This is my dramatic lip color of choice. Definitely for nighttime only, and I agree that it's gothy. But for rare nights when I want ultra-glam, don't-you-wish-you-could-kiss-them lips, I do neutral-toned eye make-up, matte skin, and Diva lipstick with a good dose of clear MAC Lipglass on top. The heavy gloss is a must, or it is too goth. I use a brush to apply this stuff as it's too dark to make any mistakes with. I have extremely fair skin, and strangely, this is the only bright red that I can pull off.
Outlast really does stay put. I used to avoid lipstick because I'm such a clutz about smudging it, but not with this stuff. I can't wear it everyday because it is so drying. BUT the unexpected benefit of using this product was that it cured my lip balm dependence! If you're like this, you know what I'm talking about - you're lips stop producing natural emollients and *cannot* go a day without lip balm. Using Outlast fixed that! I like the "Naturalist" and "Cinnamon Stick" colors. Overall, a good buy, but I will be trying some of the other long-lasting lip colors to see if I can find one that I can wear every day. UPDATE - I've discovered The Body Shop's lip stain. It's not opaque like Outlast, and only has 3 shades, but it is WAY more natural-looking, comfortable and non-drying. I'll still use Outlast for a bolder "done-up" look.

This is a simple, fresh fragrance that doesn't overwhelm the nose and doesn't irritate my super-sensitive skin! I find this scent lacks a "bottom note" (which is just fine for me by day) so for evenings, I sometimes dab a bit of lavender oil behind my ears to add some depth to the scent - they blend well. My travel-size spritzer of this stuff never leaves my purse. I love it.
