I received a few samples of this to try. I'm thankful I didn't spend money on this. It made my hair feel dry, yet heavy and limp. I can't believe what they charge for this stuff. I guess it must work for some, but I would never buy it.

I have been getting pimples on my neck that are embarrassing and sometimes painful. I have used Retin-A on my face for many years, but I don't want to start using it on my neck. The neck problem has only started in about the last 6 months. Not sure what is causing it. Anyhow, I received some sample tubes of this to try, and I didn't want to use it on my face because I figured it would be too much with the Retin-A. I decided to try it on my neck. I was amazed at how quickly I saw a difference. After the first day of using it, the pimples were greatly reduced. After the third day, all that was left was little red marks where they had been. After about 7-10 days of use, the red marks were gone, along with the marks that had been left on my neck from previous breakouts. I have had no irritation or dryness. I bought a tube once I used up the samples. It is on the pricey side, I will definitely say that. But it lasts quite a while, and it works without irritating me, so it's worth it to me.
The color is fine. I like how it applies, it blends well and it's not hard to get a natural look. But it fades too quickly on me. I usually apply it twice, putting it on once over my foundation and under my finishing powder, then I reapply over the powder. It looks so nice, but only for a couple of hours, tops. I am still searching for a blush that doesn't fade so quickly.
These wipes did a horrible job removing foundation. When I have Revlon Colorstay on, there is no foundation on the wipe after I use it. When I use any other foundation, there is a little on the wipe, but not much. The smell is fine, I didn't have any stinging issues, but they just didn't do much for me.
I love this stuff. My hair has been feeling really heavy lately. I think it is buildup. I use mostly L'Oreal Everpure and then Tresemme conditioner for color treated hair. I also use quite a lot of hairspray. I love the L'Oreal, but I think sometimes it's just not enough to deal with buildup. I decided to try this shampoo to see if it would help with that, without stripping my hair. It is very nice. It smells nice and really seems to be helping my hair not be weighed down. So far it doesn't seem to be stripping my color, and my hair is not getting dry from it. I'm happy I gave it a try.
I have been struggling with how to review this palette for a while now. Because while I think the shadows are the same amazing quality as all Urban Decay shadows, and there are many lovely colors in this palette, I had to return it. And that decision took me a while to make, too! I have the first Naked palette, and use it almost every day. I really wanted Naked 2,and ordered it as soon as Sephora had it. I was so happy when it came, the colors in the palette looked so pretty, and I like the packaging. But these colors don't work for me. I tried many different ways of combining them and wearing them, and I looked bad in most all of them. I did really like Tease, and YDK was pretty nice, too. But all in all, this palette really didn't suit my coloring. The brush is surprisingly nice. The lipgloss looked pretty in the tube, but I found it lacking in pigment. So while it didn't work out for me and I ultimately sent it back, it was not a fault of the product or a lack of quality. It just seems to be more suited for cooler toned people.
This is such a pretty, versatile matte shadow, and the quality is just what I expect from an Urban Decay eyeshadow: wonderful! Creamy, well pigmented, never chalky.
Eye Shadow -Almay - Bright Eyes Color Cream shadow

Well, I found this at Dollar Tree, so it must be discontinued. and I paid $1 too much for it. I bought the one for "fair", as that is what I am. It doesn't show up at all. It gives a bit of shimmer, I guess. And then it creases almost immediately. I tried using it as a base with powder shadow over it, too, to see how that works. It didn't. It looked like an interesting product. Glad I am only throwing $1 in the garbage.
Mascara -Jordana - Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara

Love and hate, all wrapped up in one product. Love: The brush is wonderful. A nice, full brush. It separates my lashes beautifully. No clumps at all. And it makes my lashes look amazing. Very full and feathered. Just beautiful. But the Hate: Started to smudge within an hour. Went to check a mirror, I had black circles under my eyes, the dreaded raccoon look.(I did not apply this on my lower lashes, only the top) Had to keep wiping under my eyes with q-tips all day until I could finally take it off. The raccoon problem is a common one for me. If you are a person who never or rarely experiences that problem, then I really recommend you try this. It is very cheap (I paid under $3) and really does make your lashes look amazing. But as for me, well, it's in the trash.
Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage
andToto2 2/11/2012 11:00:00 AM
Just as with the All About Eyes creams, this does nothing at all for me. In fact, as with the cream, I put it on in the morning after washing my face and Poof! I now have bags under my eyes. Which is ironic, as this is supposed to "De-Puff". It doesn't seem like an allergic reaction, as there is not any stinging or itching. I don't get any benefit at all from it. My eye area looks better without it I'm glad this came in my gift with purchase, it is going in the trash. Although if I had paid for it, I could at least bring it back.
Lotions/ Creams -Olay - Ultra Moisture Lotion with Shea Butter
andToto2 2/11/2012 10:56:00 AM
Olay can try and say they didn't change the formula of this product, but they are lying. This used to be one of my favorite lotions. When I purchased this recently, and on their website, it says "New look, same great product." Not at all. The smell was the first thing I noticed. It used to smell very nice. Now it is so over the top strong and perfumey smelling, it gives me a headache and nauseates me. It is also thinner than before. It used to be thick and creamy, and now it is not. Looking at the reviews left for this product on the Olay website, I can see I am not alone in thinking that this product has been changed and being unhappy with the changes. Why do companies do this? Makes me crazy!!
I received a sample of this from Sephora. It definitely has it's good points. It separates well, doesn't clump. But I didn't get much thickening or lengthening from it. It gave me a nice look, but more natural than I was expecting from something called "Buxom". I usually don't like this type of brush, but this one was nice to use. I have a terrible problem with getting the raccoon eye look under my eyes from nearly every mascara I try. This one is no exception, however it is much more minimal than most others. It's a nice enough mascara, but not one that would make me pay $18 for it or whatever it costs.
Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Tough as Taupe
andToto2 1/25/2012 9:09:00 AM
I thought the color looked nice in the pot, but do not like it at all once applied. It looks like a blue-gray on me, and just is not flattering at all. Definitely not what I consider to be taupe. It's a very flat look, too. I have tried applying with a brush and with my finger, and I haven't been able to get the look I want either way. It ends up a bit sheer, so I try to build it up, and, well, I just don't like it. I do get creasing with it. In trying to make it work, I am now applying different colors over it to try to make it workable for my skin tone, but I think it's going to end up in the trash. I don't know if I will try a different color. The shade selection is not that great, in my opinion, and I was disappointed in the formula itself. Edited to add: I hate this more and more. I tried it again today, and it is totally creased and faded within a few hours of applying. Just doesn't work for those of us with oily lids, I guess.
After all these years of searching, I finally found my "holy grail" foundation. I have used many high end and drugstore brands over the years, and none were quite right. Always a problem. I finally tried this because with my new job I needed something that would stand up to humidity, heat and long shifts where I have no time for touch-ups. I always was afraid to try it because some said it's too hard to remove and also because some say it looks mask-like. I bought it at Walgreen's because I knew then I could take it back if I hated it. I bought the normal/dry formula. In the summer I probably will try the oily/combination one, as my skin is much oilier in the summer. I love the coverage. It looks very natural on me. It blends very well. And my makeup looks the same many hours later as it did when I applied. I am using the same cleansers I used for any other foundation, and have no trouble with removal. I wish I had tried this years ago and saved myself a lot of money that I have wasted on foundations.
It's just ok. Not great, not bad, just average. It did last a long time, but I have never felt the urge to repurchase it, and I never will.
