my sister bought this and hated it, stating how it made her too tingly in a certain area. so she passed it on me to and i love it! it smells great and does a good "cleansing" job. it does make me feel tingly, and i mean everywhere... would definitely buy this

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorstay Overtime SHEER - Sheer Rosette
rated 4 of 5

i'm falling so hard for these sheer lip colors! i bought them in sheer nude and champagne already and i bought this one last night. it's almost like sheer nude, but with a litte glisten to it. it looks very natural on me. i'm brown skin with dark hair and eyes. it's a great day look. all 3 of the sheer colors i've tried are very wearable day or night. the only con to this is that they dry out my lips terribly! it comes off super easy with almond oil. terrible for eating greasy food or making out

ive used this a few times so far and im highly impressed with the results. i use this with a micro cloth to clean my face, and my face is left squeaky clean. i absolutely love it. i got this at dollarama (canada) for a buck and i will definitely buy more. this is up to par with ponds 3 in 1 bar. this got into my eyes a few times and it stings really bad.

i found this at dollarama (in canada) for a buck... i only bought one cuz i wasnt sure how well my lips would take to it... so far so good!!! it's not sticky at all and my lips feel tingly from the menthol. not fond of the mineral oil and 1 paraben in this, but it has great ingredients that make it worth using. will definitely stock up!

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Colorstay Overtime Sheer in Sheer Nude
rated 4 of 5
mochasplash 4/27/2009 3:46:00 PM

this came out very pink on my brown skin... however it still looks natural and thats what i was aiming for.. im finding that the application process it tricky.. the applicator for the first step seems to make the color go on streaky. i cant seem to fix it with my fingers and it's a pain... i'd still buy it again... this dries out my lower lip terribly.. terrible for eating greasy food or making out

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Colorstay Overtime Sheer in Sheer Champagne

after buying this in sheer naked, i wanted a color that wasnt so pink, so i picked this one. it's pretty much the exact same color as my lips, minus the little sparkly particles. i still love it and would buy it again. it goes on smooth (compared to the sheer naked which leaves streaks from the applicator) very nice nude color for my tan/brown skin. terrible for eating greasy food or making out

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorstay Overtime Lipcolor Bare Maximum

i originally bought this in eternally tan and it was too much of a dark brown for my lips, didnt look too natural. i exchanged it for this shade and i love it. it's very natural/nude on me. i have brown skin and wanted something nude, but nothing that made me look dead. this is great. i hate wearing lipstick because of color wearing off from food, drinking, etc. after finding this, i will continue to use these types of lip color. i read some reviews here about this product costing up to $10. i got this at walmart for just under $7, regular price. liking this, i will now try the sheer nude or champagne **i've tried sheer naked and champagne and i took this one back! not as great as the 2 others!

Lips -Cover Girl - Outlast Lipstain - 435 Flirty Nude
rated 3 of 5

i didnt find this reasonably priced at walmart for $9... i wanted a stain that was nude and this definitely was not! i swatched it on my wristed and it came up as a vibrant orange/pinkish color... when i apply this, it does go on smooth, however it is far from anything nude!!! its like lipstick on me! nothing as i thought.. i wish i read the reviews on here before i got this! it comes off super easy with water. i took this one back and got teasing blush, which looks a lot better on me!

Cleansers -Olay - Warming Deep Purifying Cleanser
rated 4 of 5

this really wets warm, but it doesnt stay that way for long. it's very creamy and contains lots of micro beads. it smells good and doesnt seem to irritate my skin. it washes off clean as well. i dont use this to take off make up, but just as a scrub/cleanser... i love the smell.

Brows -New York Color - Browser in Brunette
rated 3 of 5
mochasplash 4/3/2009 10:20:00 PM

i thought this product would be great! used it a few times and every time, i broke out around my brows. im thinking it's the wax. the idea is great, comes with little tweezers that dont work for me and a great small stiff brush. i really wanted to love this but the break outs arent worth it at all. the packaging is great along with the price!

Hair Styling Tools -Unlisted Brand - Avanti Ultra Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron 1"
rated 5 of 5
mochasplash 3/30/2009 10:17:00 PM

hot damn! never again will i go back to babyliss!! brief description of this iron ; * Ceramic and tourmaline plates, 1" width * High heat up to 410° F (210° C) * Korean ceramic heater quickly heats plates to a default temperature of 355° F (180° C). Temperature can then be adjusted between 210°F (100°C) and 410°F (210°C) * Ceramic and tourmaline gemstones that are infused into the plates are natural sources of negative ions and far-infrared heat that promote healthy, shiny hair * Surround heat offers endless styling options. Create shiny curls, waves or straight hair with the same iron * Lightweight, sleek and ergonomic design makes this iron very comfortable to use * Well-positioned temperature dial is strategically placed to prevent accidental use * Temperature dial provides multiple heat settings for use on all hair types * Ergonomic handle with textured surface is designed for a firm hold * Multiple heat settings * On/Off switch with indicator light * 360° swivel cord * AC 120V used in USA/Canada * One year limited warranty i got this for $90 canadian and it was damn worth it! it heats up super quick and is very professional quality. my hair does not get caught at the side of the plates unlike the babyliss pro. my hair glides through with absolutely no resistance or tugging! never had to go through the same piece of hair more than once. i'm so in love with this i will never look back at babyliss or conair (lol) im so surprised there was no reviews on this on mua. the cord could be longer and thats the only con i've ran into with this iron. it's definitely a steal, especially with the price!! i was hesitant to buy this cuz of the name, which i've never heard of, then i saw it was part of dannyco, which is also rep by babyliss. my babyliss seems to die on me every 2-4 years and thats not even using it every day and my warranty was up so i had to get something, and im glad i chose this! i hope this doesnt die on me!!! i would recommend this to every and anyone!!!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Beauty Tubes
rated 3 of 5
mochasplash 3/29/2009 12:09:00 AM

i ruined my lashes with lash extensions jus over a year ago. i really wanted to love this. i didnt care for volume, i just wanted the length it was advertised to give. bullshit! i used as directed and my lashes looked mediocre. nothing special at all. i was very disappointed. it was just under 10$ at walmart and i dont think it was worth it at all. my l'oreal double extend gives better results than this. i will keep working at it and hopefully i will get the length im hoping for! i like that the both tubes click to close, therefore u know it's securely closed, thats a plus. it didnt clump, smear or budge. when i washed it off, it did look like pieces of my lashes were coming off. it's a bitch to wash off, even with a micro fiber cloth.. like some reviewers mentioned, warm water is a must! UPDATE i've been using this on and very off for about 2 months. having it dry up a bit works a lot better than when it's brand new.. this is the most irritating mascara to wash off.. cool water will not work at all... i need enough soap that it stings my eyes.. it just not worth it, price, results and so on... theres better one step mascaras out there

Hair Styling Tools -Conair - Instant Heat 1-1/2" Curling Iron/Straightener
rated 3 of 5
mochasplash 3/28/2009 11:39:00 PM

i didnt want to be the first reviewer for this iron. i was counting on mua to provide me with some guidance on whether i should have bought this or not! my babyliss ceramic straightener died and i needed to get a replacement for the weekend. i went to walmart and picked this up for $20(canadian) i really wanted to love this. however, the barrel is too big when using it for straightening. the curling handle (clamp?) also gets in the way of using the straightening part of this iron. it's not true ceramic either. if u follow the yellow color of the curling handle/clamp to the base underneath the handle, you will blatantly see that it was either spray painted or air burshed. so it's coated like the Satin Finish 3/4" Ultra-Slim Ceramic Straightener. the cord is not very long either. the pros to this is that it's 2 in 1 obviously. it does get very fucking hot. if i wasnt taking this back to get the 3/4" straightener instead, i know i would eventually burn my fingers, hand, scalp, neck or ear. they should have made this in a 1 inch instead, that way it would be less bulky. it doesnt really tug at my hair, but i can tell a difference in a professional brand iron compared to this.
