Foundations -Anna Sui - Powder foundation

This is a decent powder foundation. There are shades for the palest among us (tip - don't get the lightest. I always wear the lightest shade except here) The consistency is nice although it does seem to wear off quickly. I love, love, love the cute compact. I don't think I would buy again though - I prefer Stila IPF and UD Surreal Skin.

Misc Beauty Tools -Anna Sui - Blotting Papers
jesdmill 10/8/2001 7:24:00 AM
These are expensive for what you get. Although they do ok at removing oil they are flimsy and tear easily - and they're nowhere near as good as any number of brands that are much cheaper.

Lip Gloss -Anna Sui - Lip Gel
jesdmill 10/8/2001 7:23:00 AM
I have 2 of these - a pink one and a gold one. I find them to be runny and although I don't mind the smell I suspect that some people would. They're also a bit overpriced for the amount you get.

Skincare - Face -Anna Carera - Botanical Cleanser

I love this cleanser! It washes away makeup but doesn't make me overly dry - and I love the scent!

Eye Shadow -Amphigory - Eye shadows

I am very impressed with these shadows. They're inexpensive and have a wonderful color range. My favorite is Lavaliscious, which is a lavender with tiny sea green microglitter. It's utterly unique and fabulous. I can't recommend this brand enough!

Eyes -Amphigory - Loose eye shadows

I love, love, love these! They're so cheap ($4 each!) yet they work so well! They have 2 different kinds. The first is like MAC Pigments - I have gold and polar bear (which is white that flashes blue). I also have their traditional eye dusts (similar to face stockholms) in pink opal, and also a mermaidy green one. I recommend these as an alternative to pricey Mac and FS ones.

Lipstick -Almay - One Coat - Sequin
jesdmill 10/8/2001 7:16:00 AM
Great color - I think this is almost a universal color. It's a shimmery medium plum that is very slightly sheer - looks different on many people! I do find the formula to be slightly drying.

Liquid -Almay - Skin Stays Clean [DISCONTINUED]
jesdmill 10/8/2001 7:15:00 AM
This is my favorite cream to powder foundation. It has a nice cooling feeling going on and it wears very well. My only complaint is that there was not a shade light enough for me.

Eye Shadow -Agnes B. - Eye shadows
jesdmill 10/8/2001 7:14:00 AM
Overall I have a favorable impression of these. I have 2, in a plum and a pink. They're both shimmery and have a nice texture. The only problem I have with them is that they're so sheer sometimes they seem to disappear! They don't have great staying power either, but they're cheap and come in a great range of shades - worth trying!

Primer/ Corrector -Agnes B. - Apricot Complexion Enhancer / L'Embellisseur Abricot
jesdmill 10/8/2001 7:12:00 AM
I didn't like this very much. I got a sample packet and tried it. At first I thought it made a nice light base and then I realized that I was completely orange! I tried it again under foundation but it still didn't work. The scent also made me crazy. To be honest, I am very pale and that probably didn't help, but the catalog markets this stuff to all women and there is just no way!

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Charm Basic Solution
jesdmill 10/8/2001 7:10:00 AM
I'll have to admit, I'm still not entirely sure what this stuff is supposed to do. It's a lavender colored liquid in a tall bottle with subtle shimmer. It does smell really nice - kind of like roses. It didn't work for me as a toner or a cleanser, and the instructions that came with it weren't clear - I'm giving it a 3 because I'm just not sure about it!

Powders -BeneFit Cosmetics - Kitten Goes To Paris
jesdmill 10/8/2001 7:05:00 AM
This is a very, very cute product - love the packaging and the cute little puff. However, it is definately not worth 25 dollars - that's just crazy! I bought it with a GC or I wouldn't have tried it. I liked it but found that I never used it so I swapped it away.

Palettes -Urban Decay - Nymph to Glam Face Case
jesdmill 10/8/2001 7:03:00 AM
I didn't care for this product. While I love Urban Decay and own many of their shadows and lipgunks I felt this product was inferior. I didn't find the shadows to have the same quality that the ones in pots do - they were sheer and barely showed up on me! Plus the shadow color combo in this palette was weird and I couldn't wear them together. I also didn't find the texture of the lip products to be good - I bought a bruise lipgunk after trying the one in the palette and found that the colors weren't even similar.

Palettes -Stila - 4-pan Compact
jesdmill 10/8/2001 6:59:00 AM
I have 4 four pans. I never upgraded to 8 pans because I couldn't justify the cost. I haven't had trouble with their durability - I think they're miles more durable than the Stila lipstick cases (which I hate.) They do stain easily, but I don't mind. I keep all my palettes (Stila, MAC, WTF, UD, Nars, and Amphigory) out on my vanity - I stack the ones that are all the same size. That keeps them from getting dirty. Plus they're supercute! :)

Great color! I lemminged this and love it! On me it's a maroonish berry with gold shimmer - beautiful!
