This conditioner is great. It detangles as well as it leaves my hair very smooth and shiny. No build-up issues and has just the right amount of moisture for my fine dry color treated hair. Will definately purchase again. Ingredients: Aqua with mango, kiwi fruit extract, papaya fruit extract, pulmeria, Aloe vera, horsetail, awapuhi, soybean protein, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, behentrimonium methosulfate, cetearyl alcohol, polyquaternium 7, panthenol, tocopherol, phenoxyethanol, fragrance with essential oils

Shampoo -Giovanni - Root 66 Max Volume Shampoo
kylesmom27 12/31/2007 12:07:00 AM
This is a newer Giovanni product so I had to try it. My hair is fine but abundant and dry from coloring. This cleanses nicely without stripping color or moisture and doesn't weigh my hair down. Very nice! Ingredients: Aqua with mango, kiwi fruit extract, papaya fruit extract, pulmeria, aloe vera, horsetail, awapuhi, soybean protein, C12-14 olefin sulfonate, cocamidopropyl betaine, Caprylic/capric glycerides, panthenol, tocopherol, phenoxyethanol, fragrance with essenitial oils

Lotions/ Creams -Desert Essence - Pumpkin Hand Repair Cream
kylesmom27 12/31/2007 12:02:00 AM
I have purchased 5 tubes of this wonderful handcream. It smells heavenly but the scent doesn't irritate my skin which is a first. It leaves my hands silky smooth but not greasy at all. I bought it from Vitacost.com which has great prices. Ingredients: Aqueous infusion of certified organic extracts cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed extract and glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) leaf extract, certified organic cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed oil, certified organic simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, glycerin, emulsifying wax, stearic acid, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, potassium sorbate, potassium gluconate, phenoxyethanol, proprietary blend of essential oils. Will definately buy again and makes a wonderful gift. I wish they made a matching body wash and other products in this scent. YUM!

Other -Jessicurl - Island Fantasy White Chocolate Bar
kylesmom27 12/15/2007 9:55:00 PM
Okay, when I first read the email for this I thought it was silly. And then I couldn't stop thinking about it b/c I love the Island Fantasy scent. Jessicurl had a special where you get a free bar with a combo set purchase so I bought the body combo. The bar tastes exactly like the Island Fantasy scent!!! It's smooth and creamy. I could have eaten a dozen of them which is saying a lot since I worked at Godiva for a year. Do I think these bars are worth $3? Nah. Would I order them specially from Jessicurl? Probably not with their outrageous shipping. But for a free bar, this was heavenly.

Moisturizers -Sage - Old Lady Cream
kylesmom27 12/14/2007 1:34:00 PM
(I'm DSNW and terribly sensitive due to rosacea.) This moisturizer has absolutely saved my skin this winter! By looking at the ingredients you expect to be similar to Aquaphor but instead it has a light whipped texture that sinks right in unlike most other moisturizers. I use it morning allover my face/eye area and at night OVER my Metrogel. It's quite pricey considering the ingredients but it's a great product that does what it says. I wish it came in a squeeze tube instead of a jar though. Thanks again to BarbiH for sending a sample to me, she saved my skin.

Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - Curlisto Bio-Gel Mousse

I've only used this once but have to say that I am so far impressed. It's a pump/aerosol type of bottle that dispenses the product into your hand which is like gel and then it foams. My hair was a bit crunchy but NO FRIZZ!! Nice skinny curls as I don't like "clumping". Probably the best my hair has looked airdried in sometime. It smells nice, a lot like kiwi but not sickly sweet. I used it with the Curlisto Botanical Shampoo and Botanical Rinse which are both nice too. I actually had called Curlmart to see what products they rec'd for my hairtype (2A, fluffy/frizzy) and this is what she told me I should try. Ingredients: water, isopentane, isobutane, pvp/va copolymer, panthenol, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, hedychium coronarium root extract, kiwi fruit extract, mango fruit extract, passiflora incarnata fruit extract, hydrolyzed wheat protein, hydrolyzed wheat starch, dimethicone copolyol, polyquaternium-11, sodium PCA, Oleth-20, tetrasodium EDTA, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, benzophenone-3, methylparaben, diazolidinyl urea, fragrance.

Crème -Cover Girl - Advanced Radiance Restorative Cream [DISCONTINUED]
kylesmom27 11/28/2007 6:28:00 PM
First let me say that I hate the jar packaging! Okay, now the product. I chose Ivory which is a great match for my NC15/N3 complexion, it's actually just a touch darker which is okay. It goes on really nice and smooth but isn't greasy or shiny. I used a MAC foundation brush to apply it and that worked really well. Now it does contain glucosamine and a peptide so it may not work out in the long run since my skin is so insanely sensitive. If it doesn't, I'll update my review.

Moisturizers -La Roche Posay - Toleriane Soothing Protective Facial Cream
kylesmom27 11/27/2007 2:43:00 PM
(I am DSNW with rosacea for reference) I have tried this many times thinking that it just has to work for me but sadly it doesn't. It stings upon application and turns me red until I wash it off. My only guess is the squalane is the ingredient that doesn't agree with me. It's a smidge shiny/greasy looking too.

Cleansers -Purpose - Gentle Cleansing Wash
kylesmom27 11/22/2007 12:28:00 AM
This stuff is one of the most drying cleansers I've ever used. Even when I was much oilier in my teen years I couldn't tolerate this. Made my face tight and itchy after only one use. I recommend this for more resistant, oily skintypes if you must try it.

This is a great cleanser for sensitive skin. It doesn't foam but also doesn't leave a film. The texture is similar to Cetaphil cleanser but doesn't irritate me the way Cetaphil does. My derm rec'd this cleanser to use in the mornings since Cerave cleanser had been stinging my face. Love it!

Cleansers -Clinique - CX Soothing Cleanser
kylesmom27 11/19/2007 11:08:00 PM
This cleanser was surprisingly irritating. It made me red and itchy so I had to wash again with Clinique Extra Mild soap, which I love. No scent that I could tell and it didn't foam, those were the only pluses.

Sunscreen -Solbar - Shield SPF 40
kylesmom27 11/14/2007 3:52:00 PM
First of all, it's very whitening no matter how much I rubbed it in. And it wasn't emollient at all, it didn't spread very well. But it still managed to be very shiny on top of my Noritate which is a matte finish. So I decided to wash it off which took 2 uses of Clinique TTDO balm, this stuff is tenacious to say the least. Thank goodness this was a sample from my derm's office and I didn't buy it b/c I won't be using it again.
