Skincare - Body -Paula's Choice - Silk Mist Dry Oil Spray
ocicat 11/4/2006 6:03:00 AM
I got this product coz i was looking for a dry oil spray that would add sheen to my skin (moistruriser doesnt coz it gets absorbed). it doesnt contain fragrance but has natural vanilla smell from vanilla extract (non skin irritating) - i like that. it adds the sheen that i'm after and isnt too greasy or heavy, which is also good. i dont spray it on my skin coz its a bit hard to control. instead, i spray into my palm and rub it on. the nozzle gets a bit oily and messy after a while though.

Lotions/ Creams -Paula's Choice - Weightless Body Treatment with 2% BHA
ocicat 11/4/2006 4:59:00 AM
have been using this for a yr or two now and love it. use it on my face (not around eyes) esp nose and chin coz BHA is better for unclogging pores. i use the AHA lotion on legs- AHA is better for dry skin and ingrown hairs. this is more gentle than the AHA which can sting esp after shaving and on irritated skin. not fragranced or coloured. great!

Lotions/ Creams -Paula's Choice - RESIST Skin Revealing 10% AHA Lotion
ocicat 11/4/2006 4:57:00 AM
i've been using this stuff for abt 2 yrs and love it. i use it after every shower (or alternate it with ordinary moistriser). it keeps my skin bump-free and reduces ingrown hairs. the smell doesnt bother me much- its a bit sour, but thats coz she chose not to add over powering fragrance to cover up the natural smell. i even use it on my face sparingly (her products are ok to use on body and face, as long as u avoid sensitive areas eg around eyes). i didnt realise how much a difference this stuff makes until a few months ago when i stopped using it and used normal msoitruiser. then all my ingrown bumps came back. since then, i've used it religiously!

Treatments -Paula's Choice - Super Antioxidant Concentrate
ocicat 11/4/2006 4:52:00 AM
i've been using this stuff for a few yrs now and its one of my staples. in fact, its one of the few products i use (my skin care regimen is simple). It doesnt do anything amazing for me, but thats coz i dont have any major skin problems. no breakouts or oily or dry skin. its a very silky serum which feels oily on application but absorbs and sinks in. i also find that when my skin is irritated, applying this calms my skin down. i use this as one take vitamins - to supplement my skincare products. so i can use a very basic moistruiser, add this stuff, and know that i've added antioxidants to my basic Olay sunscreen/moistriser the small bottle lasts a long time!

Conditioner -Redken - Clear Moisture Conditioner

one of the best conditioners i've tried - for my hair type any way. (fine hair). moistruises well and doesnt leave buildup. actually moisturises (soaks in) instead of feeling that it just coated the hair strands main thing i like abt it is that its light weight, and i'll mention again - no buildup! :)

Treatments -Redken - Clear Moisture Water Rush
ocicat 11/2/2006 6:18:00 AM
would prefer it in a bottle to squeeze out rather than use my hand in the pot to dig it out. a nice treatment that doesn't weigh down the hair but doesn't make a significant difference to my fine dryish hair...... Still, i would keep buying it and alternate it with my usual Redken conditioner once a week or so.

Pressed Powders -Cover Girl - TruBlend Pressed Powder

this is the 1st powder i've ever used so i've nothing to compare with. but its great! but then again, my skin's pretty good to start with (no break outs, pretty even skin tone and not much visible pores or blackheads). i apply this very lightly after using oil blotting paper and it makes my skin even more even-looking and reasonably natural. i have fair asian skin and use the lightest shade. no fragrance is also a plus. the packaging can be made to look a little nicer though!

Love the smooth and moist feel of this lipstick. Because it’s moist, it doesn’t have much staying power- a cross between a lipbalm and a lipstick, but I don’t mind reapplying. Has a light fruity smell which is initially pleasant but after a while, can be annoying.

one of my all time fave lippies! very smooth, comfortable feel. keeps lips moist and moderate coverage. not too pigmented and not too light either. plus a broadpectrum sunscreen! most of the colours are beautiful - though bought a few that were too dark for me and gave to mum. i even used some as a cream blush and got compliments all the time! what a shame its discontinued!! :(

Lipstick -Revlon - MoistureStay Lip Color
ocicat 11/2/2006 5:42:00 AM
was surprised how well this lip stick wore - in terms of wear time and how comfortable it was. cooling sensation when applied and lasts for hours and hours. when it does wear off, it wears off reasonably evenly. even the colour was quite flatterin - a pleasant surprise considering that my DAD bought it for me! a great lippie. not as moistrisiing as most cream and sheer lipsticks that i prefer (i prefer lip stick with a lip balm consistency) but good coverage and lastability

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - Lipslicks in Clear

Used this a few yrs ago and loved it. was good for when i was in high school and just wanted a natural looks. comfortable and smooth moist feel without stickiness. not for those looking for high shine glossy look - it imparts a moist look, not like the gloss of a liquid lip gloss. scent is reasonably unintrusive too

It was a few yrs ago since i've tried this, but i remember it was pretty good. gel-like consistency so it goes on well and smoothly without globs. nice soft lashes& fairly natural look. i guess u'd only be dissapointed if ur after a spider-leg false lash effect.

Lip Gloss -DuWop - Lip Venom
ocicat 11/2/2006 3:08:00 AM
Was initially good - tingly and warm feel, nice light cinnamon scent. But it works by the cinnamon oil stimulating the skin - and thats not a good thing because its a skin irritant. I found out for myself when used over time, it made my lips dry and sore. it's actually dehydrating to keep using. packaging is bad too - too liquidy to only have a twist top lid and not a smaller hole or something to flow out from. over time, bits of dirt built up under the lid. pricey. not worth it. eroh, and didnt really make my lips pinker or bigger - it just felt that way (and looking fuller as any shiny gloss would do, but no more).
