Skincare - Body -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Lavender Hand Wash
rated 5 of 5

I am on my 3rd bar now and one bar of soap can last you for 3 whole months if you bath once to twice daily. You can use the soap until it becomes so thin that it's transparent but unbroken and yet you still get it to foam. I cannot say enough how much I love using this. I was using Johnson's PH 5.5 for the longest time, since i was a teenager i think and would not even look at anything else cause it's the only liquid soap that doesnt have an overbearing scent and doesnt dry my skin out. Until I ventured into organic bath and body products I had no idea a bar of soap can make so much difference! Just rinsing gets all the soap off and I love that no-residue feeling I get from using this. Will I repurchase: YYYYEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!

Loose Powders -T. LeClerc - Loose Powder in Camelia
rated 5 of 5
suelll 5/30/2005 6:33:00 AM

I got this in camelia though i wanted to try banane but SA told me that camelia would be a better match for me. i suppose she's right and how lovely it looks on the skin. you would need to apply it with a brush if you want a sheer and smooth result. initially it would look too white or pale on the skin but after after a while about the time you take to get to where you are going with that makeup on it should set and look perfect. unbelievable soft and smooth looking. can be drying if not moisturized before, i love to just dust it on my face after moisturizer is absorbed on my good skin days. on pimple laden days i will use foundation and set with shu's matte loose powder with a puff instead which does a great job at making your pores dissapear and yet looking natural.

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Tendre Poison
rated 4 of 5
suelll 5/27/2005 3:13:00 AM

I find it to be very light, unlike the first poison this one can be worn on almost any occasion day or night formal or casual. it fades after the first 30 minutes i wish it wouldnt do that because it's such a lovely scent. something that reminds me of something else that i cant quite put my finger to even when the first time i sampled it. i'm impressed by dior yet another time.

I really really like this unfortunately i somehow never came to buying it....maybe i always think there are better smelling ones out there i would prefer to spend my money trying. the stopper of my miniature edt just broke and i was left with the tiny bottle with some perfume in it stuck forever...o how i miss it, makes you relax and reminesce. goes well with feminine clothings, cool weather, a cup of tea and a nice book. lovely.

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Christian Dior-Dune EDP
rated 4 of 5
suelll 5/26/2005 6:03:00 AM

a littel goes a loooong way with this one. i only dabbed a tiny bit on my wrist and it lasted the whole day. i could picture myself having a headache if i had used a spray version. mine was a miniature parfum so it's perfect to get the now u smell it and now u dont kinda situation. can be over-bearing if used too much. kindda reminds of ck's obsession. there is something in it that does but it escapes me...overall it's classy if temperature around you in low otherwise it will give those around u a headache they wont forget but i like it nonetheless if used very very sparingly. i probably would have the bottle forever so i won't repurchase.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - travel brush set
rated 2 of 5
suelll 5/25/2005 5:16:00 AM

I thought MAC brushes are suppose to be one of the best. how wrong was I....the powder brush was the worst among the 5 (even my t.leclerc one is better), it was shedding like a cat and I was like enough all-rrreadyyyy, but that's not the only thing. when i washed it even up to the 3rd wash the dye from its hair keeps running, yikes. I didnt know that they actually put dye in their brushes. It didnt exactly feel soft on my skin either, in fact it kinda was a bit poking. I havent touched it after 1 month. the talkon concealer brush was alright, tho it hasnt shed yet i can see that they are about to. the large eye shadow brush was too big for my liking, i prefer it to be a little smaller that way i can use multi use it. bristle was a bit on the coarse side too. oh well.... the lip brush was i guess the best, slim enough to slip into my stila lip palette without too much fuss. has not shed and i dont think it will, size is just right for applying lip colors, lip glaze or gloss. the small angle brush was also not so hand-made like advertised. i prefer my shu badger angle brush for lining my brows much much better. basically i think the shu line outrival MAC's and they cost around the same anyways. the only way that they excelled among the other better brush makers is that their packaging and presentation is cooler and therefore more appealing. but i wont repurchase even if it cost half of retail, save your money and get shu's.

Moisturizers -Aesop - Oil Free Facial Hydrating Serum
rated 4 of 5
suelll 5/20/2005 3:19:00 AM

Great stuff as with most Aesop products. I love the scent, it feels really natural and herbal, almost zen-like but goes off after a few minutes. It's suppose to be instantly absorbed and it did and left my skin smooth and soft and shine-less. i thought it was a little too dry for me but actually it's just perfect to give you moisture without the grease as i use a sunscreen daily. seem to work also laura mercier's tinted moisturizer spf 20. I might get their regular moisturizer to alternate between on my drier days. Comes in a no-fuss brown glass bottle with a dropper.

Treatments (Eye) -Aesop - Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Eye Serum
rated 3 of 5
suelll 5/20/2005 3:12:00 AM

I bought this a couple of days ago and tho it's pricey it really delivers. The starting to wrinkle area under my eyes looked more smooth and I don't feel any tightness or stress when the wind blows at my face. I just put one drop on each ring fingertips using the drop it comes with and smooth it onto under my eyes and it's absorb almost instantly. I haven't tried blending in with my mac concealer yet as lately i didnt feel like putting on any makeup. but i suppose it would blend nicely tho it might not be as easily with my shiseido benifiance eye cream which is rather oily. Nice herbal scent like lemongrass/ lavender like..I will repurchase after I m done with my current bottle. UPDATE: nothing compares to my sisleya after all. i still prefer using cream to combat the dehydration lines and my skin felt tight and dry after using this for too long. unless i layer another eye cream on top of it but whats the point, will not repurchase. 2 lippies off.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Peppermint Lip Glaze
rated 3 of 5
suelll 5/20/2005 2:56:00 AM

A very pretty sweet pinkish tint, shiny but non sticky, over-priced as with all lip glaze but I get to try this shade from one of Stila's lip glaze pocket palettes which i think make a better bargain. 4 shades for the price of 2...Won't repurchase the clicking pen at full price...

Lip Gloss -Stila - Gingerbread Lip Glaze
rated 4 of 5
suelll 5/20/2005 2:48:00 AM

I don't have the clicking lip glaze in this shade but i tried it from my lip glaze pocket palette and it's absolutely gorgeous! Extremly similar to cinnamon which is a soft brownish pink-beige with a subtle shimmer but this one is totally without shimmer. It's shiny, not sticky and looks very natural. Loved it! But due to the price I won't repurhase it in the clicking pen form.

Lip Gloss -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Lip Gloss - Rose Sugar
rated 3 of 5
suelll 5/20/2005 2:19:00 AM

I have used mine without any problems the first couple of times but now the brush's bristle were somehow twistedly out-of-place and looked like an inferior product. A pretty shimmery shade, will flatter most skin tones texture is very sticky but aren't most gloss....i must learn to get over this..Won't repurchase the shimmery range but will give the other nicer no-shimmer colors a try.

Lip Gloss -Baby Pink - Lipgloss in Cherry
rated 3 of 5
suelll 5/20/2005 2:02:00 AM

I bought 3 minis for only $2.65 at my local pharmacy, i kept the cherry coloured one for myself and gave the other two away to a friend. one was pink with shimmer and the other one was a pale-beige with shimmer. Cherry gives the lips a wet shiny 'kawaii' look, however it does crumple and dry off after a few hours. the tube is the hardest to use without making a mess. the moment the screw cap is off, product will ooze out and if you have slow hands or if you are driving and dont have a mirror in hand then it's best to just leave this product at home near your dresser. If you are well prepared, quickly dab the product on your lower lip and smack! It's the only way I have ever used it. A brush might be helpful but it will leave it really sticky afterwards which whipping with tissue will only worsen. Makeup remover, mirror, clean lips, free hands...all checked! Won't repurchase even for the price.

Lip Gloss -Shu Uemura - Sweet Lipgloss Peach
rated 3 of 5
suelll 5/20/2005 1:45:00 AM

A sheer lip gloss that needs to be applied over lippies or else it would just look shiny and moist with very little color showing. And it also smells like the fruit. Staying power is low and it comes in a squeze type tube which i need to apply with with a brush. I have had mine for over a year and I m barely half way, 13.5ml is like 10 times the amount of the original sized stila lip glaze that I have but they cost around the same.....

Lip Gloss -Stila - Cinnamon Lip Glaze
rated 4 of 5
suelll 5/20/2005 1:35:00 AM

I got this from a makeup set that was on promotion otherwise it would have taken me ages to fork out that kind of money to try Stila's lip glazes. The first time I tried to use it i think i clicked it too many a time and it was oozing out beyond control and there was nothing i could do except to apply it to my lips and QUICK....I ended up with a layer of it on my lips thicker that i normally would prefer my lipgloss to be. So remember if you are using it for the first time, wait a bit after the first 2 clicks. Maybe I applied too much but it really felt uncomfortable at first cause you can barely move the muscles around your mouth without a weird feeling. But overall it will make anyone look great and cinnamon is the perfect 'natural' shade for me, i wear NC20 concealer. It has very minimal shimmer on the tube but on lips it doesn't show which I really like in a gloss. And because it's so expensive I only use it sparingly. I would probably repurchase it if it's included in a set I won't pay the full price unless it's the best in the market. I haven't tried any of Mac's yet but I am pretty certain they have better ones.
