Lipstick -Skinfood - Vita Tok

Good quality lipstick. I have the shade PK05 Dipsy Pink, which is a medium slightly peachy based pink. The formula is enriched with Vitamin A,C and E, not to mention Macadamia Nut oil extract. It glides onto my lips easily and feels very hydrating. Gives a glossy finish yet despite that, I find the lasting power to be fairly decent. They have about 10 shades available. It's pigmented but not too bright, although you can build it up to your liking depending on whether you want a sheer wash of colour or a nice pop of colour.

Highlighters -Unlisted Brand - Hera - Multi Shimmering Pact
rated 1 of 5
realpeak 6/16/2011 7:26:00 AM

Terrible quality product. It is nothing but silver chunky pieces of glitter. I thought a brand like Hera would produce much better things than this! Not blendable, fall out glitter all over my face, clogs my pores, makes me look like I've basically slathered glue over my face then rolled around in a kids arts & crafts box. I now just use this on my eyes in the inner tear-ducts or lower lashline. Packaging is very cheap too.

Masks -Laneige - Water Sleeping Pack
rated 2 of 5
realpeak 6/16/2011 7:05:00 AM

Wanted to love this because of all the rave reviews but it broke me out in red pimples all along my forehead and cheeks. It's fragranced and contains irritating ingredients for my skintype which is too much for my sensitive skin. I only used a small amount on my face, about a dime size, but it feels quite sticky and tacky which I don't like. My face was left nice and soft though (I'm guessing because of the silicones) , but not worth it for the breakouts and irritation it causes. INGREDIENTS: Water, Butylene Glycol, Cyclomethicone, Glycerin, Trehalose, Alcohol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Vaccinium Angustifolium (blueberry) Fruit Extract, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone, Ammonium, Acryloyldimethy Itaurate/Vp Copolymer, Polysorbate 20, Triethanolamine, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Carborner, Mannitol, Arginine, Serine, Sucrose, PCA, Citrulline, Glycogen, Histidine, HCL, Alanine, Threonine, Glutamic Acid, Lysine HCI, Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, Calcium Gluconate, Copper Gluconate, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Sodium Chondroitine Sulfate, Atelocollagen, Beta-Glucan, Disodium Edta, Imidazolidinyl, Urea, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Fragrance, Blue 1 Yellow 5.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - PINK with a Splash- Soft and Dreamy
rated 4 of 5

I absolutely adore this body spray! I was previously using Warm & Cosy which I liked at first but then the slight mint smell it had started to put me off and make me feel a little ill. I purchased this at the duty free store at £12 for 250ml, a good deal but a little annoying seeing as it's only $15 in the US! Anyway, people have been saying this smells a lot like Pink Sugar and I agree! Pink Sugar smelt awful on me, it had some sour licorice note that just totally turned me off...this is everything I wanted PS to be. It's sweet but not in a sickly fruity sort of way. It has notes of pink meringue and vanilla whipped cream...I definately think that sums up this scent. I spray it all over my skin and clothes - lasting power on the skin isn't that good but it lasts all day long on my clothes. It is also supposed to be moisturizing for your skin as it has aloe and chamomile, which is nice because my skin can get dry sometimes. Really love this body spray and it gets me lots of compliments, especially from guys! I'm going to try and purchase another one.

Lip Treatments -Carmex - EZ-ON APPLICATOR
rated 4 of 5
realpeak 6/15/2011 6:11:00 AM

I love this. Not only does it make my lips feel really soft, smooth and hydrated - it also makes them look amazingly plump and sexy! Always get compliments on my lips when I wear this hehe. It gives a slight gloss but isn't sticky. After it wears off my lips feel very soft and there are no dry flakes or anything. Great stuff.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - sesame oil
rated 4 of 5
realpeak 6/11/2011 9:17:00 PM

I use sesame oil as a pre-cleanser/cleansing oil and it works great! Better than olive or coconut oil. I just massage it into my face and wipe off with some cotton pads, then wash my face with my normal cleanser. It takes off all my surface makeup and leaves my skin so soft and smooth. Doesn't break me out or dry out my skin like most cleansing oils end up doing. I also use it occasionally as a hair masque and it makes my hair all silky and shiny

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
rated 4 of 5
realpeak 6/9/2011 12:10:00 PM

I hate all of MAC's foundations, powders and TM's (they all break me out) but this one is actually okay. I don't wear it everyday so I don't notice it giving me any breakouts. I use the shade NC35 although I am actually an NC37 because I find the shades run a little orangey...I tried 4 colours before finding a good match! It does oxidise a little so I feel more comfortable using NC35 as it then adjusts itself to my natural skintone. I only ever apply with a duo fibre brush like the 187, anything else and the coverage looks to heavy and cakey. I just apply a little bit and it evens out my skintone and masks any redness. Doesn't look 'fake' or like I've slapped my makeup on at all. If you use too much it will look awful though so be aware and use a light hand. It lasts a good couple of hours and doesn't get oily on my combo skin. I've tried many powders from Dior to BE and everything else inbetween but this one is probably the best of the lot.

Pressed Powders -MAC - Blot Powder
rated 4 of 5
realpeak 6/8/2011 10:32:00 AM

I use blot powder in medium dark for my NC35/37 skintone. I have combo skin and it controls my oils really well, I don't have to blot or touch-up all day. Doesn't look heavy or cakey unless you apply too much. It's a good quality powder and worth the price IMO.

Lips -Nivea - A Kiss of Milk and Honey
rated 4 of 5
realpeak 6/8/2011 5:10:00 AM

I saw this in Sainbury's for £2.99 and was enticed by the name 'milk and honey'...because I'm a sucker for anything mentioning milk or honey! It's pretty pricey for a lipbalm IMO but the tube lasts ages so I can't really complain. It leaves my lips so plump and soft after using. However, I don't think it is good for chapped or really dry lips. If your lips are in pretty good condition and just feel a little dry then this is great. It doesn't feel too waxy or heavy on my lips unless I apply too much. Works well under lipsticks. I like it!

Conditioner -Palmers - Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Repairing Conditioner
rated 2 of 5
realpeak 6/7/2011 11:22:00 AM

This conditioner left my hair feeling coated and looking dull. The smell is too strong and I ended up hating after 2 uses! You get a big bottle and it's not that expensive but it didn't leave my hair feeling soft or looking shiny. Didn't like it.

Loose Powders -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Loose Powder
rated 1 of 5
realpeak 6/7/2011 10:47:00 AM

I didn't see the hype over this at all. It did nothing for oil control - the MAC one works much better at that. This one seemed to actually MAKE my skin greasy...note that I have normal skin. Also it breaks me out like crazy! I saw some other people on the MU board saying how this made them break out, I thought it was just me! Lots of red pimples across my forehead and cheeks whenever I use this. I didn't get that 'soft focus' finish to my skin after using that some people talk about either. Overpriced and underdelivered.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Espresso
rated 4 of 5
realpeak 6/7/2011 10:45:00 AM

I use Espresso mainly to fill in my brows (works well - I have very dark brows) but I also occasionally use as a crease colour too. It is ever so slightly red but barely noticeable. It can be a little difficult to blend but with a bit of patience can work very well.

Cleansers -InnisFree - green tea pure cleansing foam
rated 2 of 5
realpeak 6/7/2011 10:43:00 AM

As mentioned in some of my other reviews, I've noticed all Korean-Brand cleansers (Laneige, Hera, Etude, Innisfree etc...) contain lots of acids, particularly myristic acid (sp) which can be bad for sensitive and acne-prone skin. They seem to prefer acids whilst Western cleansers prefer sulfates. Either way - my skin likes neither of this. After using this cleanser my skin was left feeling dry and tight, like every ounce of moisture had been sucked from my skin. It did foam easily and removed makeup residue fantastically but it's not worth it for the dryness it gave me. I also got pimples on my forehead after a few weeks of using this. Didn't like it.

Moisturizers -Shiseido - Pureness Moisturizing Gel-Cream
rated 1 of 5
realpeak 6/7/2011 10:39:00 AM

I too did not enjoy this moisturizer. It was my first Shiseido product so I was excited to try it, but in all honesty it just put me off the whole line from the start. After about 2 weeks my skin was left very dry, flaking, and I could see fine lines forming on my forehead! It glides on beautifully at first and left a cooling sensation on my skin but after a few weeks it felt like it was providing no moisture whatsoever, and my skin was breaking out in cysts all over. The fragrance is very strong and does indeed smell like alcohol with some added perfume. I finished up the whole jar and by the end my skin was just in dreadful condition. Reading through the ingredients list that was on this site I can see why my skin didn't like it as I cannot tolerate Alcohol Denat or cornstarch. Never again would I repurchase.

Blush -MAC - Matte Blush - Darkly My Dear
rated 4 of 5
realpeak 6/7/2011 10:35:00 AM

I don't usually wear these sort of colours but I do happen to find myself liking this blush, especially for the fall and winter months! It gives a soft dusty reddish mauve flush on me that can be built up easily. Texture is smooth and blendable. I hope they re-release this with another collection some day.
