I'm on the fence with this wash, but I'm going to keep using it unless I find something better. I noticed on my upper arms I was getting the little bumpies again I used to have as a teenager. Not pimples, but very similar to little mini zits. I remembered I used this stuff back then and it worked wonderfully so I thought I would give it a shot again. It does work, but not as efficiently as I thought it would. Maybe I just need to give it some more time. I like the formula, as a scrub it has an amazing lather and makes my skin soooo soft. It also has a very faint super clean scent that I just love. The scrub is super thick though so it does take a little more water than usual to get a lather going, and a pump bottle may be a lil' easier to get the product out than a squeeze bottle. But all in all, this stuff is pretty good.
Tinted Moisturizer -Marcelle - Sheer Tint Fluid Moisturizer SPF 15

I love my CoverFX foundation but I was on the hunt for a tinted moisturizer to wear during the week at work. I love my beauty sleep and honestly it just takes far too long to apply regular foundation for me as I am a bit of a perfectionist. This tinted moisturizer is perfect!!! I have oily skin and can breakout when I'm not careful what products I use on my skin. I have never had an issue with Marcelle products, and it didn't start here either. It kept my skin clear!! It goes on very lightly, easy to blend with just enough coverage and SPF. There is a light hint of shimmer which makes skin glow and appear luminous. The price is perfect too, at around $11.00 CDN at SDM. I love this stuff!! One of my new HG products!!
I bought this eyeliner as I was out of town and just needed something as I cannot live without eyeliner. I wasn't expecting much from this, but I was so pleasantly surprised!!! The formula is richly pigmented, smooth and creamy. Easy to apply and lasts all day (with Urban Decay Eyeshadow Potion). I have this is Black, and I plan on going back to Sephora next week to get some more colours. Price is great too!!! I highly recommend.
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish
ash_theoriginal 3/29/2010 6:12:00 PM
I bought this only because a particular colour caught my eye. I have been looking for a slightly less intense version of China Glaze Japanese Koi and this was pretty close. I love the idea of this polish, but it's not a complete polish. This may work with a base and top coat, but I'm reviewing it as the polish says it's an all in one colour. On day one the colour chipped like crazy. The formula is streaky and I HATE the brush!! Horrible. I find it's also overpriced for what your getting. I will definetly not repurchase and will probably end up giving this colour away to a friend.
My hunt for the perfect neutral is now over, I loveeee Gray Suede. I'm usually not a fan of Revlon polishes but I just couldn't resist this colour!! The colour is a creamy taupey colour with undertones of lilac and gray and looks soooo beautiful. Very flattering and is the perfect nude for Spring. The formula isn't the greatest in longevity, but it's smooth application, no air bubbles, great brush and 2 coats is very similar to the bottle.
Gels/Soaps -Korres - Kings & Queens Shower Gel - Chinese Princess Jasmine
ash_theoriginal 3/10/2010 10:35:00 PM
I received a set of 8 Kings & Queens Shower Gels for a Christmas Present, and this was one of the scents. Now it's not horrible, but I'm not a huge fan of anything floral to begin with. It smells true to Jasmine and smells refreshing and clean and a bit romantic. Definetly a great wash though. Lathers beautifully like all of them, and it's unbelieveable how true to scent all thier washes are. I wouldn't buy the Jasmine, but I would definetly purchase any of the other scents again.
Gels/Soaps -Korres - Kings and Queens Nefertiti Honey

During the holidays I got a sample kit with 6 different scents from the For Kings and Queens collection. This is the only one I have used so far, but I am soooooo impressed. The scent is to DIE for. It smells like pure honey right from the breakfest table. The formula is super creamy and lathers well. The steam intensifies the scent even more and lingers on the skin, but not as long as I would like. I love how the formula is mineral oil free and how all the scents are based around legendary historic Kings and Queens... very neat. Can't wait to try the 5 other scents!!!
I really wish I checked the reviews before picking this up, but I was desperate and needed something. This product is horrible!!!! The colour is washed out and way too light. The formula is super watery and the pen is too thick. I used this one then threw it in the trash...... such a waste of money!!!
Lotions/ Creams -Vaseline - Sheer Infusion Body Lotion

So far I am really impressed with this lotion. I have tried Vaseline so much over the years that I almost gave up on the brand entirely. I saw a commercial for this stuff, and it totally sold me on it. I've been using it for about 4 days now and have seen a big difference in my skin already. On my ankles and feet I get really bad Eczema and this hasn't irritated it at all, if anything it's made it better. I have a prescription cream I use, and the Vaseline keeps the rest of my skin super soft and smell is amazing!!! It smells clean, fresh and simple. I highly recommend this stuff especially to people with sensitive skin, it's made a huge difference to me already!!
Lotions/ Creams -Vaseline - Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning lotion

I really wanted to love this stuff. The price point is perfect, and you get a ton of product in that big bottle. However the formula left me feeling sticky and wasn't near moisturizing as other brands I've tried. I find the consistency watery, and the smell is like nuts coated in chemicals, it's weird..... just slightly off. I ended up giving this stuff to my Mom, just couldn't get it to work for me.
I was so excited to find this at my local Sally's couple months back. My friend works there and sold me some bottles before it even hit the shelves. I am so impressed, and I find myself using this all the time. The formula is great!! It;s the perfect consistency, easy to apply and dries in decent time. I generally use Seche Vite as my top coat, but I love the look of dark matte nails, and I'm finding it looks gorgeous on metallic/glitter colours too, makes them really shine from behind (if that makes any sense????) I looooove this top coat. Its great if you have limited colours, as your nails polish tone can change slightly between matte and shiny. I will forever love this stuff (as long as they dont discontinue it)
This polish is my new love!!! Gorgeous colour!! It's from the Ski Winter collection and I picked it up at my local Sally's. I typically don't like chromes or metallics but this one is so interesting. It's a greyed out silvery lilac and is just so beautiful. My coworker who hates nail polish even loved it and went out and grabbed a bottle. Smooth application and great colour pay off. An amazing colour and a new staple in my ever growing China Glaze collection.
Treatments -Burt's Bees - Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
ash_theoriginal 8/30/2009 8:25:00 PM
I am trying so hard to like this product because of the reviews on here. So many are saying how fabulous this product is, but I'm just not getting those results. I have ragged, roughed up cuticles and I have tried everything!!! I find that it really does moisturize but it hasn't really helped other than making them soft for a little bit, no lasting results and within days my cuticles are back to being roughed up. The scent is great though, and the tin is super cute. I have trouble with the texture of this. I wouldn't consider this a butter, it feels like a gritty sorbet texture if that makes any sense at all??? It's super greasy and melts into everything!! It's not practical for day use as it is so greasy, but good for night use I guess. I will continue to use until the tin is empty as it was expensive, but I think I am on the hunt again for something that will work for my poor cuticles.
So far I am liking this product. The scent is very soft and clean but really nice. The cream is thin and soaks into the skin fairly quickly with no greasy feeling afterwards and leaves the hands super soft. I bought this because it was on clearance and I ran out of my usual hand cream. I am only 24 but I recently quit smoking and noticed my hands weren't quite as nice as they should be. Within a couple days of use my hands were softer and seemed to be more balance in skin tone, so not as blotchy. I dont have lines though so not sure how well it works on that. Overall though it's a nice hand cream.
This is such a fun, bright colour and I love wearing it. I am a huge purple fan so when I found this I was pretty excited to add it to my collection. Upon application though I found it to be more of that pink/purple, which is nice, but was kind of deceptive of what you see in the bottle. Great smooth application and long wear like usual with CHG. I like the colour, and so does everyone else who sees me wearing it.
