Lips -Shiseido - Sheer Gloss Lipstick in Tint Berry
rated 5 of 5

i m into dark berry shades so i bought this without first trying it on and i can say it's been my best bet so far. it looks like very dark almost like black from the tube but on the lips it's a beautiful healthy sheer berry. i have black hair and pale skin and this looks amazing on me. it looks just as great if not better after blotting, gives lips an incredibly smooth texture and a sexy stain. love it to bits!

Palettes -Stila - Stila Shimmer Eye Palette
rated 3 of 5
suelll 9/9/2005 1:28:00 AM

i thk the shadows in this palette are somehow softer than the ones in their singles. maybe it's just me but i use my squirrel es brush on it and the colors came out in chunks. the only way i can make sure i dont over do on this is to press the brush very gently to get a even layer on the brush. geez..it has never happened before to my other stila or mac shdows. i personally find all the shades to be too shimmery for me, even to just highlight the brow bone. too much of shimmer and not enough of the color and i feel the last 3 shades look just like kitten. but it's a nice palette to have if u really love kitten and want to have a slight variation but once on it's hard to tell apart. the case is sturdy and comes with a mirror which is great.

Eye Shadow -Agnes B. - Eye shadows

i got this in parme argente as an extra from the most generous muaer. it's lilac and shimmery, very pigmented, not particularly soft in fact the surface looked a bit hardened bcos of time? or something in the ingredients becoming oxidized? however this is only the physical look of the product, when using a brush to apply it comes off and onto the brush easily and it has stayed put the whole day, no creasing whatsoever! if i get the chance i might buy this in another color because it's not expensive.

Cleansers -Sisley - Buff and Wash Botanical Face Gel
rated 4 of 5
suelll 8/22/2005 1:36:00 AM

if i didnt have a sample to try first and only had the reviews here to judge this product i most probably wouldnt spend so much on a facial scrub. but good thing i did and i m loving it ! i have tried a few ds brands, EL so polished, ptr botanical buffing beads, shiseido warming pore scrub, dermalogica daily microfoliant but always have to endure tiny zits like breakouts in exchanged of a polished face. i stopped scrubbing all together, enough is enough. i stumbled upon sisley after getting the sisleya eye/lip cream which btw is a great product. i m gonna rave about this soon but lets get back to the botanical face gel. i have been using the sample for >7 times every morning and it really does brighten and clarify the skin. no break outs so far as u can guess by now that i have sensitive skin, no blackheads too except on the nose. feels gritty and harsh on the skin but i tone w grapefruit toner afterwards so i dont know if that made any difference to the functionality of this product. i truly believe that this is the product that has prolonged my facial breaks as facials to me are becaming expensive, painful and time consuming. i might be the oddball here but it's no joke that i wished i never have to go for one ever again! will buy again. UPDATE: been told not to use anymore harsh exfoliating agents like scrubs, so did not repurhase this one such a shame tho.
UPDATE #2:
I got the mini tube of this for being a sisley member and i must say how it has helped in clearing my skin of any flakies and uneveness. i always use a toner after using this gel as it doenst foam at all and i feel unfinished therefore i use guerlain's purifying iris toner which works just as good as the floral toning lotion. i am once again on a sisley high recently esp since seeing the results. i would recommend using their masks at night after using this in the morning, they seem to work well as a system. i skip this product whenever i have redness. i seriously consider getting the full tube once my mini is done but it's sooooo $$$$! UPDATE #4: I finally got the full sized tube, you only need so little once a day it should last at least 6 months at least i hope so. Never turning back again!

Lip Gloss -Bourjois - Effet 3-D Glossy Lipstick Beige Theoric 16
rated 5 of 5
suelll 7/29/2005 1:12:00 AM

Love it, love it, love it! I can't stop looking at my lips with this gloss on. It completely melts onto my lips making them look smooth and even coloured. it's pigmented enough and doesnt come with shimmer nor does it dry ur lips like some other lip glosses yay! My YLBB definitely and right now i dont want to be without this, ever! i wish it would come unscented and with a slightly wider brush. i know the thin brush can make precise application easier but sometimes i just want to slap an even layer on my lower lips and smack them lips together to get a coat just nice. i hate to say it but it does leave a funny taste too. but i will get more for the price, yes!

Masks -Peter Thomas Roth - Cucumber Gel Masque
rated 4 of 5
suelll 7/28/2005 1:05:00 AM

I have the same jar for almost 2 years, i used it from time to time and sometimes even leave it over night, yucks..i know it was a trial and error sorta like a learning process using this product. it seriously is a must have right after a facial extraction, it did some wonderful job for my face when it was peeling in the most hideous ways. from the usual 4 - 5 days of recovery it only took 2 days for my skin to completely heal. the result is unbelievable. i suppose dry, sunburned skin would benefit from this. a no-no for oilies, it wont harm u or cause break-out but would totally waste ur money bcos it isnt cheap, so spending ur money on another mask would be wiser. u need to have a skin condition for this mask to work. if u already have great skin and wants to mantain it, this should not be ur choice for the same reason mentioned above. and yes, i will be repurchasing this soon.

Loose Powders -Jurlique - Silk Dust
rated 5 of 5
suelll 7/13/2005 5:16:00 AM

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I cannot say enough how amazing i thought this powder was the first time i used it. I had to buy both because i simply could not decide as they both smelled heavenly. I find it best to apply using fingers after dispensing some on a dry palm, it's had to imagine doing it if u know what i mean, so used to applying powder using a puff or brush. it really does reveal ur actual skin like u have not put on makeup. i didnt need to blot the whole day and the look is naturally matte. don't be put off by its chalky appearance, it dissappears the moment it touches the skin. A must try.

Cleansers -Shu Uemura - Cleansing Beauty Oil Balancer
rated 2 of 5
suelll 6/14/2005 11:36:00 PM

I have used all the 4 types rich, light, original and premium but that is beside the point because the formula just didn't work for me. well, at one point it did do a beautiful job at removing all m/u completely. You are suppose to use cotton pads dabbed with the oil to remove eye/lip makeup but even after doing that it still gives my eyes problems. After repeated washing even with another cleanser, if it gets into ur eyes, it sorta stays there very stubbornly. I tried to get over that and continue using it as a pm cleanser but alas my skin coulndt take the oil in it and broke out after a severe case of clogged pores. You will need a really really good cleanser to get all of the mineral oil off tho it claims to dissolve in contact with water. If you are sensitive to oily products, don't start with this.

Cleansers -Aesop - Fabulous Face Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
suelll 6/14/2005 10:48:00 PM

Generally I like this product because it cleanses without stripping and it smells great. I have normal, oily T-zone skin so I use this alone in the morning only if I have used a light night moisturizer before. If you are very oily or prefer the tight feeling you get when your face is too clean then this is not for you. A nice addition to my skincare routine and I can see myself getting the amazing cleanser as an alternative for two out of seven times a week or when I feel there is build up on my skin/oily. Bottle can be a little tricky to use especially with wet hands, i would prefer a pump but it's a nice looking bottle. Totally zen my bathroom.

Cleansers -Aesop - Purifying Facial Cream Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
suelll 6/14/2005 10:35:00 PM

OMG! How can anyone complain about the "natural" smell that comes with this fantastic cleanser. It's absolutely the best working cleanser I have ever used. It removes face makeup and eye shadow effortlessly, not too sure about mascara tho as I prefer to first remove with Shiseido's Gentle Cleasing Lotion on a cotton pad. To get the best results, use a spatula and scoop out a pea-sized amount of product and massage on dry face with clean and slightly wet fingers. After massaging for about 30secs, product will become dry, then add a few drops of water on both hands and massage for another 30 secs. Rinse thoroughly with tepid water. Cold water wont work as well. around 30-35C is perfect. During winter it's probably OK to do without a second cleanser as it leaves your face perfectly cleansed and soft and almost dewy fresh. Just tone and moisturize. For those of us living in the tropical part of earth, summer time, or those with oily T-zone....massage fabulous (normal/combo) or amazing (oily) facial cleanser on dry face with wet fingers. Repeat as above. Voila! Tone and moisturize. See what I mean that it gives you option, depending on how your skin is acting. I love it and I keep the original jar in the fridge and use a smaller jar at the sink. I went out and bought the full size jars after trying out their samples. About the 'unpleasant' smell, it won't bother you much after using it for a while.

Loose Powders -Shu Uemura - Face Powder Matte in Colorless
rated 3 of 5
suelll 6/2/2005 12:43:00 AM

Works like a charm with a velour puff or any puffy puffs like the one shiseido makes which i think is heavenly. It really does what it says, gives you a matte, soft-focus look. Can be drying if used too much on smile lines. Use a good foundation and you get better results. Works great with Shu's WaterPerfect Foundation. I will repurchase, value for money. edit*~* i have stopped from using this a while back and after coming back to it today and by god, i looked like a ghost. it's not colorless as how i used to be believe it was. and i thought it also highlighted fine lines and simply made me looked casperish. 2 lippies off but now i m stuck with the colorless pressed powder compact too which i just remembered i still keep.

Sunscreen -Avene - Avene Gel Creme SPF20
rated 3 of 5
suelll 6/2/2005 12:37:00 AM

I got the oil-free matifying one so not exactly sure if this is the right place to post this. Anyways, it gives a nice matte finish which will only be apparent after 30 minutes. It looks shiny and oily at first but as mentioned it becomes matte later. On contact with water or sweat it gives a whitish tint and looks really gross esp if you wear this with formail office attire. so unprofessional and too sporty looking I m afraid. Maybe it goes well with a layer of foundation on top but it's hard to do it in the morning when it is still so wet/oily, didnt want to be late for work and risk the foundation running, slidding or their formulae totally crash with each other. What I like about it is with a light brush of loose powder( i use T. Leclerc's Camelia) over T-zone, and no sweating, it remains quite matte throuhout the day without the use of blotting paper at all. Unlike LM's tinted moisturizer which becomes a slick of oil on me by noon. I won't repurchase because it's not sweat resistant and the high price for such a product.

This one will get rid of the sticky feeling I get from using it's lavender cleanser. It's an OK product, didnt really do anything I particularly dislike nor did it do any wonders. it's just a I can live without product if you know what i mean.. won't repurchase.

Thank god I sampled this first before deciding if I should buy it since my deepsea water was running low. It stung my eyes, no, it blinded me for a few good minutes! Even tears couldnt help clear it, I had to literally drain out the product with facial tissues. What an episode! Always try samples before buying, you just never know when something is going to be this bad for your skin. I'll just stick to my bottle of evian or avene...

Cleansers -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Therapeutic Lavender Facial Wash
rated 3 of 5

I was generally dissapointed when I used this product for the first time. After it's glycerin soap I was expecting a lot but alas it's just a neutrogena result product. Though I must say that it has a pleasant scent of lavender which I totally go crazy for. Besides that nothing about it appeals to me, after washing I still feel like there is a lot of product left on my face that somehow splashes and splashes of water just cant get rid off. I won't repurchase now that I have switched to Aesop's fabulous cleanser.
