BB Cream -MISSHA - M Perfect Cover BB Cream
rated 5 of 5
slippingbeauty 11/27/2011 2:26:00 AM

Nothing I have ever tried has made my skin look so perfect. I am very pale and neutral and I use 13. It matches pretty nicely and covers well. I like the soft scent and with a setting spray, it lasts pretty much all day. I also love the package. There's not really anything that I don't like about this product other than the fact that it isn't easily accessible--as far as I know, you can only buy it online. I will definitely repurchase this as well as some of the other Missha BB creams.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Silent Treatment
rated 4 of 5
slippingbeauty 11/27/2011 12:16:00 AM

This is a pretty, inexpensive palette of neutrals. There's nothing terribly great or exciting about it, but the shadows are good quality and the colors are very wearable. I'm glad that WnW streamlined their packaging a bit and made it more modern so that it doesn't look very cheap now.

Lip Treatments -Korres - Lip Butter - Jasmine

I really, really like this product. The consistency is nice, the color is gorgeous, and it isn't too terribly expensive. I wish it wasn't in a pot, but what can you do? Overall, it is a great product.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Powder Brush
rated 4 of 5
slippingbeauty 11/26/2011 11:53:00 PM

I really like this brush. It works as nicely as much more expensive powder brushes I've had in the past. I can't give it a five because it loses some of it's softness as it gets washed, but otherwise it works very well. I like the packaging, I love that it is cruelty-free and also ecologically responsible. I might just repurchase a new one when this one gets too stiff.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express One by One
rated 2 of 5
slippingbeauty 11/26/2011 11:46:00 PM

Like so many others, I really didn't like this mascara much at all. In general, Maybelline has really brought a lot to the drug store mascara scene, but this one fails pretty terribly. I assume it is supposed to be their answer to Lash Blast, but it really doesn't even come close. I have short lashes that are pretty straight, and this just does nothing at all. I do recommend other Maybelline mascaras, especially The Falsies Flared and The Colossal, but I absolutely cannot recommend this one.

Loose Powders -Palladio - Rice Powder
rated 4 of 5
slippingbeauty 11/26/2011 11:44:00 PM

While I am not crazy in love with this powder, it is nice. My all-time HG is MUFE HD Powder, and this is nothing in comparison. However, the MUFE powder is pretty expensive, so I like having a cheaper alternative around. It controls oil fairly well, but I do need to blot my t-zone after a few hours with this powder. Overall, for the price the product is really good, but it isn't the best loose powder on the market by a mile.,

Brows -Jordana - Easybrow
rated 5 of 5
slippingbeauty 11/26/2011 11:38:00 PM

I really like this brow pencil. It has a better undertone than my previous brow pencil from Rimmel. Like Rimmel, it has a brush on the cap that helps with shaping the brows. It lasts nicely, but I do usually use a makeup setting spray on top (either Skindinavia or Urban Decay.)

Moisturizers -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Formula Daily Facial Lotion with SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
slippingbeauty 11/26/2011 11:35:00 PM

There are several things that I really love about this moisturizer. I think for the sake of writing a good review, I will just list the things that I like. -Moisturizes dry patches really well, but doesn't leave certain areas oily (good for combo) -Nice, light scent that doesn't irritate -Works nicely under a variety of foundations -Doesn't cause acne on acne-prone skin -SPF 15 with UVA/UVB protection. I am very, very fair and skin cancer runs in my family so I always have to have a moisturizer with SPF, but a lot of SPFs irritate my skin, cause burning or cause breakouts. This does none of these. I've noticed that my skin overall feels a lot softer and I'm not having as many problems with redness or dry patches. I've been using this with the night cream from the same line and I like both products a lot. When I run out of facial scrub and cleanser I will also try the cleanser and scrub from this line. It's very economical; previously, the only SPF moisturizer that I could use with any kind of success was Olay, and this is typically about $3 cheaper per bottle.

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Sweet Mint
rated 3 of 5
slippingbeauty 11/26/2011 11:27:00 PM

I really like the mintyness, and I haven't been able to find a good minty balm for a while. However, I don't feel like this is the best balm for moisturizing. The sphere thing is pretty neat, but it is just a gimmick. Overall, I like the product, but I'm not sure I would repurchase.

Moisturizers -Palmers - Night Renewal Cream
rated 5 of 5
slippingbeauty 11/26/2011 11:19:00 PM

In general, I like this product a lot. The only thing I would really change is the packaging. I don't like the heavy glass/plastic lid combo at all. However, the product inside is AMAZING. In the fall and winter I get really dry skin patches on my chin and around my nose but I started using this about a month ago and I haven't had any of those problems yet. This cream is very moisturizing but it isn't greasy at all. My skin is sensitive and acne prone, so I have to be very careful with what I put on it, especially at night. I have been using this for about a month and a half and I think it might be my HG night cream. It has a nice, light smell that doesn't irritate. If you can find this, buy it. If you have dry skin or combo/dry, you will love it.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter
rated 4 of 5
slippingbeauty 11/26/2011 11:08:00 PM

Thus far, I only have this product in Peach Parfait, but I do plan on picking up more of the shades. I really love the packaging for this product-it's just so cute. The balm itself is nice, but I do still need to use a moisturizing balm at night because this doesn't do much to moisturize my lips. It basically leaves a wash of glowy color. I'm sad that they're still a little hard to find, but I assume that these are a permanent addition to Revlon's line.

Eyeliner -Jordana - Rock On Silver Glitter Rocks
rated 4 of 5
slippingbeauty 9/25/2011 11:11:00 PM

This is a very bright light silver with silver glitter. The thing that I really like about this liner is that it is crazy long-lasting. I was really surprised, given the price point. I like to use this mostly under my lower lashes to give some brightness to the eye. I don't find that there's too much fallout with the glitter in this one, which is a plus.

Hair Color -Manic Panic - Temporary Hair dye
rated 5 of 5
slippingbeauty 9/25/2011 10:41:00 PM

Something that people should realize about this dye is that it is plant-based, so it is inherently different than chemical dyes that most people are used to. You can leave this on for as long as you like. One method that works really well is to mix the dye w/ a little deep conditioner, saturate hair, wrap, cover with a shower cap, and leave it on while you sleep. As long as the dye is wet, it will continue to adhere to the hair. This can make colors like Atomic Pink that would normally last for 3-4 washings last for more like 20 washings. Also, the Manic Panic in the jars that you can buy at Sally and other places is less pigmented than the gel variety (which may be discontinued) because it has built-in conditioner. That's right, this dye nourishes your hair while you use it. So slather it on, wrap it up, and let it soak in to your hair.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri Nailpolish Colors
rated 3 of 5
slippingbeauty 9/12/2011 3:03:00 AM

I really like the brushes in these bottles, but for the price you don't really get much product. And the claim that these are 1-coaters is totally bunk. They do put out some cool LE colors from time to time, but you can't really build a collection around this line.

Polishes -China Glaze - Ruby Pumps
rated 4 of 5
slippingbeauty 9/12/2011 3:02:00 AM

This polish is a must-have. Its very flattering and wells really well. It is equally good on fingers and toes. As with most China Glaze polishes, it does wear relatively well. The best part is that you really only need two coats, but a third adds some pretty depth.
