Hair Styling Tools -Unlisted Brand - Solia Ceramic Ion Flat Iron
rated 5 of 5

I love my Solia, and let me tell you I did my research before purchase. After much comparing between the sedu, solano and GHD I decided to add the Solia to my list of possible straightening irons. Well the price, it was the cheapest out of all the irons, and great reviews made it an easy choice. I have had many people use my Solia, ranging from thin, wavy, thick and curly haired girls and never once do I hear a complaint. If anything they are convinced the straightener came from the heavens, lol. For the record I got mine through Folica.com for the awesome price of $80 bucks, you also get a free heat pouch that allows you to store the solia away after usage, even at 450 degrees! No more burned bathroom sinks, something I am sure my landlord appreciates.

Eye Makeup Remover -Unlisted Brand - Target Eye Makeup Remover

It's cheap and it gets the job done. It does sometimes, very rarely, sting my eyes if I over soak the cotton ball. I am happy with the product, especially the price.

Misc Beauty Tools -Revlon - Makeup Eraser Pen
rated 4 of 5
normaestrada19 5/31/2009 10:09:00 PM

In a perfect world my eyeliner would never, ever run, and I would not make any makeup mistakes. Since, I don't live in a perfect world and I make waaaaay too many mistakes, I need this. It is a staple in my makeup bag. Yes, it is a bit oily and after fixing my 'mistakes' the pen should be cleansed. Even with these little issues, I am still grateful that this product exists and is practical enough to carry around.

Tools -La Cross - Crystal Nail File
rated 5 of 5
normaestrada19 5/31/2009 9:40:00 PM

Great quality compared to the regular emery board nail files. Kinda of pricey, around 10 bucks, but worth it. The regular emery board nail filer seems to sharpen my nails so much they could double as weapons in a fight. The crystal nail file, on the other hand, does not. Wish they would come out with a mini version of this so it could be a staple in my makeup bag. Remember this product is glass, therefore breakable, meaning if you sit on it, no matter how skinny you think your booty is, it will break. Have heard from too many ladies doing this, lol!

Misc Beauty Tools -MAC - MAC Pro Tweezers
rated 5 of 5
normaestrada19 5/27/2009 5:10:00 PM

I love these tweezers they are simply the best I have tried, and I have tried my share. I can have the smallest stub on my eyebrow and these babies grasp and pull them right out. I also love that they come in a pouch and have a cap that protects the tweezers' points. Yes they are pricey at $28 bucks but they are really good quality. Prefer them over tweezerman tweezers.

Lip Treatments -MAC - Lip Conditioner
rated 2 of 5

So lucky me has oily skin, but very dry lips. Well this product did zip for my lips in the long run. I bought this a very, very, very long time ago and I still remember not liking it. I am not to sure if they changed the formula because the one I used came in the old, less eye appealing pot. Now I see that it is a prettier packaging, but I cannot get over the fact that you dip your fingers in it. It is not sanitary, but I would deal with it if it had actually worked for me. All it did for my lips was moisturize them for like a minute, but then it would dry out my lips while still looking glossy. It was weird. I guess it just moisturized my lips on a superficial level, never felt any long lasting moisture with it.

Tools -Noxzema - Eyebrow Shaper
rated 5 of 5
normaestrada19 5/27/2009 3:50:00 PM

I stocked up on these babies a while ago. There is one in my makeup bag, makeup case, medicine cabinet, my makeup traveling case, and one in my bathroom drawer, so basically EVERYWHERE! I have also given sooooo many of them away to friends who hate to tweeze. I am an EYEBROW FREAK so these help with my fetish. My eyebrows grow at an amazing rate, I am not complaining just saying it gets a bit expensive, so these are a lifesaver for my in between eyebrow grooming appointments. They are also a smarter way to try out new eyebrow shapes since you are only shaving the hair grows back rather quickly. Love, love, love these! Every eyebrow fanatic should have several on hand. On a sad note I cannot seem to find these at Walmart anymore, I have been using the Sally Hansen version instead. Those are good, but these are GREAT.

Blush -MAC - Satin Blush - Fleur Power
rated 5 of 5
normaestrada19 5/27/2009 3:38:00 PM

I love this MAC Blush! It is such a face picker upper. It is by far my most used blush and I have yet to make a dent in it, after 3 years of owning it! I wish MAC would make a sheertone shimmer version of this blush, since I imagine it would look amazing in that finish. My pet peeve with this blush is, the same one I have with all MAC Blushes, that they don't come with a mirror or a brush. Fine, I'll get over the no brush thing, but no mirror.....come on that gets pretty annoying when needing to reapply on the run. Still heart it, so I'll get over it.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Concrete
rated 5 of 5
normaestrada19 5/27/2009 3:30:00 PM

Before I was introduced to Concrete to use as an eyebrow filler, I was using Black Tied. Yes, Black Tied! Can you ladies believe it? Well, I figured that maybe I should find a shade softer than Black Tied, even though my eyebrows are really dark, I felt BT made them look too harsh at times. Thanks to all the great reviews on MUA I went on my marry way to purchase concrete. So far I have used on the brows, and lower lash line, and it works wonderfully both ways. I have a feeling this will last me a lifetime since my eyebrows are pretty dark and thick, but in certain places they are not as dense as they should be, so I use very, very, very, little. I don't necessarily create a whole new eyebrow or majorly fill them in, it is more like I pump up their volume in certain places. On the lower lash line this color, on me at least, makes it look like I may or may not be wearing anything at all. It is the perfect eye makeup no makeup look, if this makes any sense. It will be in my makeup bag for sure from now on, since there are many times I walk out with a bare face in a hurry, I can now pump up my brows and line my eyes with one color.............FANTABULOUS *_*

Fragrances -MAC - Hue-Turquatic ]
rated 5 of 5
normaestrada19 5/26/2009 12:32:00 AM

This scent makes me so happy *-* I love how it smells so fresh and clean. The scent, at least for me, lasts all day. I have many perfumes that I love, but this by far is my everyday scent. I do wish it would come in like a jumbo sized bottle, but the small bottle is very practical to carry around with you. I usually reapply midday if going out in the evening, but truth is I don't really need it........I just LOVE it that much.

Misc Beauty Tools -Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets
rated 5 of 5
normaestrada19 5/25/2009 10:34:00 PM

This product is awesome for touch-ups since it blots without messing up your make-up. My only real pet peeve is the price. Since my skin is soooo oily I go through so many of them in a day, hence why it can get pretty pricey for me. It really isn't the products' fault, more like my fault for having oily skin. Lately though, I have been having wonderful makeup/skin days since using M.A.C 'S PREP + PRIME TRANSPARENT FINISHING POWDER and DESSERT ESSENCE JOJOBA OIL. So these are a must have for all ladies who need to maintain the makeup on their faces, and they are pretty practical to take with you everywhere!

Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Jojoba Oil - 100% pure
rated 5 of 5
normaestrada19 5/25/2009 10:05:00 PM

I was alerted to this wonderful product by a fellow MUA user, and thank goodness for her recommendation! As mentioned in my review for the M.A.C PREP + PRIME TRANSPARENT FINISHING POWDER, I have ridiculously oily, oily, oily skin. Well, hope I am not jinxing myself, no longer!!! I feel like I have had a rebirth in regards to my skin because the oily skin that I have been dealing with has improved so drastically! The M.A.C finishing powder has worked miracles on the longevity of my makeup and the Dessert Essence Jojoba oil has improved the quality of my skin. My skin is beautifully moisturized NOT oily looking at all. The fact that this oil has so many multiple uses is the big fat juicy cherry on top of my sundae..........I think I may be hungry. Now, if only I can find something for my oily hair, anyone have suggestions??

Loose Powders -MAC - Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder
rated 5 of 5
normaestrada19 5/19/2009 9:11:00 PM

Let me start by saying that this product works, it really works!!!!! I have extremely oily skin, and I do mean EXTREMELY OILY! On any given day you could fry an egg on my forehead :( Even my eyelids are oily, I have to wear UDPP or Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance everyday (even when not wearing eyeshadow) or else the oil on my lids sting my eyes. Gross, I know. Well on to this miracle product, I freaking love it! Even my co-workers at work noticed how oil free my face looked. Let me tell you that by lunch hour I have usually blotted my face with Clean & Clear oil absorbing sheets twice and powdered my face, but not today!!!!! Around 1:00 today I just had to 'tap' my face with a bit of blot powder and used no oil absorbing sheets beforehand *-* This is a miracle ladies and gents..........a freaking miracle!! HG product. For the record, I work as a Physical Therapy Aide, meaning I am running around usually breaking a sweat, and this product made me look like I was sitting calmly behind a computer all day. M.A.C I heart you *-*

Oh jeez whiz, I LOVE this hairspray :) :) => =) Love the smell, love the can, love the way a fine mist comes out of the can, just love, love, love this hairspray! Oh and most importantly love the way it makes my hair feel......like I never put hairspray in it, and yet it holds my hair style. What the Heck??? Some things, I guess are better left a mystery.

Hair -L'Oreal - Elnett Hairspray
rated 1 of 5
normaestrada19 3/21/2009 3:15:00 PM

Man, I've read sooooooooo much hype about this hairspray. So of course, I was elated when I saw it at my local Target. Well, let me say that for the first time ever a much hyped about product did not deliver :( My biggest complain is that it left flakes in my hair even with out me trying to brush out my hair. Don't get where all the hype is coming from and I have a sneaky suspicion that the "American version" of this cult favorite hairspray is somewhat changed from the European one. I'll stick to my Sebastian Shaper/ Shaper Plus and Bumble and Bumble spray de Mode Hairsprays. Now those hairsprays I love!
