Mascara -Rimmel - Volume Flash Mousse Mascara -- Extreme Black

Yuck. This mascara is not good! The pro is, it has a nice deep black color, and it holds a curl, somewhat. The cons are, it makes your lashes le crunchy and le clumpy. I have a two dollar Wet'n Wild mascara that clumps less than this one. When you take the wand out, it even looks forbidding, all huge and dripping with mascara product. I've liked all the other Rimmel mascaras I've tried (Lycra Lash and Eye Magnifier) so I'm not put off by one baddie but if you're looking for a volumizing mascara get L'Oreal Voluminous and not this.
Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

I've used this foundation for a few days now and I like it so far. I have coolish-neutralish skin so I didn't want to get a MAC foundation that would be too pink or too yellow. The N1 in True Match is the perfect color for me. I dust my face with Coastal Scents silica powder before applying it and it blends beautifully. I have basically good skin, just uneven tone, and TM covers it very well, and doesn't cause me any pimples. I just have to touch up with powder throughout the day which is kind of annoying. I also wish this had a pump on it, I even emailed L'Oreal to please consider making a pump! I think next I want to try Colorstay, but overall this foundation is good and I like it. EDIT: The more I wear this the less I like it. It really has no staying power whatsoever and kind of sits on top of my skin. I wouldn't repurchase.
I got this cleanser in a swap and I am so glad I got the chance to try it! It foams wonderfully, takes all my face makeup off, and rinses away easily, without drying my skin out. If it came in a pump bottle, and smelled a little better, I would never use anything else again, at least in winter when my skin is drier. FYI I use eye makeup remover for my eye makeup so I can't say how well it does with waterproof mascaras. Since I got this in a swap from a girl in Singapore, I'm not sure if I'll be able to find another bottle but I said I would repurchase it.
Moisturizers -Avon - Avon Solutions Hydra Radiance Moisturizing Day Lotion SPF15

I've been using this moisturizer daily for about eight months and I've used up a little over half the bottle so it's time for a review. I like this moisturizer, it has a nice light texture and feels good on the skin. It does make my face shiny after applying it but I let it set and then do my foundation and other makeup so it's not noticeable after that. The packaging is superb, one to two pumps of product is enough for my face and neck and it's awesome that you can turn the pump to close it, making it perfect for travel. The only downside is now I live overseas and it is going to be a pain for me to get Avon. I don't really care for much makeup from Avon but I've had really good luck with their skincare stuff. EDIT: I changed my overall rating from a 4 to a 5. Avon will ship to my FPO box so I will definitely continue to buy this. DDML gave me zits when I used it, and they went away when I started back on this one. For me, it is perfect.
Possibly the best palette ever made! Definitely the best MAC palette I've ever bought. I had to cough up $50 to get it on Ebay but still it's less than $10 per shadow. I would totally buy it again. All the colors are flattering, and you can do SO many looks with this one. Usually there's at least one unusable color in a palette but not this one, at least for me. I love it!
Nylon is my all time favorite highlighting color. It does not look yellow on my skin at all, just shimmery and awesome. I use it almost every day, as a highlighter. It is a frost with more of a "hard" texture, as opposed to Phloof which is much softer.
This concealer is so great!! I love it. I got it in a sample size and a little goes such a long way that it is going to last a long time. All I need for each side of my face is two taps of the container on a small plate, then I swirl my Coastal Scents buffer brush in it and apply. I don't really get blemishes too often, so I use this to tone down my incredibly ruddy cheeks, like another poster, I am really pale and pink. Anyway I just dust the brush over my cheeks and buff buff buff. If I didn't use too much, or turn into Elphaba, then the redness is instantly much less noticeable. I've found that I need to wear less foundation because this concealer makes such a big difference in my skin tone. If your skin tone is just redder or pinker than you would like, but basically even texture-wise, definitely try this.
Palettes -MAC - Royal Assets 6 Cool Eyes Holiday 2007

I am just not crazy about this palette. I got it last year and at my MAC counter it was the only one the had left, I really wanted the Warm Eyes or the Metallic Eyes but they were sold out. I'm just not a fan of hot pink and electric purple, but I wanted to get a palette for my collection so I got it anyway. In a year I've probably used it five times. I'm keeping it because once in a while I like to use it but I wouldn't buy it again.
Let me start my review by saying I'm comparing this to UDPP, the Cadillac of all eyeshadow primers. To me nothing can really compare, but I like trying different things, and I wanted something a little stickier to use when I'm using loose shadows and pigments. This primer is very good for that, and it is easier to blend with this than with UDPP. The bad part of this primer is... the formula. My jar separated during shipping, so that it was a blob of white gel surrounded by clear fluid. I had to email Coastal Scents and ask them what the hell I was supposed to do with it. They said to mix it up, so I did. And I still have to every so often. Another con with Eye Poxy is the jar leaks that clear fluid I was talking about, so it is not convenient to have in a travel bag for any amount of time. The good thing is, my shadows haven't creased at all the few days I've been using this. But it is winter and dry here, so the true test will come this summer. Overall it is a less expensive alternative to UDPP and I might buy it again.
I'm going to add my voice as a lover of All Over Shimmer. This is such a great highlighter! Everyone else has described the color better than I could. I like to use just a sweep of this on my cheekbones over my non-shimmery blushes. It only takes a tiny bit and it looks great every time. I could totally see MAC making this exact same product and charging $30 for it, and it would STILL be a HG face highlighter. The only bad thing about this is it is so hard to find. Like another poster, the only place I could find this was Kmart. Now I live overseas and I'm afraid to use mine much for fear it will run out and I'll be out of it forever.
I'm so glad I bought this shadow. When it came in the mail I looked at it in the jar, and had my doubts. It looks really fugly in the jar, no offense Fyrinnae. But on my face it is soo gorge. It has a sheen that is pretty much invisible unless you actually put it on, and it ends up being a really pretty goldy-silvery-taupe. NOT glittery and not overly frosty, just a sheen so it brightens up your eyes. If I ever use up my sample, I'll get a full size.
I think I've found my HG mascara... and this is not it. FNS used to be my favorite back in high school, and since then I've tried a lot of other mascaras. I picked up a tube of this for old times sake and it really does nothing for me. The pros are it's a nice true black, it's not flaky or drying, it's easy to remove, and it doesn't smudge or clump. The con is, it takes a lot of work to make my lashes pop. Compared to Voluminous, this one is weak. I'll use my tube for three months but I'm not buying it any more. Sorry Full'n Soft!
Blush -L'Oreal - True Match Superblendable Blush in Tender Rose

I love love love this blush. I wear a N1 in the true match foundation but I think I favor cooler tones so I got the cool blush. It is so gorgeous. Just a tiny amount of shimmer, so if you feel like going minimal, leave it alone, and if you want a highlight, you can add one and it won't look weird. If you are worried about this being too dark, don't. Like I said I wear the lightest foundation and this blush is a C3-4 and used with a light hand, it looks beautiful, not garish. It has a nice sturdy package with a lot of product, and it says a lot that I didn't immediately throw away the included brush.
Yikes. The texture of this shadow is AWFUL. Goes on chalky and uneven, and none of the sparkle shows up on me. It's a pretty color, and I love all my other EM shadows but this one was really a miss for me.
Lip Treatments -Soap and Glory - Sexy Motherpucker Lip Gloss

These glosses really do plump your lips! If you put it on when your lips are very dry, it will burn, at least it does me. But it works so I don't care. It is also super sticky which means it lasts a long time. My only "complaint" about this gloss is that all the colors look the same once on, at least to me. I have What-a-melon and some sparkly one and they both look the same. But definitely try one of these if you find it.
