Fragrances -Narciso Rodriguez - Narciso Rodriguez for her

I was very excited to try this fragrance, especially after seeing all the great reviews on the boards. My verdict is YUCK! This one just didn't work for me at all...in fact, the first time I wore it was on a recent flight to London, and my husband actually asked me to wash it off (nicely!) by the time we made it to the hotel. It smelled sweet, warm, and slightly sour at the same time. I guess it all comes down to chemistry in the end, doesn't it? Try before you buy.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - The Comforter Bubble Bar
rated 3 of 5
luckygirl322 7/14/2006 5:59:00 AM

This is a nice, big bubble bar, and I'll have no trouble getting at least three baths from it. Yay! The scent is a nice berry/black currenty vanilla fragrance, the bar is a pretty magenta and white swirl, and it makes my bath water an absolutely beautiful shade of violet pink...so what's not to like? Smells wonderful dry, but it does lose a lot of its scent once it hits the water...that's the only disappointment I had in this one. I'll definitely repurchase.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Coconut Temptation
rated 3 of 5
luckygirl322 6/26/2006 6:49:00 AM

At first, I smelled a bit of warm, sweet coconut, a la Hawaiian Tropic, but this quickly morphs into a 'tropical fruit' fragrance, and the yummy coconut disappears. Then the fruit leaves, too, and you have a completely differnt drydown, a sweet, generic vanilla perhaps? The dry down actually reminds me of BBW's Vanilla Bean Noel (NOT the yummy lotion, but the yucky body wash and splash scent). This is a strange one. I love the fresh green color of the lotion and the bodywash. Who ever thought of coloring a coconut scent such a sunny, bright green? Cute packaging, and the textures of the lotion and bodywash are nice, although I did find the bodywash a little bit drying to my skin. The description on the packaging says Vanilla, Coconut, Sugar. I find this description misleading, because there are some bright, fruity notes in here that completely overwhelm the coconut-vanilla-sugar. Worth a try if you're curious, you could do worse when looking for a summer scent.

Lotions/ Creams -Hawaiian Tropic - Lime Coolada Moisturizer
rated 3 of 5
luckygirl322 6/26/2006 6:36:00 AM

This is a nice lotion. It leaves my skin smooth and soft, without being sticky. It's inexpensive, easy to find, and smells good (I don't smell any lime in here, I smell pineapple!), but if you don't like 'sweet' scents, this may not be for you...as it's positively cavity inducing! The overly sweet scent drys down into a nice fruity/summery fragrance, reminiscent of the beach, which is exactly what I expect from Hawaiian Tropic!

Fragrances -Calgon - Vanilla Swirl Body Mist
rated 2 of 5
luckygirl322 6/26/2006 6:28:00 AM

From the picture on the bottle, I expected this to be a lovely, creamy sweet vanilla. In reality, this scent is almost all amber, with very little vanilla, not a sweet foody scent at all. The fragrance is nice, but not particularly 'vanilla', and certainly not a creamy vanilla as the packaging would lead you to believe. Very cute (though misleading) packaging.

Lotions/ Creams -Calgon - Coconut Sorbet Body Lotion
rated 1 of 5
luckygirl322 6/26/2006 6:23:00 AM

This is really bad lotion...waxy feel and texture. Does not improve the look or feel of skin in *any* way, shape or form, and the scent disappears in a flash. Really disappointing. Packaging is cute.

This scent is very papaya/peachy smelling, with just a smidgen of coconut peeking around the corner. NOT what I was expecting. Plesant enough, with kind of a beachy, 'tanning' smell. Super cute packaging.

Fragrances -Calgon - Pear Caramel
rated 2 of 5
luckygirl322 6/26/2006 6:18:00 AM

I wish I loved this scent as much as everyone else seems to...I was very excited to find it here, since I have very limited access to American brands. The pear scent is *very* sharp, and does not blend with the sweetness of the caramel...it does dry down into a softer vanilla fragrance, but somehow neither the initial scent or the drydown are appealing to me. Cute packaging.

Polishes -Revlon - Sheer Innocence
rated 1 of 5
luckygirl322 3/4/2006 8:40:00 AM

This is a gorgeous pale pink in the bottle, but that's where 'pretty' ends. I've used it for my manicure twice, and both times, I've been disappointed with my streaky results. My bottle says 'New Formula', maybe they should have stuck with the old one! I used to really like my Revlon polishes, but my last couple purchases have been very disappointing.

Polishes -Revlon - ColorStay Always On Color - True Camisole Sheer
rated 1 of 5
luckygirl322 3/4/2006 8:34:00 AM

Worthless polish. This product ended up being a waste of time and money...money, because I paid full price, and the formula is crappy. Time, because even though I was being extremely careful when polishing my nails, it came out streaky and ugly. So frustrating! Do not buy this product...save your money, I already wasted mine!

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Ruby Red Slippers
rated 4 of 5
luckygirl322 2/28/2006 1:32:00 AM

Love this! It's supposed to smell like Potion, and although I don't think it smelled as good as the lotion, it was delightful. I loved the bright red glitter, which washed right down the drain, and didn't gunk up in the tub, or on my skin. I could get at least two, and maybe three baths out of each one, which made this one of my more economical Lush purchases. A really nice bubble bar!

Lotions/ Creams -Gold Bond - Ultimate Healing Skin Therapy Lotion
rated 3 of 5
luckygirl322 2/28/2006 1:25:00 AM

I read the reviews on this lotion when I was searching for something to help with my winter-dry skin. It sounded fantastic, so I ordered it from Drugstore.com. I've been using it for two weeks now, my tube is almost empty, but I have to say, it really hasn't done anything for my skin. It certainly hasn't hurt it, but it hasn't improved it in the least. It is an O.K. drugstore lotion, but I don't think I will be repurchasing. I wish it worked for me, the way it's working for everyone else! I didn't find it greasy, and the scent didn't bother me at all, but overall, it's been a pretty useless product. Oh, well.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Gratuitous Violets soap
rated 4 of 5
luckygirl322 1/16/2006 11:25:00 AM

Love it, love it, love it! This is a new favorite...sweet and spicy at the same time. Somewhat drying, and it melts away VERY quickly...but the scent is PERFECT! Am I the only one who smells cloves in GV? What a fabulous name for a violet soap!

Bath Treatments -LUSH - You've Been Mangoed bath melt
rated 4 of 5
luckygirl322 1/16/2006 11:22:00 AM

I've used several of these melts. Smells fantastic, packed with rich, moisturizing oils and butters, expensive...but really nice. One of my favorite bath melts from LUSH...works like a champ in my hard, hard water.
