Fragrances -Demeter - Black Russian
rated 5 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 12/24/2006 12:53:00 AM

I love this Demeter scent for its delicious yummy smell and lasting power that's actually not too bad . This one smells like chocolate milk and cream, something dark but also slightly sweet. If you like a good chocolaty scent like me, but don't want any orangyness messing it up, this one is wonderful.

Fragrances -Ayala Moriel - Finjan

This is a superb offering from Ayala that's positively intoxicating. Rich, darkly declicious and leaves you craving for more. I cannot seem to pry my nose away from my wrist where this scent keeps on and on... Lasting power is remarkable, and as the previous reviewer mentioned the scent is quite realistic. I LOVE this one!

Fragrances -Yves Rocher - Cantate
rated 5 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 12/11/2006 10:09:00 AM

I suppose that Cantate is either "I love it!" or "I hate it!" scent, although I honestly cannot see why. I sampled this in pure perfume and was surprised when I was met with the softest and gentlest sandalwood, not un-reminiscent of the sandalwood in Samsara, but even softer and more gentle. This fragrance whispers and caresses, and lasts a long time. I’m guessing it is yet another wonderful discontinued product from Yves Rocher – what a shame! Cantate is a scent I would most definitely re-purchase given a chance… but I know it would be next to impossible to find again. Edited only to add that, I think that Cantate would be as wonderful on a female as on a male... wonderfully unisex fragrance that is not citrus or ozonic in any way, something that many unisex scents used to have in common; but I've seen a reacent/fabulous move away from that with Bvlgari Black and Goultier2.

Fragrances -Alfred Dunhill Fragrances - Dunhill
rated 5 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 12/7/2006 2:36:00 PM

I love this fragrance on my husband. I love this fragrance period! In fact I love it so much that he wore it on our wedding day. He chose this one out of at least 60 other bottles he owns and anything else that's out there that he could have chosen from. We both love Dunhill and now it's even more special to us.

Fragrances -Chanel - Allure Sensuelle
rated 5 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 12/7/2006 2:18:00 PM

Allure Sensuelle is just that: Alluring and Sensual. From the moment I tested it I instantly knew that this was something I would enjoy for a long time, there’s not much of a guessing game with this one, you’ll either love it or you won’t. My DH loves it. My sister loves it. My co-workers love it. At the grocery store I get complimented on this fragrance, at the mall and at my hair-salon. Ok, so I think we’ve got a winner here, well, at least for me she is. I love the way it wraps around you, like a soft caressing shawl she stays close and warms you with her sweet breath. Allure Sensuelle has phenomenal staying power, fantastic sillage and makes me feel amazing whenever I have it on.

Fragrances -Guerlain - Too Much Champs Elysees
rated 3 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 12/7/2006 2:07:00 PM

I wore Champs Elysées, the original, about 10 years ago as one of my weekly rotation scents; this was back in the day when I owned only about 10 bottles of perfume. But I have to say that I've never received that many complements on any of my fragrances except maybe Samsara and Sun by Jil Sander at the time. Champs Elysées is so beautiful and passionate... I wore it for many years, then when 'Too Much Champs Elysées' came out I got a bottle of it instead of the original when I ran out, and for some reason the complements ceased to roll in. Even though I thought that Too Much was ‘identical’ to my original, (what did I know back then LOL), there was something missing and little by little, I almost forgot about my Champs Elysées original altogether. I also stopped wearing Too Much as well. It sort of got left behind. A little while ago I found the almost full bottle of Too Much and I remembered how much I loved and enjoyed the original Champs Elysées. Since then I’ve repurchased the original and I will not look back. I guess that Too Much just didn't work for me.

Fragrances -Guerlain - Aqua Allegoria Anisia Bella
rated 5 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 12/7/2006 1:51:00 PM

Aqua Allegoria Anisia Bella is indeed just a beautiful scent; a soft fragrance that packs a punch and would not back down from anything. Anisia Bella can stand up for herself in the worst and the best of times and gives off a vibe of self-control and elegance, not in a reserved way however, more in a way that shows a degree of self-confidence and pride. This is not an overtly sexy scent, but she can be sexy if she so chooses; she is sexy in a more subliminal and discrete way. Anisia Bella believes in herself.

Mascara -Lancome - Definicils Mascara
rated 5 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 12/6/2006 10:53:00 AM

I have naturally long eyelashes, (not overly long but I’m happy with them). They are not overly thick either, but I’ve got plenty and I could never complain. Now, what this mascara does is really incredible however, it makes my eyelashes look as though they were photo-shopped to go into a fashion magazine! I love the way it separates and makes them look even fuller, thicker, longer and more voluminous – this mascara is fantastic. It goes on very clean, never smudging, flaking or clumping: (I hate it when mascara clumps). The ease with which I can remove this at the end of the day was a deal sealer for me. It comes off without any difficulty, without leaving any streaks on my face or remnants on my lashes. The price for this ‘miracle’ is well worth what you get in the end.

Moisturizers -Nivea - Q10 Wrinkle control (day)
rated 5 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 11/29/2006 9:59:00 PM

I'm pretty disappointed in this Nivea product as I've learned over the years to expect more, in fact often the best and only that from Nivea company. However this particular product broke me out. I hardly ever break out, but this one did it. I found it pretty heavy on my skin, went on pretty think and made my make-up a little slidy... My make-up also never had any problems staying put... so this one is out... Surprisingly my DH loves the smell, too bad I will not be layering this on again. EDIT: Dec/12/06 This went from 3 lippies to 5 in no time. Not sure why I gave it another chance but I'm sure glad I did, the wonderful scent may have had something to do with it though. My skin must have gotten used to it, either that or for some reason I now need a little 'heavier' moisturizers in winter. It makes my skin glow but it does not make it look oily or shiny, and my make-up really looks great with this as a base once again. Now that I'm using it I think I'll gladly continue to, even though I've received my package of PTR all day moisurizer in mail today. I'll use Nivea for as long as I enjoy it the way I have within these past few weeks.

Fragrances -Too Faced - Love Hangover
rated 4 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 11/26/2006 12:32:00 AM

This is a wonderful fruity scent - one of my sisters favorites. Lemony, slightly grapefruity with a beautiful addition of blood orange; but this is not a citrus scent. There is a fabulous overlay of strawberries and raspberries mingling with musk that keep this from being tangy or overwhelming in any way. Love Hangover is simply delicious.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Strawberries and Champagne Spray
rated 2 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 11/26/2006 12:14:00 AM

Strawberries and Champagne is an awkward blend of the booziest notes I've ever smelled; these could never be accredited to champagne. There are no traces of strawberries anywhere in this fragrance, but there are jutting and weird boozy notes that smell a lot like a wooden table-top at a bar; where all kinds of alcohol were spilled on... stale beer and wine, spilled coffee and maybe some jam from the breakfast... not a good thing and most definitely not something I'd ever voluntarily wish to smells like. I'll pass.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Pear Glace
rated 4 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 11/25/2006 11:57:00 PM

Pear Glace is a musky pear but if you can imagine that in the best possible way :). Slightly green with whipped cream and vanilla powder sprinkled on top, Pear Glace is a perfect weekend scent for the summer.

Fragrances -Adrienne Vittadini - Adrienne Vittadini
rated 3 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 11/25/2006 11:50:00 PM

This is a cottony warm fragrance, that I've grown to have more respect for over the past year. It does have some slight similarity to Shalimar Light and I really enjoy that.

Fragrances -Adrienne Vittadini - AV
rated 2 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 11/25/2006 11:47:00 PM

AV smells just like soap... I tried it on and that is all I got... SOAP... So I guess it would be perfect for someone who loves that "fresh out of the shower smell", but for me a perfume should be a perfume and not a substitute for a shower on some level - I know that people who enjoy this type of scent are not using it as a substitute for a shower; that's just what it would make me feel like.

Fragrances -Yves Rocher - Neonatura Cocoon / Nature gives me its strength EDP
rated 5 of 5
Goddess_Dreams 11/25/2006 11:29:00 PM

I just adore this fragrance on my DH. I ordered a 5ml edp mini with a recent order at Yves Rocher and when it finally came in, (finally - after waiting for my order over 6 weeks - no joke!). I was so excited, having read all these reviews on here; but on me Cocoon was pinecones and pine-needles, very rough - no chocolate anywhere in sight. On my DH however, Neonatura Cocoon smells exactly the way Prada edp smells on me. We both love Prada, chocolaty and yummy on me, so we've been looking for something just like it for him - and now we've found it. Pure delight :). He has a full bottle on the way as I type this ;).
