i am hooked on this lip balm. it has a mild, fresh, fruity scent that isn't TOO fruity, and doesn't taste like anything, thankfully. goes on colorless. not tacky or greasy at all, and does a great job of smoothing and moisturizing. love that it has spf. squeezing it out of the tube is a bit of a pain, and i wish it were cheaper, but i'm very happy with it. my husband is addicted and uses it on himself every night!

i usually don't wear more than concealer, powder, and lipstick, but got this for a special occasion last year. it is a gorgeous cool brown (doesn't bring out any red in the eyes, according to the salesperson), great for my medium asian skin and brown eyes. the formulation is so silky! feels cool and smooth going on, and lasts. no creasing that i noticed, even after dancing all night. gentle on the skin. love it.

Mascara -Shu Uemura - Mascara Basic [DISCONTINUED]

expensive but worth every penny. when i use mascara (usually only for going out), i first curl my straight asian lashes with the shu uemura lash curler, and then apply this amazing product. as in prior reviews, no clumping/smudging. very easy to apply. adds incredible definition and length without looking like you're trying too hard. doesn't run. and at the end of the night, it is easy to remove! update: my HG mascara - after 6 years plus.

can't say enough about the shu uemura brushes. this one is great for applying eye shadows. the flat, curved shape is perfect for smoothing powder over the eyelids. wonderful quality bristles, so soft on the sensitive eye area. pricey but worth it!

this brush is amazing! i've had it for years and can tell i'll have it for many more. it was expensive, but definitely worth the price. i use it every day for applying loose translucent powder, and it has really stood up to lots of abuse. looks and functions as well as when i brought it home. wonderful chunky black lacquered handle, and the bristles are incredibly soft! the powder goes on easily and perfectly, and i never have to worry about overapplication or streaks. easy to clean. update: going strong after 10+ years of use!

Fragrances -Fresh - Freesia edt

i've worn this fragrance for some years now, and have never grown tired of it. it's a single note floral, great for spring/summer and daytime use. clean and, well, fresh. not at all overpowering. i don't favor musky or warm scents, and i know florals can start smelling alike after a while, but this is wonderful because the freesia scent isn't the most common thing out there. the bottle, a cute and squat frosted glass number, is quite pretty.

i love my shu uemura brushes. the 5R is a slender, tapered one that i have used for applying cream concealer. it's great for controlled, small areas. the bristles are firm enough for precise spot application, and feel great on the skin! the brush itself is quite attractive, and its packaging was wonderful, as always with this brand.

i have had a pair of the slant tweezers and the precision point tweezers for years, and cannot function without these. i use them to manage my VERY black eyebrows, and the point tweezers are incredible at getting the hairs just as they're starting to show. the slant tweezers will grab almost anything without breaking the hair shaft. update: using these for over 8 years and now my eyebrows have the occasional WHITE hair - but the tweezers are still amazing.

i have been using this lash curler for at least 4 years, and love it. i've never had problems with my skin or lashes getting caught, and it works really well for my EXTREMELY straight, thick asian lashes. i start curling from the base of the lashes, then gently work my way up, squeezing about 3 times. i'm very happy with this lash curler! update - still amazing after 10 years, just need to replace the cushion every year or so.

WOW! got this as a gift and was blown away by the amazing fragrance. truly wonderful. stimulating and wakes me up in the morning. the formula is cleansing and non-drying. i agree that the squeeze tube is handy in the shower, and is well-designed. the scrubbing beads are just textured enough to do the job, but not too rough on skin. i don't use this every day because i'm afraid to run out! i also agree with a prior reviewer in that the scent, while fabulous, will not last long, so one needn't worry about layering other post-shower products on top.

wonderful fresh grapefruit scent, and really cleanses well without drying. i use it every 2-3 weeks or so, since i use a styling product regularly, and my normal type asian hair is left smooth, soft, and full of body. i enjoy this product immensely! will definitely buy again. cute bottle.

i love this solid perfume! where to start... the sleek chrome and black leather case has a pleasant heft and slips easily into bags, or stacks well on a table or shelf. easy to control the amount used, and imparts a subtle sheen to skin along with a delicate gardenia scent. i'm partial to fresh florals, and this is definitely a must-have.

in agreement with prior reviews, this is a sheer brown-red that goes well over a slick of lip balm. otherwise it's too dry. i have medium asian skin with high pigment lips, and found the color a bit more brown than i'd like. however if i use less product, it appears more red, which is fine. i don't carry this in my bag, so the packaging doesn't bug me, but i probably won't buy this again.

as an asian with medium skin (chantecaille 'nude') and high pigment lips, i find chantecaille's lip palette to be a bit limited. that being said, i do like this gloss. i don't use it every day, but only occasionally, when i'm feeling a bit more daring. it goes on as a pretty, flirty red, and the tone is relatively easy to adjust with amount of product used. luxurious texture, not at all greasy or tacky. love the spf. oh, and the packaging is CUTE. i probably won't buy this again, as i tend to like stuff i can use every day, but am open to looking for other shades as this is a great product!

This has been my HG eye cream for over 5 years. I had to redo the review because I can now honestly say that I haven't tried anything better. It really does minimize fine lines. It doesn't irritate my eyes, and the fact that it has SPF is really important to me. I am now buying the professional size online, in order to save $ since the price went up.
