Eye Shadow -MAC - Glitter Brilliant - Reflects Antique Gold

I am a fan of antique gold colors. This eyeshadow has very fine intense glitter and it is extremely pretty. I wouldnt wear this to office as it is too loud but for a nights out with friends... gosh that is more than perfect. The other colors I can recommend is Fyrinnae's new castle and Bobbi brown metallic cream shadow in antique gold as well. All perfect. LOL
Initially I started out using this serum once a day at night. Doesn't seem to have much effects until I changed it to twice a day. Keeping it on in the morning seems important. I dun use 5 pumps. I use only 1 pump each time I apply onto my skin. Skin looks rather radiant. Haven't been doing any of my mask recently and that is a good sign. LOL
Treatments -Paula's Choice - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Lotion Exfoliant

Paula's choice BHA is the best BHA I have every tried. Previously I was using Neutrogena Stress Control but that didnt control my Blackheads as well compared to Paula's. I find Paula's choice a little more pricey compared to Neutrogena but once I tried it I was convinced that this is worth the price. Why? Because you only need a very little amount due to its liquid texture compared to Neutrogena's gel texture. Secondly due to results. I still get blackheads but it is not something which makes me irritated or wanna squeeze them. Yeah I presume one bottle will last me at least 6-8 mths so I will continue to repurchase.
Makeup Brushes -Coastal Scents - Italian Badger Buffer Brush Large

I emailed coastal scents wanting to refund this brush. It is so scratchy and I am not super fussy to begin with. CS did not reply my email. Threw it into the bin after receiving it. wasting my time.
Treatments -Alpha Hydrox - AHA Souffle 12 percent Glycolic AHA

This products. I didnt use this on my face. I used it daily on my neck and chest area. I have some chicken skin on these areas and it bothered me since I didnt look 100% fantastic in clothing. haha. I used it everyday for 2 weeks and yesterday when i looked into the mirror, my skin glows. This product is extremely gentle. There is no irritation at all. But you need to judge for yourself. If your skin is oily most prob you could use this on your face daily.
I really liked this brush when I first received it. But after washing it once, the bristles frayed and it was no longer the firm but soft eyeliner. The bristles fray in all direction, the brush become very soft. It is still easy to draw a straight line. But winging the line becomes difficult. I am gonna return the brush.
What I like about this brush is that it is very pointy. I am very glad that I bought this instead of the sigma one. It just made my life easier although I have to admit that this is very expensive. I have rather small eyes and every precision is needed when I do my outer V. I guess I could still do an outer V with a more fluffy round crease brush. But I will not be able to easily cover the groove area or do my under eyelash area with the same brush. It is a lazy man's brush. Do everything together. I am deducting one lippie bcos this brush is still alittle scratchy for the price I am using. I need to be very gentle when using it in order to not poke myself. haha
It took me a long time to learn how to use Pixie Epoxy. Initially I absolutely hated it. I guess I was applying too much product and my eye shadow creases like crazy. The trick to using this is to apply a tiny amount and rub it on. I apply 3 tiny dots on my crease. It is best that you use a rounded crease brush like mac 219 to press your eye shadows on. Some colors like fire opal needs to be applied wet to reveal the potency of the colors. You simply have to test them out on your hand before applying it on the face. Some of my other eye shadows dun work with pixie epoxy or even my ud eye primer but it is ok. Given the inexpensive pricing of Fyrinnae, in the future I am sticking to this brand or mac. I have no budget for brands like Shu uemura whereby a single color cost USD$22 each. I could buy 10 Fyrinnae. LOL
Eye Shadow -Fyrinnae - Loose Eye Shadow in Rapunzel Had Extensions

I would have to agree with other users that this is a nice color provided if you are fair. I am NC15 Asian and this shows up on me. hmmm if you are NC20, this color is still flattering but if you are NC25 and above, beware. This is a pink with lots of peach and gold undertones in it. Most pinks look sickly on fair people and this one doesn't. I am happy to have this in my eyeshadow family.
I am never a dark purple fan for eye shadows. This sample was a free gift. I recently mixed this 50-50 with Titania and created a beautiful purple with pink sparkles and would like to share it with you gals out there. Try it. It's beautiful :)
Makeup Brushes -Silk Naturals - Ultimate Synthetic Kabuki Brush
hellokittybrock 1/11/2011 6:27:00 AM
The Silk Naturals Ultimate range is not too bad. I cant comment on their brushes which has natural hair cos I dun own any of them. I have 3 Kabuki in total. One from EDM, one from Lumiere Cosmetics and another from SN. The SN wins. It is very soft, the bristles do not fall off easily and there is a kind of stiftness in the brush which is rather impt to me. A brush cannot be too soft when I swirl the powder. Yeah I have been using this brush for like 1-2 years and it is still in good condition.
I saw the bad reviews about this lip butter. I have used it and thought it was great. OK some facts about this product. Very very moisturising. I have extremely dry lips. Extreme is the word. If it wasn't because I slap on lip balm 5-6 times a day, I would be suffering from chapped lips all day long. Texture: More towards the creamy type. I wouldn't consider this as light weight (not like kiehl's lipbalm. Those are light). Def not waxy and sticky to me. Colour pay off is very nice. Looks like a lipgloss u can wear to work. Very glossy looking as well. Price? 10 bucks at drugstore.com . Gals, this is an imported product so it's gonna be more pricey. Packaging: Not the best. Comes in a jar which most hate. I use lip brushes. The worse of this product is the plastic smell which I dun like but it goes off within 30 sec. I like this product.
Cashmere suits people whom have normal to dry skin and like creamy foundation. I really like this foundation and although I have switched to other brands, I am thinking of buying this again. I have really oily skin and find oil control a little lacking at the nose area. But the texture is really good.
Creasing: Not at all. Almost all eyeshadows crease on my oily lids. Yes almost all. But this one is pretty powerful. Color payoff: Sheer and natural. Not as pigmented as Mac. I could easily use this on my lashline and it looks very natural. If you are looking for something very pigmented, look elsewhere. Price: Very expensive in my opinion. Deduct 1 lippie for this. Someone reviewed saying they could actually use a cream eyeshadow and put mac antique gold glitter on top of this to create the same effect? Nope I dun agree. Mac glitters are much more potent. They have the wow effect. The glitters from BB are more subtle. This is a gorgeous antique brown colour and it's becoming one of my fav. Money well spent.
This is a light body lotion. Good for people whom do not like the feeling of sticky lotions on their skin. But i dun find it moisturising enough for my liking. Also find the smell alittle strong but thats not impt to me. Yeah most prob not gonna repurchase.
