Lipstick -NARS - Belle De Jour
xjslx 6/2/2009 12:40:00 AM
a great everyday nude/beige color, not too washed out looking but still enough to be nude, i wear it the most to work, haven't wanted to exchange it for anything else. i would suggest this lippie, and i would even repurchase. yes, a bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it imo.... the formula is really good, not dry and not overly creamy.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Mineralize Eyeshadow in Family Silver
xjslx 6/2/2009 12:28:00 AM
Wow.. this is a very beautiful shadow duo... i'm surprised by the negative ratings. i got this at my local CCO for $15, and i don't regret it one bit! i layered this over my dark grey/black e/s and it totally gave it a pizazz... love the outcome. love this duo a lot, will probably go and grab another one for back up. UPDATE: went to get a backup and they were all sold out :(

Lipstick -Shu Uemura - BG 906
xjslx 6/2/2009 12:26:00 AM
This is a true nude/beige color with really no pink or peach hues on it... i have pinkish/red lips (way more red than pink), and this l/s has the ability to nearly mute out my lips. This is probably a tie between myth for me, as i gave away myth to my mom, and i don't feel the urge to repurchase since i have this l/s. The formula is quite creamy but not too much so (i still need lipgloss with this), and not drying like mac l/s. ps. i'm a fair-medium skintone with cool/warm undertones (more warm than cool), black hair and black/brown eyes asian

Makeup Brushes -Ulta - Professional Series Stippling Brush
xjslx 5/24/2009 7:11:00 PM
awesome brush, of course i want the 187 but that thing is just wayyyyy too expensive, and this seems to do the trick for me in terms of foundation -- the outcome of stippling on my foundation with this brush is flawless.. i honestly don't need the 187 now, but would like to get it just so i can say that i have it (hehe). in terms of applying my MSF's however i think my contouring brush does a better job... not sure if it's just stippling brushes in general or just specifically this Ulta one (b/c MUA swears that the 187 applies MSF's like a dream), but i feel that when applying MSF with this brush i can barely see it on my face? =/ got this brush for $20 w/ my 20% off coupon -- great investment, i've washed it several times now and it hasn't shed at all (at least not that i've noticed!).

Primer/ Corrector -Fyrinnae - Velvet-Gel Silica Primer
xjslx 5/18/2009 12:37:00 AM
ECHO WHAT EVERYONE ELSE SAID. I am super oily and this primer is so good at mattifying that my normally soaked oil blotting sheet at noon was barely picking up any oil on my face.... what a miracle! and so far my face has not reacted to this, great product. i hope it continues like this... if it does, this will always be a HG!!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Woodwinked - veluxe pearl
xjslx 5/15/2009 12:41:00 AM
really love this color, it's a very unique light goldish shade with a hidden brown undertone i think (at least on me), i really like how it makes my eyes pop in a sort of golden-goddessy kind of way... btw, i'm a fair-medium in EM, cool undertones...

Eye Shadow -NYX - Eyeshadow *ES18 Sahara
xjslx 5/4/2009 3:21:00 PM
wow, great shadow for a steal of a price... true the color looks bleh in the pan, but when u sweep it on u see how it looks like ur lid color but better, and it brightens up the eye area... it's makes a difference, but it isn't noticeable, which is great in the morning for work when u don't have time for blending and all that crap, but u don't want ur lids to look discolored either... i would rebuy for sure!

Blush -NARS - The Multiple in St. Barts
xjslx 4/20/2009 7:34:00 PM
Love this.. been lemming forever finally got it from sephora per the 15% sale.. hehe. it's a toned down version of bronzer, imo, i can either use this alone for a subtle sculpted look, or use it in conjunction w/ sculpting powder... either way i like it... will have a lot of product to last for a long time so i'm happy about that! UPDATE 8/26/09: Alright, so I ended up swapping this away because the color would turn muddier on me by the end of the day, and b/c I have oily skin, the pigment sort of "slid off" in a sense by the day's end as well... all in all, it didn't stay consistent throughout the entire day. I would recommend that oily skinned people stay away from this.

Lip Liners -Cargo - Reverse Lipliner
xjslx 4/20/2009 2:09:00 AM
thank u mua for leading me to a great product that i wouldn't have found on my own once again -- this lipliner as an eyeliner for my waterline is awesome... i tried a handful of white liners from various brands on my sephora trip this weekend, and every single one of them looked ghastly and noticeable on my eyes, can't image wearing any of them out in public w/out getting weird stares. so i suddenly remembered a thread on the message board about this liner... and it was on the money, goes great on the waterline, color brightens the eye but is not noticeably, looks natural but still there... does that make sense? anyways, i've been using it for the last 2 days and i'm definitely satisfied.. <3

Palettes -Ben Nye - 12 color grand lumiere
xjslx 4/12/2009 11:42:00 PM
i stalked this product online for awhile before actually taking the plunge and getting it... and now that i got it, there is not one bit of regret whatsoever... i'm in love!! the colors are truly pigmented, and i can see lots of possibilities and fun using these colors for future looks. i still have to master using it wet, b/c when i tried to today it didn't come out as good as dry (which isn't usual)... i encourage everyone to get this palette! --and their blushes are awesome also--

Blush -Ben Nye - Cool Pink
xjslx 4/8/2009 12:09:00 AM
Awesome color... was hesitant to get it at first b/c it's sometimes a hit and miss when u order colors online w/out trying it, but this color was pretty much right on the dot of what i wanted and expected. it is a hottish, lightish pink that remind's me of a barbie bubble-gum pink, but subtle enough to wear out even during day time (if u have fair skin)... it is a really good color. the price is unbeatable (i got it for $6.75) its a good amount that can't be finished for years and years, AND the pigmentation is freaking wonderful. LOVE it... i wish there were stores that sold ben nye! then i could at least test the other colors =(
