am too in love with Mary Kay's glosses and Lancome's Juicy Tubes to use this exclusively but I am happy I bought it.
Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - No-Ad Tanning Glitter Gel
IslandGirlSPN 5/3/2002 2:08:00 AM
Smells really nice and citrusy - was super cheap for a massive size bottle and the glitter looked so pretty floating around in the body gel. Unfortunately the glitter does not feel so good on the skin. It was super gritty feeling - maybe I can use it as a body scrub - hehe - But I can't rant too much since it only cost me $3.
Super Cheap! This a great staple lotion. Its got sort of a "middle" consistency(not too thick but not thin) making it perfect to slather on quickly after the shower. It absorbs quick and leaves a clean scent. I've been using it for a year now and I think it's doing it's job. But then again, I'm only 23 - I'll write again when I'm old and gray to letcha know if I've got a firm tush from this stuff. hehe - If you don't mind dishing out more money - Jergens also makes a fab Skin Firming Lotion. Its thicker and smells a bit nicer.
Skincare - Body -Hawaiian Tropic - Dark Tanning Oil
IslandGirlSPN 5/3/2002 1:44:00 AM
This is a classic beach smell - I love it! Its definately an "oil" so make sure your next stop after the beach is the shower. Anyway, it does seem to help speed up the tanning process. I used it all last summer while at the pool and it took only 4 days at maybe 2 hours worth of sun to get super duper dark. I probably won't do that again this year since its so bad for the skin but for those who are sun worshippers - this will do it for ya! Minus one point for being an "oil". Wish it were something else a bit more pleasant feeling.
