Eye Shadow -Milani - Gold and Beautiful
rated 4 of 5

Although I was very disappointed by the fact that the silver glitter came off with the first layer, this color is gorgeous even without it. Gold and Beautiful is a very warm coppery-gold color with a good bit of shimmer. It's similar to Urban Decay Chopper, only a bit more orange and less glittery. The staying power is superb, as is the pigmentation (I use it wet for intense results.) This is a unique and gorgeous color and worth picking up for a mere $3.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Honey Kiss in Honey Kiss
rated 4 of 5

I actually really like this gloss. It adds a clear pink tint to my lips and is super glossy. The smell is VERY strong and exactly like honey. The texture is also quite like honey - very sticky. The packaging is petite and adorable. Bonne Bell actually did something right ;)

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Glam Shine -Seductress

This shade just looked so crazy and iridescent in the tube that I had to have it. On my lips, it's a slightly metallic medium pink color with tons of microglitter that flashes gold and copper. It doesn't go well with certain eye makeup, but the right combination makes it look perfect.

I took off 2 lipsticks for a few reasons... mainly, the packaging and the scent. The applicator looks bent and cheap and isn't really good for applying the gloss evenly. And, as other people have said, the shape of the tube doesn't make it easy to get every last bit out. The scent it perfumey and floral and just turns me off to it... it's similar to the scent of the Glass Shines.

If you can get past the scent and the problems with the packaging, this is a good product to check out. But if you hate perfumey lip products, stay away from this one!

Eye Shadow -Milani - Nights in Paradise
rated 5 of 5

This is my new favorite Milani shadow. It's a gorgeous charcoal/black shade with a ton of silver microglitter. It's comparable to Jane's Clubbing, but it's much better in my opinion. When applied wet, the pigmentation is super, as is the staying power. Great as a liner or for a gorgeous smoky eye... don't pass this one up!

Loose Powders -Physicians Formula - Retro Glow loose powder
rated 4 of 5

I absolutely love this product. I'm a sucker for packaging, and that's what made me buy this in the first place. It's just so cute! Luckily, I happen to love the product as well. I have 'Porcelain' and I've finally found a powder light enough for my face without making me look like a pasty freak. Instead of giving me gross, matte coverage, it leaves my skin looking shine-free but still glowing. The only reason I took a lipstick off was because it's a bit too expensive for a drugstore product.

Loose Powders -Jane - staying powder loose powder

The shade that I have is supposed to be colorless, but I'm still far too pale to use it. It turns my skin a flat, dull, ashy color. Not very becoming. It does minimize shine for a while, but I much prefer the True to You loose powder over this.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - On-the-Loose - Orb

This, in my opinion, is one of the best colors in the OTL collection. It doesn't look like anything special in the container, but it goes on as a sort of hybrid of grey, taupe, brown, and silver. It's a pretty neutral color with something a bit more special about it. These containers last virtually forever, and this is definitely a new staple in my collection.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes in Candy Corn
rated 4 of 5
loveuntold 1/2/2004 12:24:00 AM

This is one of my favorite Juicy Tubes (of course it is --- it's limited edition!) It adds a moderate amount of sheer peachy-red pigment and, as always, a ton of (in this case, golden) shimmer and gloss. It's consistency is quite thick, which leads to decent staying power for a gloss. For being called Candy Corn, the scent leaves much to leave desired, though. It just smells sweet, with a hint of floral notes (but all Juicy Tubes seem to smell floral to me.)

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - On the Loose Shimmering Powder in Beauty Queen [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
loveuntold 12/26/2003 3:53:00 PM

After the disappointment of my first two OTL Powders (Diva Down & Night Fever), I wasn't expecting much from this. However, this is a gorgeous shade! Initially, I bought it because I thought it was a silver shade. What I got was much better than that, though. It's a light metallic lilac with both gold and silver shimmer. It works as a base color or a highlighter. When applied wet, it creates a very gorgeous effect. If you're going to buy an OTL powder, snatch this one up!

Lotions/ Creams -Queen Helene - Cocoa Butter Creme
rated 1 of 5
loveuntold 12/22/2003 11:33:00 AM

Ew ew ew ew ew! I think I'd rather slather Crisco all over my body than use this product. It comes in a huge tub for a small price, but that's really not an upside when I'm not planning on using this at all. The bottom line is: this stuff is greasy. It's the greasiest cocoa butter lotion or cream that I've ever encountered. After applying, I waited 10 minutes before finally deciding that it was never going to soak in and wiped it off with a towel. Even then it left an icky residue and a strange smell (very "off" if you ask me). May come in handy for greasing up small children who like to get themselves stuck in small places (a la Full House). Bleh.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Cherry 7-Up Lip Smacker
rated 3 of 5
loveuntold 12/20/2003 12:01:00 PM

I was so excited about this product because Cherry 7-Up is my favorite sodapop. Unfotunately, this balm leaves much to be desired. It really doesn't taste of smell like the soda... it's more bubblegummy to me. It's quite gritty, but it looks nice on my lips. A sheer, sparkly pink. Nice for the novelty of it, but not really necessary to have.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Liquid Lip Smacker- Sugar Crystals
rated 3 of 5
loveuntold 12/20/2003 11:44:00 AM

I really like this product, but I'm not fond of this particular scent. It's very medicinal and really not pleasing. The formula itself, though, is nice... not too thin and not too thick. Feels very comfortable on the lips and adds a lovely shine. Just stay away from Sugar Crystals.

Blush -Maybelline - Royal Blush
rated 3 of 5
loveuntold 12/1/2003 1:23:00 AM

I must say that I was very disappointed when I found out that the beautiful golden shimmer in this blush is only part of the top layer. As soon as you use it a few times, there is absolutely no shimmer left. Underneath the shimmer, it is a lovely berry shade that looks very sophisticated on my superpale skin. It is quite pigmented, but can be applied with a light hand for a more natural look. It's a nice color, but I still feel very misled.

Blush -Milani - Smooth Finish Blush - Luminous
rated 5 of 5
loveuntold 11/24/2003 3:00:00 AM

What a steal! At $3, this blush is of amazing quality. Although I don't have Orgasm and cannot compare the two, it's very similar to Urban Decay's X blush. It's a very pigmented pink color with a ton of golden shimmer. Just a tiny bit gives me an angelic glow. The name says it all: Luminous. Thumbs up!

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - WetSlicks Lip Gloss (general)
rated 3 of 5
loveuntold 11/23/2003 2:31:00 PM

This gloss isn't bad, but it isn't amazing, either. I have it in Peaches n Gleam, a pale shimmery peach color. It's a pretty shade, but the staying power leaves much to be desired. Because of it's less sticky texture, it wore off super fast. If I had the choice, I'd take stickiness and lasting power over this gloss. But if you absolutely despise sticky gloss (and can find a color that you like), this product is for you. Buy it on sale, though ;)
