Moisturizers -Garnier - Pure Shine Control Moisturizer
curlylaura 4/22/2007 10:00:00 AM
I hadn't noticed how tight this cream made my face until I used Garnier Fresh moisturiser again. It also made my skin dry feeling to the touch. I like how it controlled the shininess I get as the day goes on but it didn't really do much for my blemishes. Maybe it's better for those with teenage acne instead of hormonal or adult acne. I don't think I'd buy it again.
This made me break out on my cheeks and the marks still haven't faded. Will not be buying it again.
Moisturizers -Garnier - Stop Anti-Ageing DAily Moisturizing Treatment

I bought this based on the claims it brightens your skin. What a lie. It did nothing to brighten my skin and even though it is a day cream it is far to heavy to use during the day. It left me with shiny, greasy looking skin. I have tried using it at night with more success but I have recently noticed I'm starting to break out along my jaw and down the sides of my face. I do like the scent this cream has but I doubt I'll buy it again.
Lotions/ Creams -Neutrogena - Norwegian Formula Hand Cream

Hands down the best hand cream I have used. It feels a bit thick and gunky going on but soaks in quickly. It also has minimal ingredients, its cheap and it lasts a long time.
I wasn't too impressed with this mask. It smells OK, it's kind of fun to peel it off! but it doesn't seem to do anything.
Treatments (Eye) -The Body Shop - Chamomile Moisturising Eye Supplement

I was quite surprised with this serum. I like the way it makes the skin around my eyes feel smooth. The dark circles seem less pronounced and best of all it doesn't make my eyes water or give me milia. I will give it a bit longer and it could be more moisturising. I love the hygenic pump bottle it comes in too. It cost more than I'm used to spending on eye treatments but it's not the most expensive either. I'll possibly buy it again.
Treatments -Umberto Giannini - Umberto Giannini Urgent Repair Mask

I bought this because my highlights had started to dry out my already dry, curly hair. It is fantastic. It smells a little funky but could be worse. It leaves my hair soft, lighter in colour (although I think my usual conditioner was making it dull) and with bouncy, soft curls. Definately buy again.
I use Vaseline off and on depending on what I need. I've used it as an eye makeup remover. I've used it on my eyelashes to encourage softness. When I was on Accutane I used a thin layer on my face to help keep moisture in because nothing else worked. When I have a cold and my nose is about to fall off from constant tissue use, it's great to soothe the skin and line the inside of the nose (though that can make it feel like I need to blow my nose again!). I don't use it on my lips unless I have nothing else to hand because when I did my lips eventually started to dry out from the repeated use. It took a while for them to get back to their pre-Vaseline selves. All in all, I think this is a great product. I'm not sure if I would buy it again because a tub lasts an awfully long time!
I'm quite surprised by this. I bought it on a whim for the staggering sum of £2 and thought I'd give it a go. It feels great on my skin and thankfully doesn't have a strong smell so I can use it at night without getting a headache. My skin feels soft and comfortable. I will consider buying this again.
I have a feeling these were giving me breakouts. They also left me with really wet skin after I'd used them so I'd have to wipe my face with a towel. I may as well have washed my face normally. The packaging wasn't that good because the little sticky lid didn't stick down after a while so the wipes dried out around the edges. I won't be using this product again.

Yet another product to give me a rash. It started out so well, pleasant smell, absorbed fast, great pump design but when I got about halfway through the bottle I found little red bumps all over my back, sides and arms. I'm glad I didn't buy another when I saw it on offer before the rash appeared. I'm now looking for something else.
Shampoo -Garnier - Fructis - (Colored hair formula)

This shampoo makes my highlighted hair soft and silky. The smell can be a bit much but I got used to it after a few shampoos. It's great for the price (under £2 a bottle) and fully recommend it.
Conditioner -Garnier - For Color-treated or permed hair

I recently started using this again and forgot just how soft it made my hair. I love it. As well as keeping my hair soft it maintains my highlights. The only downside is the smell, it took a while for me to get used to it again because at first it can be quite overpowering but I'd still recommend this conditioner. EDIT: I've noticed that using this conditioner can leave my hair dull and darker than it's natural colour, so I'm taking 2 lippies off and I don't think I'll buy it again.

It doesn't clog my pores and makes my skin feel soft and smooth.
Styling Products -Umberto Giannini - Curl Friends Scrunching Jelly
curlylaura 12/15/2006 10:02:00 AM
This is the best gel I've tried on my 3b hair. It can get a bit crunchy but if i gently pull the ends of my hair the crunch goes and I'm left with great curls. I use this mainly with Boots Curling Cream underneath with great results. I recent;y strayed from the Scrunching Jelly, trying to find something elsse that worked better but to no avail. So I'm back to it now. It's also regularly on offer in Boots.
