Lips -Avon - Glazewear in Darling Pink
Shanplum 9/11/2012 2:35:00 AM
This looks Barbie plastic peppermint pink in the tube but don't be fooled as this is the 'shine formula' it goes on quite sheer and over a nude liner this looks amazing for a cooler toned pink nude lip. Great with purple makeup looks or just for a casual lip. I am warm toned but can pull this one off. super creamy and moisturising as per all Glazewears.

Lip Gloss -Avon - Glazewear Intense in Sundance
Shanplum 9/11/2012 2:33:00 AM
The most beautiful bronzey gold mauve rose if that makes sense frosty but not sparkly at all - looks great on fair skin with dark hair. Same classic creamy non-sticky moisturising texture as the rest of the glazewears. Best worn over a nude liner for a super pouty look.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Lip Lacquer
Shanplum 9/7/2012 11:15:00 PM
I have this in the shade 660 for Dark Brunettes - this is a very pretty pale peachy slightly mauvy pink with gold frost - think L'oreal fairest nude lipstick but sheerer with gold particles. Absolutely gorgeous. Same old loreal gloss vanilla caramel scent probably the same formula as the Color Juices too but in a chic new package. Slightly sticky but not overly so but this does improve the wear time. I would recommend this shade.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Colorburst Sunset Peach
Shanplum 9/7/2012 11:11:00 PM
this is my fave shade in the colorburst line, this is the third one I have had the other two were very gritty and irritating to wear this one isn't quite as gritty and has a lovely smooth almost gel-like texture. Nice peachy gold shade which gives lips a glow - definitely recommend using over a neutral orangey based liner to give the shade some oomph and pull out the peachiness. A good product but still not the best my fave gloss formula will always be Avon's glazewear!

Eyeliner -Physicians Formula - Shimmer Strips Gel Creamliner - Glam Collection - Brown Eyes
Shanplum 9/7/2012 11:09:00 PM
Good quality cream liner (comparable to MAC, smashbox and Maybelline - which I prefer over both of the more expensive ones) this is a nice set of Bronze, gold and black which make fabulous shadow bases/cream shadows for highlighting the eyes and defining. Stylish packaging though the pots are quite small so bear in mind if you are buying online like I did. Still a great product for a small price.

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Shimmer Strips - Custom Bronzer Blush and Eye Shadow
Shanplum 9/7/2012 11:05:00 PM
I am reviewing the Pink Sands - this is a beautiful cheek highlighter and the perfect bronzer for super pale skin like mine. The only thing I would suggest is to stay away from using it on the face at all costs if you have large pores it will only highlight them and make them ten times bigger. I have very small pores but it makes mine look bigger and my whole face look 'dewy and glowy' which I like but wouldnt be good for those who want to avoid this. Otherwise a top notch product a true rosy toned bronzer which is just gorgeous.

Liquid -Revlon - New Complexion Oil Control Makeup
Shanplum 9/3/2012 12:29:00 AM
I love the shade of this makeup (02 buff) compared to Colorstay in (02 buff) this formula is slightly paler and less yellow (though I do like yellow undertones in my makeup) and with colorstay buff i was having to purchase Ivory as well and mix the two. I was excited when I found this one day by accident and am on my second bottle. Previously the older formula of New complexion never came in buff in this country and I could never find a shade to suit. I also use Buff in Almay (also a Revlon company) but I have found they have discontinued both of the foundations of theirs that I was using which led me onto colorstay then this. Both formulas have sunscreen, The only downfall is this is an oil control formula (I am better suited to the dry skin formula of colorstay) and this can be a tad drying and enhance lines/pores more than the colorstay did. I will use up what I have left and switch back to the dry skin formula of colorstay buff and mix it with some white goth makeup which I have recently purchased which will make it wearable for me. I would give it a 5 out of 5 if I had oily skin as it is a beautiful makeup gives a nice sheen without sparkles (like photoready yuck) and gives a flawless finish.

Cleansers -Nivea - Refreshing cleansing lotion
Shanplum 8/31/2012 6:22:00 PM
This is a fantastic cream cleanser but it is not greasy like most cream cleansers it is quite fluid and lotion like gets rid of makeup and massaging it in is quite soothing - easily wipes off with a face cloth or tissues if you don't have access to water. Leaves skin smooth and clean!

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - HIP Shine Struck Liquid Lip Color Reserved
Shanplum 8/31/2012 6:11:00 PM
This is a very beautiful browny/mauve/pink and I think this would suit all skintones as it carries the tones warm and cool and looks completely natural on the lip. Looks good with or without liner. These have a beautiful non-sticky creamy texture and that is saying alot as I am a gloss hater usually.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - HIP Shine Struck Liquid Lip Color Splendid
Shanplum 8/31/2012 6:10:00 PM
This is a highly flattering shade despite looking quite frosty and like a peachy gold with violet/mauve frosting I expected it to look rather 80's however it is just beautiful with or without liner would describe it as one of those shades Adult Film stars would wear (they always do the best peachy pink glosses though their dramatic liplining techniques aren't exactly my best thing) - this is a strange description but hopefully it is helpful. Nice creamy not too sticky formula I have two of these and if you can get a nice shade (I have only found two neutrals in the line) they are a bargain.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - 8-pan Palette "Comfort Zone"
Shanplum 8/31/2012 6:06:00 PM
What can I say - this is super duper quality for an incredible price. All colours are gorgeous i doubted I would like half of them when I bought it online and just wanted the greens and a couple of the neutrals - but I love the lot. Yes the "Club" dupe definitely is a dupe I used to own club and found it too grubby brown and sparkly but this one seems to be more finely milled and the base is more of a terracotta/plum. I would highly recommend finding this even if you have to do some intensive research to track one down - we don't have this brand in NZ but it is being imported privately and I can source through auction sites - picked this up for $16 NZ (about $7.50 USD) along with Brulee and nutty for $7.50 NZD each (approx $3.50 in US dollars) so I still got these for quite a bargain considering that here in NZ the average shadow single from Revlon/Covergirl is in the $20 range and MAC is $35-40, Estee $60+ a piece and this is of better quality than most brands and comparable to MAC.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon #252B Nutty
Shanplum 8/31/2012 6:02:00 PM
This is similar to MAC satin taupe but is warmer and less purple/silver toned which makes it alot more wearable on my fair but warm skintone. Usually cool based greys and taupes just turn a weird shade of silver on me this is a nice mid-range shade slightly cool but warm at the same time. Very nice buttery texture and super affordable - we don't have this brand in NZ but it is being imported privately and I can source through auction sites - picked this up along with Brulee for $7.50 NZD (approx $3.50 in US dollars) so I still got these for quite a bargain considering that here in NZ the average shadow single from Revlon/Covergirl is in the $20 range and MAC is $35-40 a piece and this is of better quality than most brands and comparable to MAC.

Polishes -Orly - Prelude To a Kiss
Shanplum 8/21/2012 9:47:00 PM
Beautiful white peach with great opacity nice neutral way to carry off peach without it clashing with certain outfits/colours. On a warm pale skintone like me I appreciate the peach undertone as a pink undertone but unfortunately this gives me the corpse look - unfortunately this is impossible to apply the formula is streaky and takes forever to dry

Polishes -OPI - I'm Suzi & I'm A Chocoholic
Shanplum 8/21/2012 9:42:00 PM
The most flattering vampy warmtoned chocolately wine red. Applies smooth and non-streaky. Being super pale and very yellow toned it's hard to find reds that don't look garish on me and I usually opt for the vampy almost black wine shades and plums. This would be a great staple in any collection.

Polishes -Revlon - Tuscan Sun
Shanplum 8/21/2012 9:40:00 PM
When i first saw this in the bottle after purchasing online I thought it looked like a very dated bricky rose with a cool undertone however applied it comes alive and appears more warm and is a neutral brick rose teracotta shade which looks brilliant against my super pale warm toned skintone. This is a great neutral, looks glam and polished but it's neutral undertones make it work with any fashions/outfit. Something that you don't get with all the in fashion corals, greys and purples. A great standby. Excellent wear even without a base/topcoat this will last a good 5 days on me even doing dishes/chores.
