This product was dry and sticky.Another one I tossed in the garbage where it belonged. Love the NYC nail polish but this product is a failure.

I agree with the previous reviewer- this stain is horrible. Dries up after 2 or 3 uses and is costly to boot. Such a disappointment from a usually reputable brand.

Hair -Biosilk - Rock Hard Gelee

On my 3rd tube now, this gel is the best I have ever used. Like many others, I was blowing my naturally curly hair straight. You know, that same boring straight hair, side bang look all the clones wear today. Now, I just wash and condition, leave it soaking wet and squish in this magic gel. Air dry and put up in a high loose pony tail at night. Next morning, gorgeous fluffy curls. All I do is straighten my side bangs( 1 minute) and it looks like I have spent an hour curling it with a curling iron.

Primer/ Corrector -Rimmel - Fix and Perfect Foundation Primer

Its an orange, sheer primer and is useless.It doesnt do anything and I am sorry I bought it, so perhaps someone will read this and avoid wasting their money. UPDATE: Oct 2009. I noticed my local WalMart is selling off the Rimmel primer as a freebie with Rimmel Stay Matte foundation.Guess its so bad, they are "giving" it away.

Moisturizers -Weleda - Skin Food

Just found this at our local health food store for far less than the Whole Foods charges. I had used up my sample tube so wanted a full size. If you are over 40 and want a "dewy" look, this is the cream for you. I think this is the "glow" some others talk about. What ever you call it, it makes you look healthy and is great for your skin. Weleda has a long reputation of providing Eurpeans with skin care products that dont use harsh chemicals. They even grow their own herbs! European woman put far more emphasis on skin care than trying to cover up skin with makeup. Its a brand you can trust not to muck up your skin.

Polishes -New York Color - In a New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish

HG status and NO topcoat ever need, just top with more NYC polish. I just tried Madison Avenue, a bright red. It went on thin, you need two coats but it is smooth and shiny. At my age, if you draw attention to your nails, they better look good and this polish does just that. Its AMAZING. I just cleared my garden beds, wearing garden gloves and expected the worst when I pulled them off- but- no chips at all! Under $2 CND. a steal at the Superstore.I loved the look of the W&W Rock Hard polish but it chipped with in hours. I will be buying this again. Update:June 4 2009 This polish lasts even longer without a topcoat. I just compared it to a red from OPI my girlfriend was wearing and it looked identical ( at a 1/4 of the price of OPI) Update: June 8th 2009 This is my HG polish. I just keep layering it on if I want to get more shine and this polish is flexible so its barely chippped after a week. I am tempted to keep it on 2 weeks before a change. Now I just wish there was a wider colour range.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Nail Magic

Agree with all the positive comments. I have gone off gel nails ( $ 500 a year and they only look good the first week anyway) and figured , hey, I can buy alot of polish and treatments for $500. So treated myself to Nail Magic, from Sallys, after reading good reviews. I am pleasantly surprised to find my flimsy nails have hardened up within 10 days and are growing without splits.Barielle and Nutranail did not work for me. Plus the colour of Nail Magic is a dupe for the Essie pinks so your nails do look a bit like they have been french polished. My main goal was to rescue my poor nails after gels and this is doing it nicely.

Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish Enriched w/ Minerals

Bought this on the advise of Emilynoel83 on Youtube. Her make up videos are great and this is one of her recommended items.She is a newscaster and under lights several hours a day. I think this is the first foundation I am actually going to buy again. I really like how it easily blends in but lasts all day.It is creamy enough for my skin. It gives me a finished look with out heavy caking. I can skip powder if I want. Not as keen on the Rimmel primer but find using Monistat as a primer works just fine with the Rimmel foundation.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner - Black

I have tried several gel/creme black liners, including Red Earth ( pricey) Jane etc and this is, by far, the best. Anyone with oily eye lids will be thrilled with this liner. Throw away the brush and use a thinner one or buy one from your local Big box craft store ( artists quality brushes at a fraction of the price). .
