Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - Fruit Spritzers Gloss- all colors
rated 3 of 5

These are pretty decent for a drugstore gloss. They have a nice selection of sheer colors that smell delicious and fruity. It comes in a tube with a slanted applicator, which I like. The colors go on pretty sheer, and they also taste good. Maybe because they taste so good, they don't last very long...But I find it only about a half an hour before they have disappeared. But for $4 a pop, it's not a big deal.

Self Tanners -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Self Tanning Foam
rated 1 of 5
lovesittxx 8/1/2007 9:55:00 PM

I think this was the first self tanner I ever used, in 7th grade. I remember I had no idea what I was doing, and ended up a horrible orange, streaky mess. Well, 5 years later, it really isn't any better, even if I know what I am doing....It runs like crazy, is pretty much impossible to spread evenly, stains everything it comes in contact with, gives hardly any color, and when it finally dries is streaky. The only thing about it that is good is the fact that it doesn't have a strong self tanner scent. But other than that, it is just horrible. Now I know to never buy it again.

Treatments -Redken - All Soft HEAVY CREAM
rated 3 of 5
lovesittxx 7/31/2007 9:32:00 PM

This was just average for me. To be honest, I haven't had much success with any Redken products at all....I thought this just might be my miracle product to transform my hair from the horrible state it is in. But alas, another $16 down the drain. It smells nice and has a thick, rich texture, but that is about the only nice thing about it. I left on anywhere from 15 minutes - 2 hours almost, and I didn't notice any fantastic results. My hair was just as dry the next day. Oh well. I think I found my HG anyways in Regis Conditioning Balm..

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HiP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
lovesittxx 7/31/2007 9:11:00 PM

I have only used this twice so far, so I am still sort of undecided if I will buy more colors of this...But the shade I bought first was the black, since that is most basic. Anyways..The pot is huge compared to my MAC Fluidline, and I like the texture of these better. For me at least, these seem creamier and not as hard as MAC's do. The brush that comes with it is worthless though, because it is really hard and scratchy, and pokes me in the eye. But that is okay since I have my own eyeliner brush...The first time I used this, it smudged on my upper lid after about 2 hours. But the 2nd time, I used it on both my upper and lower lids, and it lasted for more than 6 hours...I can't explain why since I didn't do anything different either time, but I am going to have to try it a few more times to fully decide.

Cleansers -Garnier - Nutri-Pure Detoxifying Wet Cleansing Towelettes Oil-Free

I am really lazy in general when it comes to taking off my makeup. I hate having to use separate products all the time to remove eye makeup, and then use a face wash afterwards. That is why wipes are pretty much a life saver to me...Or shall I say, skin saver. Anyways, I tried these when they first came out, and have bought them probably 6 or 7 times now, and I will use them until they are either discontinued or something better comes along...They remove all of my makeup:eyes, face, lips with irratating my skin. My main gripe is the fact that I have to use about 2-3 wipes, depending on how much makeup I have on. But since these are just about the only thing that do not break me out, I don't even care! I love these.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HIP Color Rich Cream Crayon in Meticulous
rated 5 of 5
lovesittxx 7/30/2007 9:41:00 PM

I saw some pretty good reviews about this, and I love trying new products, so I picked it up. This seemed like the most wearable, everyday color out of the bunch. The others were more wild, but this is a dark shimmery champagne color that looks just gorgeous. Even if I apply it by itself, with no primer, it lasts all day. Somehow, it seemed to even be waterproof! Pretty amazing! I have never tried MAC Shadesticks, so I can't compare them. But the price of this was almost as much as MAC- about $10. But for the lasting power and pretty color, it was worth it.

Conditioner -Regis - Design Line Conditioning Balm
rated 5 of 5
lovesittxx 7/30/2007 5:12:00 PM

I have been searching high and low for an everday conditioner that would not dry out my hair, and help repair the horrible damage to it. I think I may have found my HG in this. I walked into the salon at Walmart one day, where they suprisingly sell HE hair brands...Anyways, I asked for recs for a good, everyday conditioner for extremely dry hair, and this was what was suggested. It costs about $12.50, and comes in a big tube. It's a really, really thick balm, almost hard to squeeze out of the tube. You have to rub it in your hands to warm it up and be able to spread it properly through your hair. It feels great even just sitting in my hair! I knew it was going to work from the thick texture. I left it on for 5 minutes like the bottle said (you can also use it as a deep conditioner it says) and when I rinsed it, I could already tell that it had worked. Somehow it manages to smooth my hair out, make it extremely soft, give nice shine, and just make my hair feel all around healthy. Also, weirdly enough, it seems my hair dries much faster when I use this! My only complaint is since it is so thick, I wish they would put it in a tub or something, because it can be hard to squeeze out of the tube. Other than that, I think I will be buying this all the time now!

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Certain Dri
rated 1 of 5
lovesittxx 7/27/2007 10:26:00 PM

It looks like I am one of the few who this did not work for. I tend to sweat alot, and have been looking for something that will really work. I had heard great things about this, so I picked it up. The first few times I used it, it was okay. But after awhile, I noticed it started to smell really awful. It overwhelmed me. And it didn't keep me dry either. I ended throwing it away. I will stick to Secret Clinical.

Conditioner -Matrix - Biolage Color Care Conditioner
rated 1 of 5
lovesittxx 7/27/2007 10:21:00 PM

I have been looking into every hair line possible for something to help make my hair look better and healthier, and since my mom picked this up to try, I decided to give it a shot. The first thing I noticed was the strong chemically scent. I know it might not bother over people, but I like for my hair products to smell good, not chemically. But if it worked good, I could've got over the scent. But the thing is, it didn't work. It made my hair dry and didn't improve anything. Another $15 spent on a useless hair product...

Styling Products -Clairol - Herbal essence totally twisted mousse
rated 1 of 5
lovesittxx 7/27/2007 10:18:00 PM

I bought this based on the pretty good reviews, and the cheap price, but I would've rather spent more money on something better...The scent was nice, and that was about it. My hair is already damaged and severely dry. This made it even drier, if that is possible. It was sticky, and believe it or not, somehow it also managed to make my hair fall out...I have never had that happen before. Oh, and it also did nothing to increase volume or enhance curls. Awful.

Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime Glow Spray
rated 4 of 5
lovesittxx 7/27/2007 10:15:00 PM

I have bought this a few times, and to be honest, sometimes I wonder why I still buy it. But out of the drugstore spray self tanners, it is the best, besides Sally Hansen Airbrush...But anyways, the reason I feel so negatively about it is the scent. Horrible. I should be used to self tanner smells by now, having tried them all...But still, all the L'oreal ones I have tried have the worst smell. If it weren't for the smell, I would love this. Please, L'oreal, reformulate the scent! Oh, and at least this is true for me, but if you don't use moisturizer after spraying this on, it tends to turn out very streaky for me. So I have to blend it in with some lotion. I know that sounds like alot of cons to it, but the nice, natural color is worth it. Until something better comes along, I will keep using this.

Lotions/ Creams -Bodycology - Vanilla Buttercream Lotion
rated 2 of 5
lovesittxx 7/27/2007 10:09:00 PM

I bought this as a cheap, random pick-me-up at Walmart one day. Sadly, it did not make me feel any better. For one thing, I could not find any large tubes, which was probably better anyways, since it would've gone to waste...But they only sold teeny little sample tubes for $1.50.It is a rich, creamy buttery lotion, not greasy. The initial scent is nice enough, rich vanilla frosting, but I detect a plastic undertone. And that overwhelms the vanilla scent eventually. So, alas, I did not like this.

Lotions/ Creams -Palmers - Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula
rated 5 of 5
lovesittxx 7/4/2007 1:39:00 PM

I used to use Queen Helene's Cocoa Butter, but it was really runny and greasier, so I tried this instead. This has a much nicer texture, in my opinion. It has the perfect amount of richness, but it is not too thick, and it sinks right in. There is no greasy residue whatesoever, no matter how much I use. The scent is really strong, but if you like a rich chocolate scent, you'll probably like it. I'm sure after awhile I will get tired of the scent, but for now, I love it! I will continue to buy this, since it is also so cheap!

Scrubs -Tree Hut - Almond & Honey Scrub
rated 5 of 5
lovesittxx 6/25/2007 3:14:00 PM

I am in love with basically everything from Tree Hut, which is suprising since I would have overlooked it otherwise if it wasn't for MUA. Anyways, I bought this scrub mostly based on the scent, which is absolutely delicious! It smells just like sweet almond oil and honey. But it's a very good scrub too! It's thick and rich, and a big scoop goes a long way! It left me smooth and smelling great! I would definitely buy this again!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara
rated 3 of 5
lovesittxx 6/13/2007 8:23:00 PM

After hearing so much hype on the boards about this being an HG mascara, I finally had to try it for myself. But alas, my quest for the perfect mascara is still on. It wasn't horrible, don't get me wrong. But it didn't do anything dramatic for me. I want my lashes to looks so thick and long that they border on fake. But this didn't do that even after 3 coats. It didn't clump on me or anything, but it didn't do much that made it stand out against any other mascara.
