I don't know what is up with Secret Clinical Strength. I have tried 3 versions. The original one is okay, the hypoallergenic one sucks, and the waterproof one works well. I will keep buying the waterproof version because it really does keep sweat/odor at bay but I hate that it is so expensive.
This has replaced Maybelline Sky High Curves (waterproof) as my favorite mascara. It's cheap, holds curl, doesn't smudge, lengthens, and adds tons of volume (which is my biggest issue). I use Neutrogena eye makeup remover and don't have any problems taking it off. My sister used mine and really liked it too.
Ok so this is probably my favorite eyeshadow palette. The colors are gorgeous and really compliment my grey-blue eyes. Good staying power, doesn't smudge, works well wet or dry. And the best part... 8 eyeshadows for $5.
I am officially a NYX fan. I needed a new neutral eyeshadow trio and found this at Ulta so I bought it, along with a lip gloss. It is my favorite eyeshadow ever. Cheap, long-lasting, nice shades... what's not to love? I use Mink Brown on my lid, Deep Bronze just above my crease, and Aloha as a highlight. I use Aloha with other eyeshadows too, and on my cheekbones. Will repurchase, and I will probably buy the Aloha single as well.
This saved my dry flaky face. Moving back to the desert from a humid climate ruined my skin. My usual night moisturizer wasn't cutting it so I bought this because I use other Olay products and really like them. From the moment I first used this I was in awe of how silky my skin felt. It has been 3 days and my face is not dry at all anymore. Like other Olay products, this doesn't break me out. The only reason I don't give this a 5 is because I use it around my eyes and it feels a little sticky for a while before it soaks in completely. But when I wake up, the stickiness is gone. I will definitely buy this again.
Best gloss I have used. It is moisturizing enough on my dry lips. Looks great alone or over a stain. Cheap (like $4). Will buy again.
I have no idea why everyone hates this. No, it does not dry in seconds. But it dries much faster than other top coats I have used (Sally Hansen, NYC, etc.). I use OPI nail polishes almost exclusively because they last longer and then this on top and my manicures last forever.
Love this bright coral orange color! It's perfect for summer. Two thin coats makes nails looks perfect. And thank goodness there is no stupid OPI pro-wide brush! The brush is small which is good for my small fingers/nails. I'm planning to by more Sephora by OPI polishes.
B&BW was having a huge sale and I got this for $4. I really like it. It smells fresh and summery. Would I wear this on a date? No. But it's fine for everyday, especially in the summer. Staying power is absolutely terrible but since it's a body splash that is to be expected. Will buy again if it isn't discontinued.
Lipstick -Cover Girl - Outlast Lipstain #415 Teasing Blush

I like this a lot. I used to use Benefit Benetint as a lipstain all the time but the application was awkward. Lipstain in a marker form is genius! It's sooo much easier to apply (and cheaper!) than other lipstains I've tried. The color is true to the packaging and it looks great. It lasts for a few hours before I have to reapply. I just wished it lasted all day. And also, Cover Girl needs to come up with shade names that are not cringe-inducing. NOTE: Use a moisturizing lip balm after this to make your lips shiny and moisturized. I use Rosebud Salve.
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I'm hooked. I was terrified to put this on my acne-prone face but I haven't broken out yet. It makes the best face scrub, hands down. Mix regular white sugar and a little EVOO and gently rub it in upwards circles all over your face. I couldn't believe how smooth and glowing my face looked after. Also, this is my HG eye makeup remover. I have a problem with my eyelids getting red and flaky from normal makeup removers so I tried this. It works way better and I haven't lost an eyelash during makeup removal in months. In fact, my lashes have gotten longer since I started using this. I gently rub it in, let it sit for about 30 seconds, then tissue off.
I would die without this. Lately my lips have been super dry and this is the only thing that will save me. It also heals cold sores.
Self Tanners -Neutrogena - MicroMist Tanning (Medium 2 shades darker)
departureofskies 5/18/2009 1:31:00 AM
I like this. I bought it after a friend recommended it and even though I am extremely white I bought the medium shade. I don't think Neutrogena even makes a light shade in this. It goes on well without streaking (no rubbing required) unless you obviously mess up and then just blend it in with your hand. The color is pretty natural. The smell is typical self tanner smell... yuck. The good news is this dries fast so I just use it at night then shower in the morning. 2 coats gives me a good shade. Lasts decently long. Will probably repurchase except I want to try the new Jergens mousse kind.
Misc Beauty Tools -Tweezerman - Blackhead/Blemish Extractor

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets a sense of extreme satisfaction from using this. It's the best feeling when I see the disgusting debris come out of a clogged pore. As other blackhead removal fanatics have mentioned, take a hot shower or bath to steam open your pores first. I also recommend disinfecting this in between uses. One word of caution: this tool is addicting.
Eye Shadow -Revlon - Illuminance Creme Shadow Quad - Not Just Nudes
departureofskies 5/9/2009 11:27:00 PM
These are great! The colors are very pretty. They are shimmery nudes that are great for everyday, but you can also do a pretty brown smokey eye using the darker colors. I use Urban Decay Primer Potion first so I don't have a problem with creasing. My only complaint is the stupid container. I've had several different shades of these Revlon shadows and I always end up breaking the hinge.
