Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational - Pink Please ] ] [DISCONTINUED]

At first, the lipstick itself looks like a nice salmon pink. However, don't be fooled by what the shade on the stick looks like! It turned out way lighter than I expected. I'm an NC 37-42, and the color looked extremely pale on my lips. And the formula was drying. So, dried pale lips=fail. I was opting for a warmer pink. Oh well

Blush -MAC - Rhubarb
rated 5 of 5
jellybabe23 11/16/2009 4:29:00 AM

This is my absolute favorite blush from MAC! I am an NC37-42, and putting it on, it does not look like the color in the pan. It look straight up violet, but when I put it on, it looks like a touch of pinkish-plum. I always feel pretty when I wear this blush, and since it's so pigmented, I just dip my brush in it once and the color deposits beautifully. The only thing about this is, I bought it a few months ago at the Pro store..

Primer/ Corrector -MAC - Prep + Prime Skin
rated 2 of 5
jellybabe23 11/16/2009 4:09:00 AM

Since I have oily skin, I always need a primer before I put on foundation. This primer has little flecks of glitter or sparkles in it, which I hated, so it made me look like I still had oily skin. It's creamy and your skin feels quite silky, but i've used better primers in the past. For the price I paid, I didn't want glitter in my freaking primer. The only thing I liked about it is the pump.

Eyes -Ardell - Demi Wispies - Black
rated 4 of 5
jellybabe23 11/16/2009 3:41:00 AM

I naturally have long lashes, but they are unfortunately thin, so I bought these at Sally's Beauty because I wanted dramatic "mink-looking" lashes. These were perfect because the strip contains more lash hairs than the other Ardell lashes, and true to its name, these are "wispy-looking," not perfectly straight lashes. It is also an invisiBand, meaning the lashline is clear, but since I use dark lash glue, the clear band turns dark as well.

Eyeliner -Jordana - Easyliner for Eyes - Eggplant
rated 4 of 5
jellybabe23 11/15/2009 3:15:00 PM

I've been looking for a deep brown-purple eyeliner for ages because black is too harsh for daytime, and I've just gotten sick of using brown all the time. This retractable eyeliner color is beautiful and sophisticated. It's not too purple nor too brown --it's the perfect combo in between. It's smooth and doesn't tug on my lids, and best of all, it was only $1.99!!! It lasts for about 5 hours as an eyeliner on my top lids, but as for lasting power on my waterline, it is next to none --It lasts for about an hour to the most.

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Studio Line Eye Primer Liner Sealer
rated 4 of 5
jellybabe23 11/15/2009 3:09:00 PM

When I first received the product, I immediately read the directions on how to use it. I've never used a liner sealer before. It says that you can transform any eyeshadow into an eyeliner -- the applicator is wet, so you can dip it in any mineral shadow and line your eyes. It actually works! I just don't like how you cannot remove the previous color from the applicator. So beware, if you use purple, stick to purple. The primer is in a stick form, so the formula is similar to that of a foundation stick. It kept my dramatic eyeshadow in place for 8 hours, and it works really well with my Coastal Scents eyeshadows. I like that this primer is more sticky than silky because I know that the dry eyeshadow will cling onto the stickiness.

Concealers -Victoria's Secret - Very Sexy Concealer
rated 5 of 5

After being ignored for about 15 minutes at my local MAC counter, I decided to buy a concealer some place else. I've never bought any VS makeup, but now they have sample stations, so I gave it a shot. The texture of this product is very creamy and opaque, not cakey and blends very nicely. I have it in M30, which matches my NC35-40 skin. I must say, it covered my dark undereye circles very well and did not settle into some of my lines. IF YOU HATE MAC COUNTER SERVICE, DEFINITELY GO TO YOUR VS STORE AND BUY THIS PRODUCT!! worth every penny!

Mascara -Rimmel - Glam'eyes lash flirt
rated 5 of 5
jellybabe23 9/16/2009 4:43:00 PM

I've probably tried over 20 mascaras in my lifetime, and I'm only 19! hahaha...I just rarely find good ones. After buying the horrible lash blast, which doesn't even thicken (it just separates), this product separates and thicken at the same time! The brush is very small, and looks almost rectangular, one side is shorter and the other side is longer. When I comb my lashes, I start off with the shorter side to thicken, then while combing, I twist it around and finish off with the longer side to separate my lashes. I use the shorter side on my lower lashes because it's so small, so it's perfect. I give this product an A+ for its functionality. I definitely recommend this!

Mascara -Urban Decay - Big Fatty Mascara
rated 1 of 5
jellybabe23 9/10/2009 9:51:00 PM

This is the worst mascara in the entire world, hands down! Thank goodness it came in the Trifecta set from Sephora, so at least 2 out of 3 products were enjoyable. Anyway, back to the review. Now, I thought the bigger the mascara, the bigger the lashes. This wand is pretty huge. And the formula is thick, smelly, and extremely drying. ANd I cannot emphasize enough the smell!! It's like dirty pairs of socks! Please do not purchase this item. The brush did not put any product on my lashes. I had to use 10 coats to at least have a decent amount of product on my lashes. And they ended up feeling felt dry and fake. Gross. This formula is a waste of money.

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Mineral Eyeshadow Primer
rated 4 of 5
jellybabe23 9/6/2009 3:23:00 PM

I've used UDPP and MAC primers, so when I saw this for a dollar, I needed to try it. Initially, it was a good product. A little runnier than UDPP, but it primed my eyes really well. After 2 months, the product started to smell a little funky; almost sour-like. Oh well, now on to try that other brand with the eyeshadow insurance in the baby blue tube.

Conditioner -Dove - Shine Therapy w Repairing Serum
rated 5 of 5
jellybabe23 9/6/2009 2:57:00 PM

I use heat styling tools almost everyday. So, when looking for a new conditioner, I stumbled upon this one because it was for heat damaged hair. This conditioner is probably one of the best I've ever used (I've used products ranging from Suave to Redken) and it is not too watery nor too thick. It feels extremely smooth after air drying!

Treatments -Beyond The Zone - Protein Cocktail
rated 5 of 5
jellybabe23 9/2/2009 2:57:00 AM

I just ran out of this product today..but luckily it's at Sally's, so I'm able to just drive down the street to get it. First off, my hair is damaged (i.e., from blow drying, hair straightening and coloring). After I had a trim to remove my split ends, I started using this product to protect it from the heating tools. For about a month now, I do not have split ends, nor is my hair crunchy after drying it. This product is a miracle! And it smells sooo good! For those out there who doesn't think it does anything, just wait! You'll see your hair in better condition after several uses! Now off to get my second bottle! Can't beat the $5.79 price

Eyeliner -New York Color - Waterproof - Dark Brown
rated 5 of 5
jellybabe23 9/2/2009 2:52:00 AM

Love. Love. Love this product. I first was curious about this product after reading about it in Seventeen magazine, so I bought it for about $3.99 at Target. On upper lids, the product goes on soo smoothly, for rimming the waterline and lining the lower lash line, the color payoff was pretty good. I use this in the mornings because black is just too harsh for me, and this gives a wonderful deep color to accent my eyes. For something this cheap, I may just stick to it! Never will I have to pay $20 for another lame department store brand ever again!

Liquid -Neutrogena - Skin Clearing Oil-Free Makeup
rated 4 of 5
jellybabe23 8/29/2009 3:39:00 AM

I'm naturally an NC35, so after running out of my usual MAC foundation, I went to the drugstore with my aunt at 11pm (we go just to look at makeup sales and whatnot :] ). I came across this foundation and tried a little on the back of my hand to see if the color was correct. And it matched perfectly! So now I wear this foundation in Honey Beige (equivalent to NC35) and it gives sheer to moderate coverage, however you can layer it on. I suggest not to, bc it can start to look cakey after a second application. It dries to a nice, silky matte finish and doesn't feel heavy. I use a stippling brush and sometimes my fingers if I'm in a hurry and it covers my redness really well.

Liquid -MAC - Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation
rated 5 of 5
jellybabe23 8/20/2009 4:36:00 AM

I asked for a sample of this just to give it a try (I normally use my MAC moistureblend foundation), and I must say, it's wonderful! It's a gel-based foundation, with a medium to full coverage. And it may be a little hard to blend with your fingers alone, so I use a stippling brush to blend it in. I'm an NC35 and it matches perfectly to my tanned olive complexion. It stayed on after being in a waterpark for 4 hours. So the staying power is really nice. The only thing I would take off a lippie for is that I need a powder to set it because it tends to get a little slick after a while. Overall, it's a great product because a little seriously goes a long way. I've had my little jar sample for 2 weeks now and I still have about a weeks worth left! So the price is definitely worth it in the long run. EDIT: 2/5/12 I am giving this foundation 5 stars because its perfect for dry/combination skin. I was using tretinoin for my acne and had extremely dry skin. This was the ONLY foundation that would cover my horrible scars and hydrate my skin at the same time..and I never got breakouts from it! I have both NC40 and 42 to mix and match during the entire year and it's lasted me a long time. It doesn't dry matte, so I get a natural, yet full coverage finish if applied with my fingers.
