Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous - Life's a Peach [DISCONTINUED]

Great lipgloss! This is my third color from this line and I love them all. I would say this applies as a slightly sheer peachy coral color. I love the look with bronzed skin, peach cheeks and a soft smoky eye. I don't find any smell with this product and the stickiness is very minimal--I would say no more than any other lipgloss I've tried. Great for the price!

Lipstick -New York Color - 309B Sheer Red

LOVE! I love red lipstick and have been wearing NARS Indian Red for quite some time. That color is very dark however, and I feel is more appropriate for the winter months. I was looking for a red I could wear in the summer and this fit the bill! This is a gorgeously pigmented, moisturizing, blue-based red. I have brown hair and green eyes and am NC25-35 for reference. This is a gorgeous red if you are looking for a true red with no orange.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous lipgloss in Glossy Rose [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5

This color is captivating! It comes across as a mid-toned pink with a little gold/peach hue. I have light brown hair, medium/olive skin, and green eyes and it looks really lovely. This is my third gloss from Revlon; I have Life's a Peach and Foiled as well and I love this one just as much as the others. The formula is shiny and glossy and I don't find it sticky at all. The staying power is great too. I applied this in the morning and it's almost noon now, and the color is still very apparent.

Fragrances -Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle
rated 5 of 5

LOVE. I originally smelled this perfume from a magazine sample and wasn't sure if I liked it or not. So, I went to Macy's and got a generous sample from the assistant and wore it for a couple weeks. My husband absolutely loved it and he ended up buying it for me for Mother's Day. I would say this is not overpowering at all, just a nice sophisticated scent. Does not smell like an old lady like some of the other Chanel fragrances. I really love this and have been wearing it every day! For reference, other perfumes I love are Lolita Lempicka and Flowerbomb.

Shampoo -TRESemme - Anti-Breakage Shampoo
rated 1 of 5
vgirlygirl 5/4/2010 3:28:00 PM

Really disappointed in this product. I have pretty dry hair due to coloring and I thought this would be a great product to help my ends not look as ragged. I was wrong. First, this shampoo is very runny and I could barely get it to lather. Second, I really dislike that this is a huge, heavy bottle and it doesn't come with a pump. Finally, my hair was more tangly, dry, and felt like hay after I used this product. I will definitely not repurchase.

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque
rated 2 of 5

I am trying to be fair to this product, because I really did want to love it after all the good reviews on MUA and youtube. However, I tried it for the first time last night and this morning I have several large red bumps near my nose that hurt and are very sore. I've never had cystic acne, but maybe that's what it gave me. I liked the consistency of the product, and the little tub is handy, and I did not mind the smell. Additionally, I did feel like my face looked squeaky clean and was not dried out. BUT, I feel like it may have been the cause of my breakouts because I didn't do anything differently with my skincare or makeup routine, except for this. Once this acne is gone, I will give it another try, but I'm very skeptical at this point. I would not repurchase.

Polishes -Essie - Body Language
rated 5 of 5

Great color! I would describe this as a milky gray. It's light and I'm able to reach the opacity I want with two coats. This is a great neutral and it flatters my NC25, olive toned skin.

Polishes -Sephora - Sephora by OPI Metro Chic

LOVE this color! I wear this probably once a week, and have been for the last 3 months or so. I absolutely love this color on my NC25 skintone. I would describe this as a grayish purple and is very muted and moody. I have never used this on my toes, only my fingers, but I get compliments every time I do. I always use two coats--one coat applies too light and streaky.

Blush -MAC - Beauty Powder Blush in Stark Naked (Red, She Said) [DISCONTINUED]

Oh wow, I love this! I received this in a swap and had been wanting it after watching a youtuber raving about it. The color looks a little scary in the pan--kind of a light plum with gold shimmer. Once you apply it though it is the perfect mauve color that really makes your face glow. This color is perfect on my NC35 skintone. LOVELY!

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous in Foiled
rated 5 of 5
vgirlygirl 4/22/2010 12:58:00 PM

Great lipgloss! I really like the Revlon Superlustrous lipglosses because they are not sticky at all and I think they have great staying power. I picked up Foiled after a youtuber recommended it and I couldn't be happier. I would describe this is a nude-bronze color that looks amazing with a coral cheek and bronzed skin. I'm NC35 for reference.

Self Tanners -Unlisted Brand - tanwise mousse
rated 5 of 5
vgirlygirl 4/20/2010 1:56:00 PM

LOVE LOVE LOVE this product! After being a tanning bed girl, I decided to stop abusing my body and start using self tanner. I have tried all the drugstore brands, and after seeing a review for this on Youtube, decided to try it. I bought it at my local Sally's beauty supply for about $7 with coupon. It is a dark-tinted foam that you apply to exfoliated and moisturized skin. That is the key step if you are getting streaking. I've never had streaking with this product and I use it every other day all over my body and face. I've never broken out from this product either. I don't notice any lasting smell, and because it's tinted, it's very easy to see where you have applied it. I just apply each section of my body with my hands and wash immediately after every section. This is HG material!

Love this product! I have to admit though I only wear it on my toes. For some reason it looks a little off on my fingers, but on my toes it is a gorgeous bright coralish-red. Too cute! Perfect for rockin those open toed shoes in Summertime.

Treatments -Redken - All Soft HEAVY CREAM
rated 5 of 5
vgirlygirl 4/19/2010 12:38:00 PM

As a loyal Redken follower, I was very unhappy with this product. My only positive comment is that it smells nice. It did not make my hair shinier or softer and I'm not sure why. I've used the All Soft shampoo's and conditioner's before and really liked them. I'm not sure what it is about this product but I was not impressed. Luckily, I got a sample size from Rite-Aid, because I would not purchase this. UPDATE****My above review was for a small sample size. I have since purchased the full bottle and I LOVE IT. I saw that another MUA reviewer said their sample size was awful as well, but loved the full size bottle and I agree. Not sure why the sample size is not well formulated, but I have repurchased the full size bottle twice now and it's HG.

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
rated 4 of 5
vgirlygirl 4/16/2010 1:12:00 PM

Wow, great product for oily skin! I have oily skin and generally have to blot about 3 times a day. Not so with this powder. It never looks cakey or powdery like my Make Up Forever HD powder can. I definitely prefer this powder over the HD, especially for the price. I took off one lippie because I have only been using this for a few days and am not sure how my skin will react during the long run. The only thing I dislike about this product is the packaging. It's got a weird twisty lid and the powder puff is underneath the actual powder. It's not a big deal, but the packing could use some improvement. Overall, great product and I would definitely repurchase.

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
rated 5 of 5
vgirlygirl 4/16/2010 12:37:00 PM

Note: This product is not discontinued everywhere; I just purchased this last week at my local Kmart. I think this is a great mascara. I have very sparse, short lashes and I actually kind of use this mascara as a primer before using my Maybelline Colossal Volume mascara. Full n' Soft does a great job of separating my lashes and making them very dark before I use the Colossal Volume to make them thicker. These two mascaras are a great combination if you are needing to both lengthen and volumize your lashes. I would definitely repurchase.
