Styling Products -TRESemme - Climate Control Tres Extra Hold Firm Control Mousse
rated 5 of 5

For reference, I have very thick but fine naturally curly hair that gets very frizzy/wild easily. I love this mousse because it controls my hair and gives me definition without a lot of "crunch" and doesn't make my hair feel coated, greasy, or stiff. I use a sulfate free shampoo, and the mousse doesn't build up in my hair. I don't need a lot of it; two palmfuls is enough for my shoulder length hair.

Scents are so personal; what one person likes the next may not. I liked this one; I can pick out the coconut and pineapple in it and I think its fresh and great for summer. :)

Polishes -OPI - Yodel Me On My Cell
rated 5 of 5
Susee 5/16/2011 8:20:00 AM

I found this polish to be really unique. It's a greenish-blue (definitely leaning towards blue) shimmer. I put it on my toes this morning; it applied very smoothly and dried quickly like most OPI polishes I've had. I had a nice opaque color in two coats. I really like the color on my fair (although slightly tanned) skin; it doesn't wash me out or look really dark, but it shows up really nice and, for some reason, reminds me of the sea. I think I'll be wearing it a lot this summer.

Clothes -Victoria's Secret - Dream Angels Demi Bra
rated 2 of 5
Susee 1/25/2011 7:13:00 PM

I LOVED this bra when I first got it; it is so pretty and it fit me really well. The memory foam in the cups conformed to my shape and it looked like it was made for me when I had it on. I paid full price, $45, for my first one. However, after only three months, the band has stretched out, is now too big, and rides up terribly in the back. I hand wash it and air it dry. It also doesn't really support me that well anymore. I am really disappointed in this bra and won't buy again.

Conditioner -Matrix - Biolage - Conditioning Balm
rated 5 of 5
Susee 12/21/2010 2:52:00 PM

I have thick, curly, color treated hair with a tendency to frizz. I have tried many different conditioners, and this one is, without a doubt, the best one for my type of hair. I use it as a rinse out, deep conditioner, and leave in. After I condition, my hair is very soft and smooth, not frizzy, and it doesn't feel "coated." I apply a tiny amount to my wet hair before my styling gel, and I get smooth, defined curls with very little crunch. It also NEVER builds up on my hair. I use a sulfate-free shampoo 3x a week, and don't have to clarify because I don't have buildup. HG HG!!! I've also used the gvp version from Sally's, which works very well, too, but I don't like the bottle it comes in (too hard to squeeze) and the smell is a bit more "plasticy."

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara
rated 4 of 5
Susee 12/1/2010 7:45:00 PM

This mascara goes on dark, makes my lashes look thick and long with one coat, doesn't irritate my eyes, and comes off easily with soap and water. The price is great. I also love the traditional brush. My ONLY complaint is that it clumps, but I can comb the clumps out. I would give it 4.5 if I could. I will repurchase as long as they make it.

Eyeliner -Avon - Ultra Luxury Eye Liner
rated 4 of 5
Susee 11/17/2010 4:00:00 PM

A long time ago (like 15 years) I used to sell Avon and used these pencils and loved them, but didn't think they lasted on my eyes long enough. I decided to try them again after doing a lot of internet researching about pencil and kohl eyeliners. Well, this eyeliner goes on very smoothly and has rich color. BUT it doesn't last if you want a very defined line; if you do, you probably need a liquid or mechanical-type liner. However, I decided to try using it and smudging it for a softer look. It worked very well and lasted for about seven hours before I noticed it fading, then I just reapplied it and smudged again (only because I'm going out tonight) for a deeper look. I used the midnight blue; it's beautiful for my fair skin, blue eyes, dk blonde hair. I think I'll try the charcoal and dk brown, too. And for $1.99 on sale, it's a steal!

Eyeliner -Clinique - Quickliner for Eyes in Violet
rated 4 of 5
Susee 11/3/2010 7:19:00 PM

I love the formula of quickliners. They go on smoothly and last all day for me. I like this color; it brings out the blue in my eyes and really shows up without being too dramatic for my fair skin. Pros: Smooth application with smudger if needed Wide variety of flattering colors Last all day (I wear contacts and have watery eyes) Washes off easily with mild non-oily makeup remover Cons: Can dry out over time Somewhat expensive compared to drugstore eyeliner, but it's worth it for the quality

Eye Makeup Remover -Neutrogena - Oil Free eye makeup remover
rated 4 of 5
Susee 9/25/2010 9:49:00 PM

I figured, if almost 800 people have reviewed this remover and over 75% say they would buy it again, I should give it a try. I did some research and found that it is silicone based, not oil-based (obviously:) or soap-based. The silicone is what leaves a "filmy" feeling, although it is not nearly as heavy as an oily remover. I don't wear waterproof eye makeup. My routine is to wash off as much of my eye makeup as I can with my face wash, and then use a little of this on my finger to gently rub away what is left. Then I use a tissue to wipe it off, and finally rinse again.

Eyeliner -Clinique - Quickliner intense black
rated 4 of 5
Susee 9/16/2010 4:14:00 PM

This is one of the new intense quickliners; it is very rich and creamy, and has the color is stronger and more "intense," hence the name, than the regular quickliners and lasts all day. However, it irritates my eyes terribly. I usually don't have that problem, even though I wear contacts. I used it the first time this morning and my eyes feel like they have had air blowing on them all day (I don't know how else to describe the feeling!) and have been very watery (and the eyeliner is lasting very well, I must add :). It's also a little too intense for my fair skin and blue eyes; I should have known because I prefer the new black. But for someone looking for a strong black eyeliner, I would say this is a good one! P.S. I took it back to Younkers and the SA was very nice and let me exchange it :)

Hair Color -Revlon - Colorsilk
rated 2 of 5
Susee 9/16/2010 1:56:00 PM

I color my hair mainly to cover grays. Colorsilk (I used dark blonde) did a wonderful job coloring my hair that is NOT gray yet, but a week after I colored, all of my gray hair showed through. It looked like I never colored it. I would not recommend it if you have resistant gray hair.

Eye Shadow -Avon - True Color Eyeshadow Quad Romantic Mauves
rated 3 of 5
Susee 9/14/2010 8:13:00 PM

The Avon eyeshadow quads have a beautiful consistency, they go on very smoothly; they're not chalky or powdery. They last all day and do not crease, and they do not irritate my eyes. They remove easily, and the colors are really pretty. I also think the price is very good. However, the pigmentation is lacking. I can build these up with three layers of shadow, and it still looks like I have very little shadow on. It just doesn't show up, so I won't repurchase. It's too bad, because I love everything else about this shadow.

Eye Shadow -Avon - True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Blushing Raisins
rated 3 of 5
Susee 9/14/2010 8:07:00 PM

I love the consistency of this eyeshadow; it's smooth and "creamy" to apply, lasts a long time, and removes easily. It also doesn't irritate my eyes (I wear contacts). The colors appear gorgeous in the pan. However, the pigmentation is very poor. I applied it today, and built it up three times, and it still looked like I had very little (if any) eyeshadow on. I used the three darkest colors. I've had this same problem with my other Avon quads; I tried the mauve and smoky eyes ones. It's too bad because I loved the good qualities of these shadows. Edit: BUT I've discovered that I really like the lightest color for an undereye concealer!

Lipstick -Clinique - Butter Shine - Crushed Grape
rated 5 of 5
Susee 8/31/2010 4:45:00 PM

My HG lipstick! It is dark but very flattering on me. It's muted and not "out there." It's moisturizing and so smooth and silky, and while it doesn't last forever on my lips, it doesn't wear off right away, either. There is no strange smell to it; it's practically unscented. I do feel Clinique lipsticks are slightly expensive, but they're worth every penny.
