Lipstick -Urban Decay - Sellout
ubaydah 8/16/2009 5:08:00 PM
this colour is a reddish burgundy that is veeeery sheer. it is also very moisturizing and i kinda like the smell. the cool thing about this is you dont need lipbalm underneathe because its so moisturizing. i love the colour. it looked great on my caramel skin. i heard covergirls trushine blushberry shine lipstick is a drugstore dupe so i'm going to buy that. even if this lipstick werent so expensive i wodnt repurchase because to get the true colour of the lipstick you haveta keep reapplying cuz its so sheer and u end up using a up a whole tube pretty quickly.

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - BADgal Lash
ubaydah 8/16/2009 3:00:00 AM
Ummm..why is this called BAD gal lash?? when you hear the name it makes you think your going to end up with edgy/dramatic/flirtacious lashes. at least i do. i just tried this on and it barely darkened my lashes. ive NEVER used such a natural looking mascara. it legthened OK but barely. it didnt make my lashes brittle either. but there was like NO product on the wand. i felt like i was just combing thru my lashes with a lash comb. and i just fell asleep for an hour and its flaked all over my face. ive slept with mascara on before for longer and thats never happened. not good. ive used drugstore mascaras that totally own this mascara.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Bronze Eyeshadow
ubaydah 8/8/2009 11:51:00 AM
very nice bronze a little orange-ish would pair great with blues. i usually use for my 'neutral' looks. i probably wouldnt repurchase even tho its a good bronze eyeshadow that isnt too red and is always needed, its very pigmented, long lasting. however bronzes such as this one can be found in any line and possibly for cheaper.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Steamy
ubaydah 8/8/2009 11:45:00 AM

i am of a caramel skin tone and have dark eyes. this colour on my eyes makes my eyes stand out like nothing else. such a beautiful blue-ish-green. very shimmery. however even with a good, expensive eye primer this stuff can crease and fade. but not all mac shadows do that. its very blendable and moist, not chalky at all. with this shadow since its so pigmented and blendable a little goes a long way. will i repurchase? if i cannot find a dupe in another line that lasts longer/doesnt crease then no. but i doubt that'll happen. you'd think for a tiny shadow thats $18 CND you'd get something that would stay on. i've seen drugstore shadows last longer. but newho the colour is fab so i still love it:)

Eyeliner -Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner
ubaydah 6/13/2009 3:35:00 PM
i give the packaging a five because i find the built in sharpener/retractable feature easy to use. the price is a five because i find i expensive for a DS eyeliner overall rating a three because i tested this $10 CANADIAN eyeliner on one eye and my bonne belle $2 eyeliner on the other eye and both wore off during the day EXACTLY the same. the only diferences are: the revlon eyeliner is way creamier and therefore no tugging=less future wrinkles. so i would repurchase this to use on days where i don't have time to run my bonne belle eyeliner under the hairdryer. however another lippie off this product because it takes a couple of swipes to show up on the waterline and it isnt very black/pigmented.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner - Black
ubaydah 6/13/2009 3:26:00 PM
I am really impressed with this liner. I really love my eyeliner but with my oily eyelids i find everythings smudged and disappeared within an hour. so when i read the reviews for this product on MUA i had to go out and get it. i bought it and and was so excited that only the way home i put a lil on my hand just to see what the intensity/pigmentation is like. i liked what i saw but i forgot about as i washed up to eat dinner, showered, washed again as i got ready for bed, moisturized my hands and was SHOCKED to look down and see that the liner was STILL there. i rubbed. didnt move. rubbed again-wouldnt move. it stayed on my hand for two days and weared off of course by the end of the two days. but my regular Urban decay, bonne bell, revlon, loreal eyeliners would NEVER have lasted that long. so gone are the days where i have to reapply my liner all the time. i think the brush is OK but i still prefer my slanted eco tools brush. the only con in this product and hence the 4 stars is that if you are a contact lense wearer you cannot put this on ur water line. it breaks off into your eyeball in little pieces during the day and is VERY uncomfortable. so i use it on my top/bottom lash line but i do not tightline/waterline with this. would def. repurchase especially since i got this for $5 Canadian-the value is AH-MAAAAAAAAZING!!! UPDATE: still love this but this is not OIL proof (however it is waterproof.) i have very dry undereyes and use alot of eyecream in my eye area. ive found that it smudges a bit under my eye area but not as much as other liners. but for the price? still pretty much HG.

Concealers -L'Oreal - Infallible Concealer
ubaydah 6/13/2009 3:11:00 PM
I really love this concealer and have used it for years now. great staying power-will last good for a school day maybe but for an all night party/wedding/thing you'd def. have to reapply at least one. its pretty pigmented but wish it were a bit more pigmented. i like that its of neutral undertones so it matches all skintones. i like the packaging and the familliar red tube, makes it very easy to find in my makeup bag. i actually use the lightest shade to highlight down the bridge of my nose. the only con in this product, is that it really dries out my combination skin. i find i have to really moisturize well with this and even then i get flaky spots. but if it were a moisturiing concealer it wouldn't last as long now would it? therefore, i would def. repurchase.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Olive Oil as Serum for Hair
ubaydah 6/8/2009 12:59:00 AM
Olive oil is amaaaing for your hair. I used to use baby oil until my hairdresser told me its bad for your hair. (duh, have you seen the ingredient list?) she said olive oil would be best and i started using it and omg my hair is sooo much healthier thank God. now i don't have to cut my hair every four weeks because of the split ends. i have dry hair and the cold canadian climate does not help. however my scalp can get oily very easily. so what i do is after a shower i gently towel dry and then pour a bit into my palm and rub my hands together. i then rub that on to the varying lengths of my hair avoiding any hair above my ears. (oilier hair in that area due to oily scalp) and after my hair drys m hair is shiny, dark, lustrous, and bouncy. i do this everyday after i shower. my hair doesn't break as much anymore and is it just me or is my hair thicker? newho its cheap, not really any smell and best of all natural. also my middle eastern ancestors used it for centuries. tried and true:)

Powder -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation
ubaydah 5/31/2009 3:59:00 AM
at first i REALLY REALLY loved this product-even on my first try. my friend was the first one to buy a jar and at my friends bday party everyone said her skin was glowing. and it was. it showed up the most in her photos tho. so then my other friend wanted to try it so she bot one too but she started breaking out but her skin DID glow so i tried it when i was at her house just in a few key spots. and in the pictures my skin was GLOWING. so i went out and bot a jar. i never would have thot id love a powder found. that much. im usually a liquid found. girl. this stuff blended amazingly, lasted most of the day in humid weather and didnt oxidize, covered really well, wasnt powdery instead it looked dewy after it had set and was fast and simple to use. i even actually liked the brush and packaging. as bulky a it is its convenient to have the brush connected to the product. however within two days or so i developed little itchy red, raised bumps. keep in mind that i never (thank god) break out like that other than a zit here or there due to stress or my menstural cycle. i thot it was the heat. but then i came on MUA and read every single review on this product and realized that i wasnt the only one whod suffered from 'itchy, red bumps' after using this product. i also found out the cause could be something called bismuth which many ppl have a sensitivity too. and i wouldnt consider my skin sensitve. needless to say i stopped using this for one day and the next day the itchies and redness were gone. so great product but not for me and clearly not for many other girls. UPDATE***** So i was really bummed out over the fact that I could not use this foundation because I really loved the finish it gave me and I usually do not have skin this sensitive. So after a bit of research I found out that Bismuth can cause irritation if you have been sweating or your face is hot. And I am in a very hot climate in South Asia right now so as soon as i get home to cold, dry Canada i'm going to give this a try again! hope that helps some ladies who suffered from the same reaction as myself:)

Masks -The Body Shop - Aloe Protective & Restorative Mask
ubaydah 5/25/2009 5:21:00 AM
This product is a lifesaver if you have dry , irritated, or senstive skin. I'm in bangladesh right now for four months. when i left from my home country (canada) i was facing minus temperatures and snow. then when i arrived in bangladesh (southern asia) i face extreme heat and heat waves and some days here go up as high as 50 degrees. the sudden change plus my sensitive skin created a nightmare. i erupted in painful and itchy and red heat rashes and i broke out from sweating. i generally don't have senstive skin. this mask is the only things that soothes me. i use it often like 4-5 times a week because as another reviewer stated it will expire quickly so try using it up in a year or so. it absorbs quickly, has a fresh scent that i like, silky texture and extremely moisturizing but not in a greasy way. i love this stuff!

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara Blackest Black
ubaydah 5/24/2009 1:17:00 PM
i also (along with all my friends) used this during my early teen years. that is when we first started experimenting with makeup and this was dirt cheap and fit for experiementing. i haven't really come across a mascara as black and glossy as this so for that its good. however not much length, curl holding power or volume. and it flaked. i think many other drugstore and obv. HE mascaras blow this one out of the water.

gorgeous pink however this formula was way too sheer. and adding extra coats would be fine-if it didn't take so long to dry. but its OK. but next time i want a nice pink i'll try a different formula.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Active Light Makeup SPF 25 ] [DISCONTINUED]
ubaydah 4/26/2009 4:38:00 AM
The packaging, first of all, is terrible, 1) because you cannot see the product on the inside of the bottle. 2) the bottles are in boxes, which tho will keep the formula from being tampered with-it means you can't test to see your colour at all. colours: in canada at least they're pretty limited. i don't know what darker skinned ladies do. the undertones of most of them are pink which means if you are neutral or yellowish you're going to end up looking gray. and isn't the point of foundation to keep you from looking dead? looked like i had blush all over my face. Smell: i detected no offenive scent. price: i got mine for 16.96 CND at wal mart which is actually kind of pricey for a drugstore product considering mac is like just a few bucks more. consistency: it was actually kind of interesting because it was thick but then it covered like a tinted moisturizer. hence, the reason i hope to be able to return this. if you suffer from freckles, hyperpgimentation, ance, acne scarring or bad undereye circles i would suggest that you avoid this. but if you've got healthy skin and just want to even out some skin tone and have pinkish undertones-then i say go for it:) and keep in mind my undereye circles and pigmentation aren`t that bad (thank God) so i was surprised when it didn`t cover me. additionally, when i tried to build it-it looked..cakey, fake. this is probably because the formula is so thick. i`d prefer something that is better coverage so i can adjust it to how how much coverage i want per occasion. for example with my loreal true match i can keep it sheer or i could build it to cover a scar. (but i`m searching for something else because the staying power of loreal true match is terrible) I hope they will let me take this back-if not i'll have to find another use for it. oh but the one thing i REALLY do admire about this tinted moisturizer is that the spf 25 is amazingly high. i don`t know why companies don`t add higher spf`s to foundations. most foundations (HE as well) will oxidize and the sunscreen can help counteract that. newho will not repurchase due to lack of coverage.
