Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 30

I opted for the lower SPF version of this product because I've found that lower SPFs are less greasy, so I thought I'd be more apt to reapply. Unfortunately, I read member sunscreenFAQ's notepad about the concept of "photostability" and then checked member sunscreen's notepad for a list of photostable sunscreens. This product doesn't make that list. When you apply this, there's an initial white cast that you have to rub in really well. And then the first few minutes afterward your face feels moist and kind of sticky. But after a few minutes, WOW! It has absorbed completely and left a matte finish - a perfect surface for me to apply my foundation.

This reminds me of a Juicy Tube in its consistency - not sticky but not super slippery, either. Unfortunately, it has a heavy perfume smell that smells nice at first, but as the day wears on it begins to gross me out, especially as it transfers to my Nalgene, water bottles, etc.

Styling Products -TiGi - Bed Head Shine Junkie [DISCONTINUED]

Now that they've improved the packaging, this product is unstoppable. You take a teeny tiny amount, rub it on your palms, and then run your palms over your already-styled hair. It makes your hair super shiny, flattens the frizzies, and it smells nice. And like I said about the Dumb Blonde shampoo, this feels like you are using nothing to make your hair shiny and smooth - it's absolutely weightless...and this is coming from someone who has oily hair!

This is my HG shampoo, and I'm NOT blonde! It smells wonderful, grapefruity, citrusy, and the lather?! Forget about it! The best part about the lather, though, is that it ISN'T a sign that you're stripping your hair. When other shampoos lather this much it's a baaad sign. But Dumb Blonde is amazing. It feels like you've washed your hair with nothing - your hair is clean but still feels moist. I love it!

Cleansers -Burt's Bees - Orange Essence Facial Cleanser

I bought this because I couldn't afford the DHC oil cleanser anymore. It's good, but not as good. It comes in a tube so you squeeze a little bit of it out and rub it on your face. I have oily skin so I can't simply rinse with water, as the directions say, I wash it off with Cetaphil. For me it acts as a great makeup remover.

Misc Beauty Tools -Shiseido - Eyelash Curler

This is amazing. I have had both the Shiseido and the Shu eyelash curlers, and the the Shiseido works much, much better for me. I am Asian, but the Shu just would not grab my lashes! The Shiseido, in contrast, grips all of them and curls them perfectly, and the curl lasts all day - even on days when I cry!

The. Best. If I could afford to keep buying it, I would Instead I had to switch to Burt's Bees Orange Cleanser. Back to topic. This cleanser is based off of olive oil, but is water soluble. You pump just a little bit into your hand and rub onto your face. It's oily so it removes everything. But then the best part - you just rinse it all off with water! Imagine removing all of your makeup with Vaseline and then rinsing with water, and that's what this product is. The best. Once I start making more money I'll buy it again.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
BonChicBonGenre 10/21/2005 3:24:00 PM

This is a very basic cleanser designed for sensitive skin - no more, no less. It's a cream cleanser so it doesn't lather and it doesn't remove your eye makeup. If you prefer foam, this isn't for you. If you wear eye liner or mascara, you need to remove it separately before using this. Otherwise you rub it on and you can either rinse with water or wipe it off with a clean cloth. It leaves your skin clean but not dry feeling. Extra tip: if you feel like exfoliating, mix this with a mushed up uncoated aspirin tablet or with baking soda.

This is a terrible product - do not buy it. The product is cakey and does not go on smoothly, even if you use your fingers. It absolutely does not hold eye shadow well, causing it to crease and causing your eyelids to feel oily. You can achieve the same "eye-brightening" effect by using plain eye shadow in a light color.
