Lipstick -Trucco - Super Natural (sheer)
mljohnson123 7/26/2005 5:28:00 PM
I love this color; sheer, shimmery warm-gold. I bought two of each shade just in case they discontinue them on me. This is one of my favorite colors. It is very smooth, luxurious, and the perfect amount of shine. A little bit goes a long way. I have Pearled, Glazed, Flesh 5, Super Sensual, Tainted, Stained, Super Natural. I am very impressed with the Trucco Line. I have found several items that compliment my skin DDD(IMAN Clay6).

Lipstick -Trucco - Matte Lipstick in Courtly
mljohnson123 7/26/2005 5:08:00 PM
I love this color; bubble gum pink-gold with a matte finish. This is one of the few cool pinks that look wonderful with my DDD complexion. It does looks different in the tube; rosey-wine with lots of gold frost. I am very impressed with the Trucco line. They seem to be hightly pigmented. I have found quite a few items that look good on my warm-dark skin.

Makeup Brushes -Japonesque - Powder Squirrel Blend #333 (Squirrel Blending and Powder Face Brush)
mljohnson123 7/18/2005 12:53:00 PM
This is a very soft brush and it applies powder like a dream. I bought this brush to carry in my purse; a travel brush. But it doesn't fit into my Trish McEvoy Petite Planner. I like short handle brushes so I use this at home. For travel I am much happier with my Sonia K. brush from Target.
*****UPDATE 1/5/06 *****My brush fell apart. The handle came unglued from the metal piece that holds the bristles. Maybe I was getting wet when I washed them. I don't know. :(
*****UPDATE: 6/4/06 *****I purchase a second one on sale at ULTA. This one is working like a champ. I use it at home.
*****UPDATE: 1/12/07 *****The second one I purchased fell apart too. I will just stick with my Alcone powder brush.

Makeup Brushes -Japonesque - Travel Blush Brush
mljohnson123 7/18/2005 12:50:00 PM
This is a very soft brush. It applies powder beautifully. I bought this brush to carry in my purse. But it doesn't fit into my travel makeup bag. If you like short handle brushes, this brush is perfect for using at home. I prefer using my Sonia K. brush from Target to carry in my purse.

Makeup Brushes -Japonesque - Bronzer Brush

This a very soft brush. It applies bronzer and powder beautifully. This would be perfect if it had a carrying case and longer handle.

Lipstick -Milani - Lipstick (all shades)
mljohnson123 7/5/2005 1:26:00 PM
I love Milani. I have several of the lipsticks(regular, matte, & sheer), crystal glass lip gloss, lipliner, and eyeliners. And I love them all. They have a great texture; not too creamy or greasy. Wide selection colors; light, medium, and dark shades. The colors are hightly pigmented, so they will last you a long time. It is sometimes hard to find colors that compliment my complexion, DDD, (Iman Clay 6). But all the Milani lipstick, gloss, and liners look great. I probably have more of the lipsticks because you can sample them b4 you buy.
They do have a scent to them. It goes away after you wear it. Most of my lipsticks are Trucco, Iman or Milani. When ever they are on sale, I stock up. But even for $3.00 they are well worth the money.

Lipstick -Milani - South Beach
mljohnson123 7/5/2005 1:07:00 PM
One word, BEAUTIFUL. I love anything with glitter/shimmer. This is a red brown with bronze shimmer. Looks great on my skin; medium dark with yellow & red undertones. This is a great shade for day or night. The texture is great. It wears well. And a little goes a long way. Milani does it again.

Lipstick -Milani - Chocolate Raspberry
mljohnson123 7/5/2005 1:03:00 PM
This one my favorite Milani shades. I don't wear bright-pinks/berry/fushia. So this brown-raspberry is perfect for my DDD skin(dark brown with yellow & red undertones) for the daytime. I will add a fushia or iridescent plum gloss over it for the evening (dinner, dancing, parties).
I also bought one for my sister. Her complexion is medium-brown with yellow undertone. Cooltoned shades(Lavender, Plum, Eggplant) don't usually work for her. But she wears Chocolate Raspberry with plum/fushia/eggplant/silver gloss. And they look beautiful.

Lipstick -Milani - Creamy Cocoa
mljohnson123 7/5/2005 12:45:00 PM
I love this color. I wear this with some of my darker colors as a highlight. I love frosted, shimmer colors. Which is sometimes difficult to find one the compliments my DDD skin. This one works beutifully for me my complexion (IMAN CLAY6). I have even worn it with liner, blotting, and shiney gloss.

Lipstick -Milani - cocoa butter
mljohnson123 7/5/2005 12:26:00 PM
This is a medium, warm brown matte color. Very close to the color of real cocoa butter.
It is a good shade for a natural/fresh look on GGG or DDD and clear gloss. It is also very pretty layered under Milani lipstick in 'Fox Glove' or Urban Decay XXX shine gloss 'UZI'.
Creamy, smooth texture and last a long while. I would definitely repurchase.

Lipstick -Milani - Deep Love
mljohnson123 7/5/2005 12:14:00 PM
This is a medium-deep, warm red; not orange or pink. It is beautiful, beautiful red for a DDD. The texture is great, and the color last for a long time. This could easily be a staple for your lipstick collection.

Lipstick -Milani - Malt Mocha
mljohnson123 7/5/2005 12:08:00 PM
Great nude color, even for a DDD like myself. Great texture, and last for a while. It does have some scent in it. But it goes away after to wear it.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Colour Juice - Melon Punch
mljohnson123 6/21/2005 5:10:00 PM
Not all that crazy about CJ. However, Melon Punch is a sheer orange color with gold shimmer. It has a nice thick texture, but doesn't not feel heavy. Great shine to it too. I also have Iced Latte. They both compiment my DDD skin. However, I prefer Revlon SuperLustrous or HIP glosses. So won't repurchase.

Makeup Brushes -L'Oreal - Makeup Artiste Travel Brush Set
mljohnson123 6/21/2005 4:24:00 PM
I bought my travel set about a year ago. I prefer the L'oreal powder/blush brush more than the Trish Mcevoy mini powder/blush. The brushes are soft and apply color like the larger size brushes. They are compact and fit nicely in my makeup bag. In general, I really like these brushes. After a year, I have noticed that they have started shedding when I wash them. But I think they are well worth the $12 I paid for them.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Powder Brush
mljohnson123 6/21/2005 4:16:00 PM
This brush is so soft. It feels great on the skin. It is very dense/think brush. It applies powder evenly. The price is very reasonable. I gave it only 4 lippies, because it does shed a little. Especially when you wash it. I am enjoying the brush I have. I even prefer this to my Japanesque brush. **update** 8/8/05 My brush is shedding now. It is leaves hairs all over my face. I am using a Loreal powder brush for now. It is cheap, but does not shed.
