Conditioner -Alberto Vo5 - Kiwi and Lime Squeeze Clarifying Conditioner
rated 5 of 5

I recently started a regimen of using sulfate free shampoo about once a week and CO washing the rest of the time to preserve my hair color. I heard this was a well liked conditoner for that purpose so I checked it out and was super happy when I saw the price--84 cents at my walmart!! It smells great and does exactly what I want. I even love it as a shaving creme! A great product at a great price and what more could you ask for?

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 5 of 5
kahou79 11/11/2010 12:35:00 AM

This stuff is so great and I never realized how much I was missing by not wearing shadow primer. I bought the tube I'm using now 2 years ago and I just had to cut it open today. There wasn't a lot left in it but enough to last me a few more weeks. I believe I took the stopper out over a year and a half ago! I thought it was expensive when I bought it but it's dirt cheap when you take into account how long it lasts. My shadows and eyeliner stay true with this product and I don't know how I ever got along without it. Great product and if you need primer you should give it a try.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon #252B Nutty
rated 4 of 5

After seeing so many positive reviews for this I was really excited to try it and since Walgreens was having a 1/2 off sale for WnW I paid a whole buck for this. It applies like butter but on me this shade turns really warm and almost looks coppery/bronzy. I was hoping it would be a cooler toned taupe but that doesn't take away from the product at all for it's very high quality and I would expect to pay *alot* more for it. I'm a *huge* WnW fan anyway and it's what I wear most of the time for the quality is amazing. I wore nutty on my eyelid and blended up towards my browbone but tomorrow I'm just going to wear it on my lid or in the crease with brulee and see if I like it more that way. I put that I would buy this again for I didn't want to bring the rating down for this is a lovely shadow but just a bit different than I expected and I will always buy WnW shadows for they are the bomb!! EDIT: I have since completely fallen in love with this color and it's my go to when I don't know what else to wear. Goes great with Brulee!

Lipstick -Revlon - Color Burst in Carnation 025
rated 5 of 5
kahou79 11/2/2010 1:00:00 AM

I have recently gone back to my natural haircolor, medium brown, after having red hair for many years so I decided it was time to add some pink lippies to my collection. I've always loved them but I never thought they looked that great on me with red hair so I have a drawer full of apricot-peachy-coral colors. This looked like a pretty, not too bright pink, so I got this and a revlon mineral lipglaze (these are the bomb btw). Carnation is a little brighter than I thought it would be but I love it and it's so fun to rock a bright pink lip again. I also love the lipbalm feel of this and it's comfy on the lips. It would be nice if it were a bit more pigmented but that's not a biggie for me. I plan on trying another color or so for I really like these lippies. :D

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze
rated 5 of 5
kahou79 10/31/2010 12:45:00 AM

I was looking for a pigmented lipgloss and was told to try this one by the lovely ladies on the makeup board. I was looking for a med pink and Perennial pink #538 looked fairly close to what I wanted so I figured I'd give it a shot. It's a great product and I'm very pleased. It's not sheer and lasts a *long* time. It dries on the lips after a while but doesn't make them feel dry, does that make sense? It doesn't lose it's shine though. I always make sure that after I apply it that I take a tissue and blot a little where my lips meet or it does have the tendency to get a little gooey and kinda "puddle" up in that area after awhile. It's so nice to put on lipgloss and not have it gone in a few minutes. I look forward to trying out some different shades.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies
rated 5 of 5

I have been using Cover Girl Lashblast volume ever since it came out but I saw some great pics on the FOTD board of ladies wearing this so I figured I'd give it a shot. It's a great product and the best drugstore mascara I've ever tried. The brush is a little awkard but after a few uses I learned how to twirl it a bit and I *love* the results. Of course this will work the best with curled lashes and I use several coats as I do with any mascara. I just apply till I like the results and I haven't gotten any flaking doing this. This is definitely worth a try if you still haven't found the perfect mascara. A+++ from me!

Bath Treatments -Avon - Bubble Bath
rated 5 of 5
kahou79 9/5/2010 7:35:00 PM

I have used this stuff a long time and I love the variety of scents that are offered at different times of the year. It is also *very* gentle for I am prone to getting irritations in...umm...certain areas and this has never bothered me, or my children, in any way. We have soft water so I only pour in a small amount for a tubfull of bubbles and a bottle lasts me a few months even though my two kids take baths everyday. This bubble bath is the best and I will buy it as long as Avon makes it. :D

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous
rated 5 of 5
kahou79 7/13/2010 7:51:00 PM

I recently rediscovered this lipstick after not using it for a long time. When I was younger I used to wear Toast of New York everyday with my colored red hair and neutral brown eyeshadow. I got another tube of it a few years ago for old times sake and I hated it on me for I guess my tastes have changed. A few days ago I picked up rose & shine for I was looking for a nice pinky neutral. It's just great and I love it! These are moist and very high quality for the price. The color selection is good also. A cheap drugstore gem and these are just as good, if not better than HE brands. I'd rather have a bunch of these than pay alot for one lipstick that isn't even as good. *love* these!!

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipstick - Rose & Shine
rated 5 of 5
kahou79 7/13/2010 4:03:00 PM

I went to my local drugstore looking for Rimmel airy fairy which I've heard is a great neutral to wear with darker eye looks. Well, there was one tube of the rimmel left which had been smushed. :P I took that tube and compared it with similar colors from other brands and this revlon was the closest match. I was looking for something understated and this fits the bill perfectly. I'm wearing it today with dark, smokey taupe eyeshadow (fyrinnae sirloin of beef with fyr. newcastle blended in the crease) and it looks stunning. Just what I was looking for. If you want a more obvious lipstick, do not buy this for it's quite natural but if you want an everyday pink-based neutral you may love this.

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - pure stay long wearing pressed powder
rated 5 of 5
kahou79 7/5/2010 12:21:00 AM

I have been using this product for about a year and I have to say that it has reached HG status for me. I use the enclosed sponge and the coverage is great but still very natural looking. It keeps shine at bay all day, even in the most humid weather but it's not drying. My only complaint is that a package doesn't last me very long and I hit pan in no time. It seems like I'm constantly buying it but I guess it's worth it for such a wonderful product. If you're looking for a great, easy to apply foundation, don't hesitate to try this. A++++

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Summer Vanillas Lemon
rated 5 of 5
kahou79 6/18/2010 12:12:00 AM

I love lemon scents and this one is my favorite so far. This smells like lemon sugar cookies to me and I've been wearing it almost everyday since I purchased it. This paired with the matching spray is heaven in a bottle and I hope they never stop making this!! Perfection!

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Orange Sapphire ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
kahou79 4/27/2010 11:46:00 PM

This is my new favorite scent and it just screams summer to me. I wear the body spray and lotion together and it's just so yummy. It smells like a fresh cut orange at first but then warms up into something much more seductive and spicy. Such a great scent and I will repurchase.

Polishes -Color Club - nail polishes
rated 5 of 5
kahou79 3/25/2010 3:10:00 PM

These polishes are cheap perfection and are definitely as good as OPI if not better. The colors are great, apply like butter, and there is a wide range of colors. Everything from shimmery neons and holos, to french mani shades. I have never been unhappy with any I've tried. This brand shows that polish doesn't have to be pricey to be fabulous.

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - polish
rated 5 of 5
kahou79 2/27/2010 9:44:00 PM

I passed on these at the drugstore for a long time before I actually tried them for I thought that they would be chippy and low quality. Boy, was I ever wrong!! These wear like iron on me!! With Barielle hydrating ridgefiller and Seche Vite topcoat layered over winning nails toughcoat, I can get a week or more out of these and I'm also sure to wrap the tips with all layers. Amazing for a $1 product! Blue moon is my fave of all I've worn so far and it's a lovely dark blue. Don't knock these before you try 'em!

Top/Base Coats -Barielle - Manicure Extender
rated 5 of 5
kahou79 12/16/2009 9:20:00 PM

This is a fabulous product!! When I want my mani to last awhile, I apply this the day after my initial mani making sure to wrap the tips well. It's not meant to be applied to wet polish for it won't dry properly. I can get a week or more out of a manicure with this product and I can't get excited enough about it. I was able to get mine at TJMaxx for under 4 bucks and if you have one in your area you should go check it out. A must have!!!
