The large glitters were a real disappointment. I would not buy this product again.
This concealer provides full coverage. You need only a dab of it. (I use the back of my makeup brush to dab a bit of it from the tube. That's ALL I need.) This tube will last me a very long time. It's worth the money. I love that it's so blendable. It makes it so easy to put on in the morning and go.
I can still recall when Biore's nose strips first came onto the market, many years ago. They used to be affordable. But now, it's a bit overpriced. I guess it's because they don't have much competition. They are the only nose strip brand available in drugstores. By chance, I've come across some other brand of nose strips, produced from Korea. They work just as well and are much cheaper than Biore. For the price Biore is charging, I simply refuse to purchase their brand.
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion

I tried both the lotion and the gel form of Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizers. I found that the lotion was too thick (caused breakouts) and the gel was not moisturizing enough. I've heard a lot of good reviews from friends but it just didn't work for me. I, personally would not buy this again.
Cleansers -Garnier - Nutritioniste Nutri-Pure Daily Exfoliating Gel Cleanser

This facial cleanser is great. It leaves your face feeling clean, fresh and smooooooth! I've noticed that my pores appear smaller and blemishes are almost non-existing. You definately need to give this product a try. I also recommend using the Garnier Nutritioniste Serum and/or Daily Moisturizer (comes with SPF 15). Garnier's moisturizers feel light on the skin and won't clog pores.
Eye Shadow -Bonne Bell - Eye Style Shadow Box in Girlie Pinks

Bonne Bell was one of the first make-up line when I entered the world of cosmetics. I still carry some of their makeuup because it's inexpensive and works. I like the pink and brown sets. It's great for highlighting the brow and cheek bone. It's blendable and soft. Love it.
NYX has really nice eyeshadows. The one in CORK is one of my fav. It's a simmery brown that makes your eyes pop. It's sexy but not over the top. I often wear it to work because it's neutral enough. It has pretty good lasting power, too. For a more dramatic look, build it with some black at the outer corners of the eyes. So easy to work with!
The consistency for this mascara is very fluid. It appears to lengthen lashes by a little, but not enough to really make an impact. I wouldn't buy this mascara again.
The handle fell off soon after I had purchased it. The brush is still usable and works fairly well. It's actually easier to control without the long handle. The hairs are soft and none have fallen out even after several washes. It's a good quality inexpensive brush.
Olay Complete is a great product to take with you when travelling. I use it on my face but also on my neck and arms during the summer for sun protection. This light formula is extremely effective in keeping me from burning. You may need to re-apply (as you would with sunscreen) if you are sweating a lot. The plus side is, everytime you apply, you're moisturising as well. BONUS! Olay Complete is very good for evening out skin tone. It moisturizes well without feeling heavy. It leaves your skin feeling super soft, but its biggest disadvantage over other creams is that it does not firm/tighten your skin.
L'oreal's Voluminous Mascara is a staple in my makeup collection. It gives great coverage with just a couple of coats. It brings out the fullness of each lash, without any stiffness or clumps. The mascara comes in a variety of colors. Carbon Black is very dramatic (one of my favs). If you are like me, and prefer the curved brush, you can simply rinse out one of your old L'oreal Voluminous Black mascara wands and use it for your Carbon Black. The fit is the same. There are frequent L'oreal promotions every few months at the drugstores. If you are lucky, you can purchase one of these for as low as $5.99 CAD. Regular price is about $11 CAD, which is still not bad at all, for the quality you get.
Cargo has the best blushes by far! I've tried several of different shades over the years and love them all. The blushes are highly pigmented. You only need one or two gentle sweeps. Cargo's "Rome" is great for the summer time. It gives you a healthy, sun-kised glow. The look is natural and youthful. The application is smooth, blendable and fool-proof. You get a beautiful glow everytime. For $28, it's money well spent. Cargo blushes will last you a long time.
Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Powder- Sand Storm
h20liliz 3/29/2009 2:07:00 AM
I purchased the Stay Matte Pressed Powder on sale for $4.99 at PharmaPlus. I don't often use powder but I figured that the warmer season is coming and that I could use a bit of oil control on the face. I love the pressed powder. It goes on pretty sheer but with enough coverage that evens out the tone, giving you a flawless-look. There has been a noticable difference in the finish of my skin. My face stays fresh and shine-free all day! The only down-side to this product is it's packaging. The cap comes off completely. It would probably be more convenient if it was a flip cap instead. (It really helps to save time during those morning rushes, you know what I mean?) All and all, I would buy this product again. Give it a try, you might be pleasantly surprised at how well this inexpensive product works. EDIT: I have since stopped using it. It appears that it can cause breakouts.
