Pressed Powders -BeneFit Cosmetics - Get Even
rated 5 of 5

If you have oily skin this just may become your fave powder. While the colors look a bit strange in the compact the yellow undertone does a phenom job of towning down any redness that develops throughout the day. It has a dry texture and smooth application, and wears well. Benefit packaging is usually so cute, but the packaging of this particular product is lacking - but of course we don't powder in public, right?

Self Tanners -Serious Skin Care - Bronze Tinted Self Tanner
rated 4 of 5

A+ from the self tanning, cancer phobic junkie. This makes the top ten list between price, scent, application and color. A great product for newbies, too, because you can see where you applied the color.

Stick with Ferragamo shoes. This fragrance smells clean, but has zero staying power.

Lips -Philosophy - Supernaturals
rated 4 of 5

I prefer this product to Benetint. The formulation is less watery, the application is somewhat smoother and the color is a *hint* warmer than the ghastly 80's fuschia that Benetint shows on my skin. I found the application and wear to be the same for both: a bit tricky and moderate stain, respectively.

Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Original Moisturizing Creme
rated 5 of 5
Crusty 1/19/2002 3:03:00 AM

Tried and true and my derm rec'd it for those with truly dry skin. For those who abhor vaseline on their feet or elbows, this is an alternative. There is no glam in Eucerin, it's not cutely packaged, doesn't smell yummy, and won't leave you any shimmer, but it truly works for dry, dry skin.

Lip Liners -Estee Lauder - Lip Defining Pencil in Spice
rated 5 of 5
Crusty 1/19/2002 3:00:00 AM

Spice is a great brown/pink shade that compliments many lipsticks. I sometimes will fill in my lips with this pencil and just use a gloss over it. I agree with MargaretD, it is very similar to EA Naturel liner! This is a warmer shade, with moderate pigment. A good 'your lips but better' shade for meduim to fair warmer toned users.

Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner (All Shades)
rated 3 of 5
Crusty 1/19/2002 2:54:00 AM

Not creaseless. Perhaps it's because it's greasy, perhaps because I have oily skin. I should know better than to buy a cream shadow, but I couldn't pass on Vixen - a gorgeous neutral plum shade. This may work for ladies with drier skin, but it didn't wear well on me.

Eye Shadow -BeneFit Cosmetics - Show Offs (all shades) [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5

This is a fun all purpose highlighter. I have suga and at first was a bit perplexed on how and where I wanted to apply it, but got over that issue quickly. Super points to BeneFit for these actually staying on and not getting all over my clothes and SO. Packaging here is a low point, it's messy, but all in all this is a fun 'try me'

Lip Treatments -BeneFit Cosmetics - Lip Plump
rated 1 of 5
Crusty 1/19/2002 2:48:00 AM

OK, so do we really think that we can get fuller lips without a lip augmentation or injections? Of course not. Illusion will work to some extent, but no product will physically give you fuller lips - and Lip Plump is no exception. A friend (generously? ha) gave me her tube and...and...well, yuck. It tastes bad. I was actually patient (and optimistic) enough to follow the directions and let it dry thoroughly, yet is still made my lippie look somewhat chalky. BeneFit can't even earn points for packaging on this one. Pass.

Polishes -Creative Nail Design - Desert Rose Nail Polish
rated 4 of 5
Crusty 1/19/2002 2:42:00 AM

I bought this and several other colors in mini bottles, and this color is phenom - it's a neutral berry with a hint of warmth. Matches Lancome's Hanky Panky or MAC Cherish lipsticks perfectly!

Polishes -Creative Nail Design - Nail Polish

On tori's rec, I picked up a bottle of Creative and used it for my weekly manicure. Four days later, my nails still look incredible with only a slight chip at the tip or my right index finger, and that's to be expected! Smaller color selection, but great formulation and wear!

Lip Liners -Paula Dorf - Lip Pencil

I agree, with the review below. The texture is a bit dry, but the pigment - wow! What a great stain! This lasted all day on me long after my lipstick was gone (I color in my lips) and I was really pleased!

Highlighters -Stila - All Over Shimmer - Body
rated 4 of 5
Crusty 1/16/2002 2:49:00 AM

This comes in two colors. Silver (7) and Gold (8). I have the silver to match the AOS powder that made me look somewhat corpse-like. The body shimmer, however, is gorgeous and applies smoothly and lasts for hours. It gets on your clothes like any other, but is not the worst offender. Generously sized bottle, and a little goes a long way! I would live to know of a less expensive equal!

Loose Powders -Bare Escentuals - Mineral Veil
rated 5 of 5
Crusty 1/14/2002 9:51:00 PM

Packaging gets no points, but the powder more than makes up for it. I'm very oily and this drier textured powder makes my skin look phenomenal - matte (but not too matte) and even! Also, there is no added shimmer or shine like many other loose powders.

Lip Gloss -Naturistics - Miss Kiss Lip Gloss Pen
rated 5 of 5

I rec'd this from MargaretD and am positively in love. I have it in Baby Doll and it tastes yummy with the sheerest hint of pale pink that wears on for hours! Not greasy at all, and the packaging and the click/brush dispenser is cool, cool, cool.
