Totally dried out and destroyed my combination skin. It took me almost a year to recover from the breakouts this caused. Very disappointing because so many people rave about this! I also don't like the (lack of) packaging. I know that's kind of Lush's thing but it makes it very hard to store in a bathroom shared with others in a sanitary way - not such a big deal to me with body soap, but I want to know that what I'm putting on my face is clean.
I LOVE the scent of this shower gel. Sweet and yummy and fruity and like candy! It's a little strange to me that it's a Christmas-only product, since it doesn't smell very Christmassy to me (it actually smells more summery, in my opinion) but I love it anyway. The scent is very powerful - I can smell it throughout my house after I use it - and lasts pretty well on the skin, though not as long as I'd like. The sparkles are pretty in the bottle, but I've never seen them on me after using it. I get excited every year when this comes out again!
I love the scent, like others have said, it's a perfect summer scent. Don't expect an artificial citrusy scent though, this actually smells like real lemon and grapefruit. It doesn't dry my skin out. Not much else to say other than that - if you like the smell, it's a good product!
This is a great scrub. At first I didn't like the smell, but it's grown on me - it smells fresh and summery; definitely better on skin than in the bottle. It's scrubby but gentle, it's not so abrasive that you can't use it daily. I like that it's in a bottle rather than a tub like most scrubs, though the opening tends to get clogged with dried salt if you don't rinse it off well after each use. I've also used it on my face (combination skin that gets dried out easily by certain products) and had good results, though I wouldn't use it more than twice a week on my face. It's similar to but actually less abrasive than Lush's Ocean Salt Scrub. Will definitely repurchase.
I love this stuff! I got a sample from Sephora as a Beauty Insider gift, and it's awesome. Unlike many "unscented" products, it truly smells like nothing, not like chemicals, not some weird smell, but nothing. It's very moisturizing. I can't wait to use it in winter on my hands - they get really dry but I hate putting hand cream on and then smelling it when I eat, blech. Though it's a bit pricey, I will definitely be purchasing the full size of this!
Best tweezers ever! I even got my boyfriend hooked on them, not that he'd ever admit to using a beauty tool. ;-)
Misc Beauty Tools -Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets

These work perfectly for making my face look matte again halfway through the day without disturbing my makeup, as long as I press the sheet and lift it directly off. I have repurchased countless times. A must have!
Amazing blending brush! I have the full sized version and an SE version and find them very comparable in quality, unlike most SE brushes. Not much else to say other than this is a fantastic blending brush!
Hands down, my HG eyeshadow brush! It is so soft and perfect for packing on color as well as shading. In a pinch, I have used it for a lid brush, a crease brush, blending, and lining my eyes w/ shadow. If I was only allowed to have one eyeshadow brush, this would be it, no question. I have a full sized version and an SE version, and while the SE is nice, the full sized is much softer and applies color much more evenly.
This is a fantastic brush. I have a full sized one and an SE from the Hello Kitty set. I got the Hello Kitty one first and love it for applying blush and studio fix powder. After hearing the hype of using this brush to apply liquid foundation, I tried it with my SE brush and didn't like the results. However, I recently purchased the full sized version and LOVE the results it gives with liquid foundation. So far I've tried it with studio fix fluid, make up for ever mat velvet, and revlon colorstay and it makes each of them look flawless! I haven't had a problem with either of mine shedding or bleeding. One or two hairs might shed every once in a while when I'm using it for liquid foundation, but that's not it's intended use so I can't really complain.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)

Excellent brush, worth the hype. It has so many uses - liquid foundation, bronzer, blush, etc. I have somehow ended up with three of these - one full size and two SE. I do find that the SE brushes shed a little bit more than my full size one, and also don't like them as much for applying foundation since they're not quite as stiff. Both versions are well worth the money though.
LOVE this brush! Super soft (not scratchy at all), fluffy, and CHEAP! Not one hair has shed from it, even after washing multiple times. I use it to apply setting powder.
Lip Gloss -Bare Escentuals - 100% Natural Lipgloss in Wild Honey
yayitsanne 7/14/2009 8:16:00 PM
Wild honey gives me a very pretty peachy nude lip. In the tube it reminds me a little bit of MAC's nymphette lip glass, but it doesn't look very similar on. The formula of this is very creamy and moisturizing. I don't feel that I need to slather my lips with chapstick before applying like I do with most lip glosses.
Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish - Porcelain Pink

Love this! It's up there with Petticoat MSF on my holy grail cheek product list. It gives the prettiest pink glow, and isn't glittery or chunky at all. It's slightly lighter and warmer toned than Petticoat, so I actually like it better for daytime. It works great on my NC25 skin over blush or alone. I do like sheerer blushes though; I can see how some people might not find it pigmented enough to be used alone. The only thing I hate about it is the price; I can't believe how much MAC has raised the prices of MSFs recently!
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expertwear Eye Shadow Quad in Mocha Motion
yayitsanne 7/14/2009 8:10:00 PM
I don't have very many matte shadows because I usually find them hard to work with, not to mention chalky and not very pigmented, whether they are high or low end. However, I really like this quad! The colors go very well together and for matte shadows, they are pretty smooth, pigmented, and easy to blend. I feel they work better when used with eyeshadow brushes (I like MAC's 239 and 217) than with the applicators in the package.
