Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Crystal Roll-On Body Deodorant

Love it!!! It's the very best deodorant I've ever used, and I really like the fact it's natural, concerning all the bad things you hear lately about the harmful effects of deodorants. I also like the fact that there's no smell, which makes it easier to combine with parfume. I've also tried the rock version, but found that to be difficult to use, plus it felt as if nothing was put on. But this roll on is just perfect and I will never go back to regular deodorants!
I must say I'm surprised to read so many negative reviews about this product.. I can't relate to most of the things pointed out, which makes me wonder wether L'oreal may have changed their formula? Anyway, I've been using this for just two days now, and am quite pleased by the results. It gives my skin an instant healthy appearance, I don't think the shine or texture is too heavy. It smells nice and I've tried, but really cannot rub it off my face.. But maybe, when I use it for a little bit longer, I'll change my mind..?
Toners -Nivea - Alcohol-Free Moisturizing Toner [DISCONTINUED]
caradiangela 5/18/2007 4:45:00 PM
I guess this is a great toner for dry skin types. On my combo skin it leaves a slight residue which I didnt like during the day. So I stopped using it as a whole-face toner, and started using it as a eye make-up remover :) I find it to be very effective in THAT category, but for the whole toner part, I give just three lippies. O, and I don't get the parfum added either. It smeels too heavy and just isnt a gentle ingredient. They should get it out to please more of the people with sensitive skin.
I usually love Weleda products, but this moisturizer is too heavy for my combo skin. Doesnt sink in, which surprised me, as the packaging claims this to be for combo, young skin. It smells very nice, but furthermore its just not for me.
Mascara -Chanel - Inimitable Mascara Multi-Dimensionnel

I got this as a free sample and I must say I'm disappointed. I never used a mascara from such an expensive brand, and I alway thought that would give amazing results compared to cheap mascara's. But the opposite is true for me, Chanel Inimitable does its job reasonably. It does in fact thickens, lengthens and even curls a little bit, but many other mascara's do the same thing nowadays. The type of brush seems to be a rip-off from MaxFactors, but his could also be the other way around I dont know. Anyway, MaxFactor Masterpiece (Max) gives my lashes way better results for a much lower price!
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Extra Virgin Olive Oil
caradiangela 5/13/2007 6:39:00 AM
Well, what to say... I really wanted to like this product as a face cleansing method. I have quite easy, combinated skin and I was on the look out for a way of cleansing that isnt too drying, and does a little extra for the skin. The use of plain e.v. olive oil seemed to be just that! I really liked the natural aspect of it, and it also felt nice on my skin, didnt mind any smell either... But, after using it for about a week, I must say I'm a bit disappointed. Maybe its just too greasy for my skin type, or I've used it incorrectly. Either way, I feel like in the past week I've been broken out more than I regularly do. I must say it's also the time of month...if you know what I mean...so honestly I dont know really what caused it. My skin feels soft and moisturised tough. Maybe I'll give it another try for one more week, and update. I used it like this: putting a little amount of evoo on a cotton pad, and smeared it all over my (dry) face. After a short while, I rinsed my face with plain (cold) water. I didnt do a good job removing my mascara either (the only make up I use, MaxFactor MAX). UPDATE: Since I've quit cleaning my face with olive oil, my break-outs all disappeared. So I guess EVOO really isnt for me (I take one lippy of)
I dont get why so many people use Pantene shampoos. It make my hair dry and takes away all the volume. Stopped using it after a few times. In my opinion, their ingredients listed arent great either :(
Cleansers -Nivea - Visage Young - Wash Off Cleansing Gel
caradiangela 5/10/2007 9:07:00 AM
It's been a while ago that I've used this product, but I remember it being a gentle wash-gel version. In my opinion it didnt do much for my skin, but it also didnt do much harm. It doesnt dry out your skin and leaes you feelng fresh, which I guess is the main purpose. Still, I prefer cleaning with water only above all of this stuff.
Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Nivea Soft Moisturizing Creme
caradiangela 5/10/2007 8:55:00 AM
I dont get whats with this product... Don't get me wrong: every time I use it, I like it. I've used it on my hands, face, legs..and it always makes my skin feel smooth, silky, fresh. But there's nothing really special about the formula! Maybe its the nice scent, or good name it had...I dont know. Either way I wont buy it agian cos it has no SPF for the face-area, and for the body there are moisturizers out there containing way better formulations.
To be honest, I never bought or used this at all, the only thing I want to say about it is that I once got some free samples of it together with a magazine... At first a was excited, cos this is a famous system I always wanted to try but never did due to the price. But secondly I read the ingredients-lists...and was very very puzzled by them. SO much alcohol, fragrances, and other harsh ingredients, so little 'special' ones! It differs in totally NO way from the cheapest over the counter products, and I got the feeling it may even be worse for your skin! So I never tried it and am still happy about that.
Stupid product. Totally dries out skin. Believe me: there's nothing 'pure' about your face anymore after using this for a few weeks!
It's been a while ago since I last used this product, but I don't remember it as something special for my combo skin. That period a had considerably bad skin, and tried everything I could find to help myself. This resulted in even worse (and totally dried out) skin, and right at the point I gave up and quited using all those products, my skin cleared up. So far so good :) This treatment was medium, in the way that it didnt help me, but didnt dried out either.
A very nice moisturiser. I know its meant for rather oily skin, but it doesnt really easely sinks in my combo skin. Thats the only con. Furthermore it indeed gives your skin a nice glow, it smells delicious and you only have to use tiny bits of it so your package lasts forever. I use it as a night cream on the drier parts of my face, not during the day because it doesnt contain a SPF. Looks nice on your lips too (but maybe Im the only one who puts everything on her lips ;)
Shampoo -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Rosemary Shampoo
caradiangela 5/9/2007 6:02:00 AM
This to me is a very gentle shampoo with all natural ingredients and a very fresh rosemary-scent. It cleans well (something not all natural shampoos do!), but gives less, not to say no, volume. Thats why no five lippies. Would buy it again when the bottle is empty.
Great to put on your lips!! It gives them a very natural, matte kind of gloss (cant describe it better, sorry :) Its to heavy to use on my face, but it works very well on dry spots on my body. Bu I still prefer it on my lips, makes them sooooo soft!
