Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
foxykitty25 7/21/2007 4:56:00 AM
this is a good basic moisturizer. my skin is naturally oily but feels a bit dry for a while after washing since i started using BHA. i apply this moisturizer and the dryness is gone without making my oily skin look oilier. it feels light and it just disappears into the skin. wish it was a bit cheaper though.
Styling Products -Redken - Smooth Down Heat Glide ] [DISCONTINUED]
foxykitty25 7/17/2007 11:42:00 AM
i think this is probably the best hair serum i have ever used and i can say i have tried several and been happy with some but this just totally blows them away. my hair is long and thick so i use about 3 pumps of this into my towel dried hair. the pump dispenser gives just the right amount. usually with other products my hair feels coarse while its air drying but it feels like silk when i use smooth down heat glide. i used to rarely straighten my hair. maybe about twice a month but i have been doing it now for 1-2x a week and the heat protection this product offers makes it perfect . i use this and straighten my hair with a ceramic iron and i look like i just stepped out of the salon.
while i was working this shampoo into my hair i can already tell that its going to make it soft and that i'm going to really like this product. a little of this shampoo goes a long way coz it lathers pretty nicely. when i rinsed it my hair felt really soft i thought i dont need a conditioner. this together with redken smooth down heat glide gives me a soft, shiny, fantastic looking hair.
Treatments -Paula's Choice - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Lotion Exfoliant
foxykitty25 7/11/2007 3:06:00 AM
this is an excellent skincare product. made my face smooth, even toned and pores were alot smaller. my skin was just glowing. however a moisturizer is a must coz this product can be quite drying. edit 7/27*** i think this has now become my "can't live without" product. i did not use this for a week and i can see how my skin become somewhat dull. not as clear, clean and glowy when i use this product. edit 9/22*** stopped using this. yes it made a big difference on my skin but its too drying. i can no longer stand the dryness and flakiness on my skin. i switched to olay age defying daily renewal cream which also contains BHA. same results but without the dryness.
Lip Treatments -Avon - Flavor Savers Lip Balm - Strawberry
foxykitty25 7/10/2007 12:48:00 PM
yes this is a nice lip balm. its cheap, moisturizing and gives me just a hint of color that compliments my skintone. the only down side is that it doenst last very long. other than that its a great lip balm.
wow i like this one. made my hair soft and moisturized. would have given 5 lippies if it smelled better. but other than that i think this shampoo is awesome for a cheap drugstore brand.
Skincare - Face -Avon - Anew Clinical Micro-Exfoliant
foxykitty25 6/29/2007 4:18:00 PM
oh yes im buying this again and again. this is so awesome i just love it! i use this once every 3 days and my skin is great. even tone, pores are alot less visible, glowy and healthy. this is very gentle you can hardly feel the gritty stuff in it but its very effective. this together with paulas choice 2% BHA made my skin look so good. but i dont use them on the same day coz were not supposed to use other exfoliating product when using this scrub, at least not on the same day.
this is a review for Veet warm wax kit which worked very well for me. i used it on my legs where i dont really have much of a hair and they are fine and sparse so i think thats probably why these were good enough. i worked on small area of my leg like about 2 inch square. i warm the wax on the microwave and spread it on my leg using the wooden spatula it came with, put the cloth on top and press it down (with motion towards the hair growth) and give it a quick rip. i had no irritation, reb bumps whatsoever. overall it worked the way i expect it to.
i did not really expect much from this product because of the mixed reviews here. first of all this eye treatment is moisturizing and does not cause milia. i dont have any major dark under eye or eyebags. however, if i go to sleep very late then my under eyes gets noticeably darker but when i used this product i was actually surprised to noticed that my under eyes where not as dark as i expect them them to be. it could just be my eyes playing tricks on me, but whatever. i will continue using.
i have never dared to wear foundation under broad daylight coz i always feel that it makes me look "made up" so now im trying my luck on tinted moisturizer. so far im liking this one. i dont look like im wearing something on my face. it just looks even and "glowy". its sheer enough that its not noticeable but not too sheer that it has zero coverage and simply disappears . so if you have a fairly good skin and just want to make it look even better then you might want to try this. but if you have some major covering up to do then this wont be good enough.
this conditioner did a good job on moisturizing my hair. my usually frizzy hair was smoother and softer BUT i have achieved that kind of results from cheaper products i've used before and this one is rather expensive. so because of that im not sure if i will be buying again. oh and this smelled like a mint candy by the way.
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Mango Body Butter
foxykitty25 4/21/2007 12:35:00 PM
i still think the papaya has the best smell of all TBS body butter. however it was not moisturizing enough for me as it is only for normal skin. mango body butter is for very dry skin and is very moisturizing. makes my skin really soft and i have finally stop scratching my legs. it has just the right amount of greasiness which disappears after awhile. it smells delicious on the container, but once on the skin it just smells different. not bad but not as good as if you smell it right out from the tub.
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Body Butter - Brazil Nut
foxykitty25 4/11/2007 1:50:00 PM
its moisturizing yes! but i just can't get myself to appreciate the smell. its not a bad smell but its also not something i would call a nice smell.
ok this product stinks. im not usually sensitive to product smell but this one takes the cake. it smells like a cleaning chemical, just worst. but in fairness, this made my thick, wavy, somewhat frizzy hair exceptionally smoother and frizz free. i found this in a bargain bin for €7.50 but i dont think i will be buying again.
Styling Products -TiGi - Catwalk - Fashionista Spritz & Shine
foxykitty25 4/8/2007 11:24:00 AM
this product is not good but it's not bad either. i dont spray this directly to my hair coz the spray doest not give out a fine mist so instead i spray it on my hand and rub it together and work it through my hair. it makes my hair softer and it smells really nice but thats about it. i dont notice any shine whatsoever. for the price i dont think i will be buying again coz i like trying other products.
