Moisturizers -Trader Joe's - Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion

HG STATUS! It's simply perfect. It's no fuss, no scent, no greasy feel, no stinging. It keeps my skin moisturized, supple, protected with SPF. Works great as a makeup base. Who knew that a place where I pick up almond butter would also have the best facial moisturizer ever? At $3.99 for 4 oz. this beats all products on the market hands down.
The consistency is more like a lipstick than a gloss or balm. However, it is moisturizing. For the price, it's a steal! The color is a nice clear red. To soften the pigment, do apply balm beforehand. I would also recommend applying with a mirror due to the consistency and high pigmentation. The key with this product is the application. I would not apply it like a regular lip balm (due to the high pigmentation). I use a stippling technique. This will be my go-to red from here on out! Great value but there is that "lipsticky" smell; so for those who mind this scent, just beware. It does not bother me. It reminds me of when i was a child trying to wear my mom's makeup somehow... good memories! I travel a lot, so these are very convenient - I can stock up! I also have used this to double as a blush. It does do a fabulous job! <3 it!!!!! I took one lippy off due to application: I usually think of tints as being able to apply as much without looking clownish due to the sheerness. If they reformulated this to add more balm and take down the pigment a notch while adding a hint of menthol, this could potentially be the HG of all liptints. Until then, I'll take the bargain price (I got it on special 2 for 1= 50 cents a piece... and run!!!) Thanks Avon again... for making the everyday girl feel fabulous!
Treatments -Desert Essence - Tea Tree Oil (100% Pure Australian)

HG Status!!! This is great for spot treatment of acne! I will always have this available just in case. I use o use The Body Shop version, but there was no store nearby my hometown. I happened to be at Trader Joe's and spotted this miracle in a bottle. So glad I decided to purchase it! Works better than TBS!
Equate is a great generic line for Wal-mart. I never ever thought I would find myself using generic brands, but knowing what I know now, I will probably never go back to using brand names. Active ingredients are typically the same, so why spend more?!?!
I purchase my Orly nail polishes at Sally Beauty. I have trusted the Orly brand for years now...ever since I started to do my french manicures at home (a budget fashionista!) It goes on smooth, the colors are true, and it lasts. The top coats are produce an amazing shine (right now I am using Manifique on top of the White Tips and Beverly Hills Plum polishes). They have such a nice selection of shades for the french manicure too... you can go nude, like pink, or a more natural shade of rose. Orly also has many shades of white... from the very stark white opaque, to a more sheer white tip. My go-to brand that I always have in my beauty cabinet next to my OPI laquers!
Lovely moisturizer with SPF 15. I have been using Oil of Olay for quite some time. I really love the product. Being in medical school and being exposed to the pharmaceuticals industry, you learn that sometimes generic versions of popular items work just as well as their name-brand counterparts. Such is the case with the Equate Wal-Mart version of Olay Complete - only I feel that it's performance is superior in regards to absorption and does not leave a greasy film on the skin. As long as the Equate version's formula remains the same (I use the regular version that is scented), I will be a devoted follower. It's a great value as well - in comparison to the name brand, it is about 1/2 the cost. Smart beauty shoppers will agree that this is one moisturizer that will do what it claims to do - keeping the skin moisturized and protected - without breaking the bank.
Lip Gloss -C.O. Bigelow - Mentha Lip Tint No. 1643 Coral Mint
mkinthecity 4/28/2009 4:19:00 PM
I like this lip treatment a lot... b/c it is so sheer, I usually slick on a coral-colored lipstick underneath to bring out the color of this product. The tingly sensation is wonderful as is the minty flavoring. I enjoy the whole line and I like coral a lot, but my favorite is the magenta shade. It depends on your complexion and what look you're going for, but coral is a very nice color too!
Lip Gloss -C.O. Bigelow - Mentha Lip Tint No. 1641 Magenta Mint

Uh.... can you say "yay"?! Perfect hint of color to bring out my natural lip color... but with a bit more polish. Love the mint and it tingles gently. It's glossy. Great for summer days at the beach and to brighten a winter complexion. Just perfect. For $5 a pop, I have several!

Great product! It covers like a dream and lasts all day! It's inexpensive and you can buy it anywhere! Smooths out my skin and provides an even canvas for color! I do enjoy the frangrance-free version more than the original. Thanks Cover Girl!!!!
Eye Shadow -New York Color - Sparkle Eye Dust - Champagne

I love this color! It is a nice nude with just enough sparkle. Did I mention what a bargain it is? The unique packaging is very cute as well. I use to use the loose eye shadow by MAC... but now I do not need to as I've found this at a fraction of the cost.
Do your skin a favor and buy this product! I only wish I had tried this along time ago! I've used expensive brands, but this will always be my HG moisturizer! It doesn't burn or sting. The SPF is lovely and doesn't leave my skin filmy. The texture of this lotion is lightweight but hydrating and my skin drinks it in! Absorbs so well and I have never been this happy with a moisturizer! My skin is smooth and soft and I love it! Thank you Olay for keeping my skin young! EDIT: When they changed the formula, unfortunately I had to change my brand too. The good news is that I found it in a less expensive version! I use Trader Joe's version now.
Dare I say that I am in the minority! I've tried and reviewed many a foundations... and for the price, you can't beat the Clean Makeup by Cover Girl. Although the reviews have been pretty lousy, it has been around for some time for a reason. I haven't used this foundation in years, and thought I would review it again to see if it has changed. Still the same. Classic and reliable! I don't mind the Noxzema scent (I find it somehow comforting because it reminds me of my youth), but if you do, there is the unscented version. I found the perfect match with Classic Ivory. The coverage is wonderful (hides redness and dark circles). I have normal to dry skin, so this formula suits me. If you have oilier skin, you probably do not want to try this foundation. The coverage gives me a dewy finish. Although there is no spf, I don't mind. The moisturizer I use underneath has one in it. Excellent buy! But if you have allergies, make sure to get the one that is unscented. For the winter months, I enjoy this foundation. It might be a tad bit too heavy for the summertime. In the summer, I will most likely do MAC Select Tint.
Lovely! I have never tried Rimmel lipsticks before and was honestly not knowing what to expect. I just liked what I saw in the tube... and was hoping for the best. I must say this is one of my favorite lip colors! I have very light Asian skin with dark hair and eyes, it totally suits my complexion. Holy Grail... move over department store brands! Yay!
By far one of the best quads out there if not the best - and the colors are great! You can go subtle to dramatic with the color combinations. I like to line my eyes with the darkest shade with a eyeliner brush. As with all applicators that come with eyeshadow kits/quads - I never use them. I always apply with eyeshadow brushes... and voila! From drab to fab in less than 60 seconds!

A great go-to neutral! I love the formula because it is never drying! I am now a convert from department store to drugstore cosmetics! I guess you can have your cake and eat it too... Thanks Maybelline!!!!
