I like this scent. It's a fairly simple white floral - Please Note it is NOT LIME - it is LIME BLOSSOM! As in FLOWER of the lime... thus, there will be nothing "limey" about it!! It lasts a fair time, doesn't give me a headache which most fragrances do, and I like it. Thus, I bought it!
I have a tin of this in my desk drawer, and use it a couple times a day! I really really like it - much better than BB Lemon balm, which did zippo for me! :-x This is a tad greasy for a minute or two, but then it really seems to soak in and moisturizes well, even after you think it's gone. My cuticles are a perennial mess, and I've tried a lot of things, and for my money, this and the infinitely more expensive Qtica are the bomb! Love the scent of the Badger - kind of a rosemary/ginger scent that's not too strong. Great stuff!
I've used Liquid Rock for several years, and it does rock my world! It is, hands down, the best deoderant I've ever used. It comes in several scents, but I nearly always just get the unscented one. I don't really care for the scented ones, as I don't like to smell my BO Juice, as DH calls it! :) As are all roll ons, it's wet and a titch sticky for a few minutes til it dries, but I absolutely do not stink with this!! Plus, there's no white stuff to rub off on your clothes. I have rebought it many times, and as long as they make this, I will use it. I don't care if I sweat - I just don't want to stink, and this keeps that from happening!
Powders -Unlisted Brand - Lehcaresor Papier Poudre

How I love these little guys.... They're wonderful for me! The only problem is that they're the devil to find!! I bought a whole box of 'em off ebay a while back, and they should last me an eternity. They're just lightly powdered paper sheets that both absorb oil and leave a light deposit of powder behind. They're just perfect for me, plus they're small and easy to carry, and do just what I want them to do.
Lip Treatments -Elizabeth Arden - Eight Hour Sheer Lip Tint in Honey
kimk 4/1/2008 3:25:00 PM
This is quite nice. The scent is sorta rosemary-ginger- ish to my nose- quite herbal, but I like it. It's not very strong so it's not an issue with me. The color is very nice also- warm honey brown that shows up a nice brown MYBB, if that makes sense. It lasts longer than I expected, but still, it's a sheer tint, so it's not long lasting by any means. The real downside of this is the cost! Yoikes, EA is proud of their stuff... I'll try and find them on ebay to save some sheckels. But I would absolutely rebuy these. I'm impressed with 'em!
This is a wonderful cleanser for normal/dry skin. It removes makeup nicely, tho I can't speak for eyemakeup, and I simply use a separate cleanser for that since my eyes are kinda touchy. It smells heavenly, and feels great on the skin. Rinses quickly and cleanly, doesn't strip the skin, nor does it leave it overly moisturized or greasy. Love the fact that it is paraben-free, too. I will absolutely re-purchase this!!
Have a sample of this which I've used for 3 or 4 days, and I have to say I really like it! yes, it's thick, but I've had none of the pilling or balling up problems hat others seem to have had. Maybe I just don't rub as hard... Anyway, it sinks rightin on my skin, has a slight but very nice scent, which disappaears almost immediately, and doesn't leave me shiny or greasy. I find it a wonderful base under foundation. When I'm done with the sample, this will be a definite full sized purchase for me. love it muchly!
Lipstick -Clinique - Butter Shine Lipstick - Nude Blush
kimk 2/19/2008 3:07:00 PM
Finally! A butter shine for warmtoned gals! All the others have been way too cool toned for me. This is very pretty. It's from the Spring '08 collection. It's a warm peachy/rose/terracotta shade, not too dark, not too deep, not too rose. It's very comfortable to wear, and lasts the usual amount of time for a glossy-ish lipstick (i.e., not long) :) Nonetheless, if you've been wishing for a warm toned butter shine, it's finally here! The other 3 new ones are warmer than many of the older ones, but this is the only one I'd call "Warm" toned.... My only real complaint is I don't like the shape of the lipstick itself. This is endemic to all the buttershines, not just this one. It's a large blunt angle, with no pointy tip on it, and I think it's hard to apply that way.
Lotions/ Creams -Neutrogena - Norwegian Formula Hand Cream

This is my HG nighttime hand cream. I've used this for over 25 years, and I haven't found anything I like better. It's heavy duty stuff - make no mistake! This does not soak in immediately. But it keeps my hands and cuticles intact during the winter, and so I use it at night right before beddy-bye time. :) It is awesomely effective - if I haven't used it for a few days, I can really tell, and I can tell a difference after the first use. I love it and have bought countless tubes of it, and will do so to the end!
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet, but here goes. This puts any eyeshadow base to absolute shame. I've used UDPP, Mac, EL, the late Revlon one, and this stuff beats 'em hands down. It comes in a lipgloss-like wand container, so you have to dab a bit on your lids then blend it, but it leaves the smoothest, most even canvas for shadows imaginable. It does NOT crease, come hell or high water, but removes easily with eyemakeup remover. I'll buy this as long as I wear eye makeup. It ROCKS, plain and simple.
Ok, I have normal/dry skin and since I didn't see any reviews from this skin group for this product, I thought I'd write one. I have used this for a couple weeks now, based on Paula B's review of it, and it's just fine for my skin! It cleans very thoroughly, but doesn't seem to over dry or strip my skin. I use retin-a Micro, and in the winter my kisser gets dry and flaky, and while this doesn't cure it, it doesn't make it any worse! :) It's gentle enough that I can use it every day, and not have overdrying problems. I give this 2 snaps up - am going to get one of the duo paks of it now on sale at CVS!
Sunscreen -Good Skin - All Calm Gentle Sunscreen SPF 25
kimk 1/8/2008 2:24:00 PM
This is not a moisturizing sunscreen. It doesn't work very well for me in the winter, but in summer it's dy-no-mite under my foundation. I am hugely impressed with this stuff - most sunscreens leave me greasy, and that's not easy to do! :) I sometimes wear it alone if I'm not doing much, and it really is a good sunscreen. I can't do Parsol 1789 so I need a physical block, and this is as good a one as I've found!
Criminy, I can't believe I haven't reviewed this already! This is amazing shampoo! I have short, color treated hair, and many 'poos leave it feeling crispy and overly dry, but this stuff doesn't!! I bought 3 litre bottles of it when a place was clearancing it out b/c Nexxu had the temerity to go "public" instead of salon exclusive, and I won't need to buy any for prolly a couple years, but this is wonderful stuff. Lathers nicely, smells like heaven, cleans without stripping... Cant' think of a bad thing to say about it! :D
Skincare - Face -Estee Lauder - Take It Away total make up remover
kimk 1/2/2008 3:03:00 PM
I don't like this much. First, it stings my eyes like crazy, and I don't have sensitive eyes. Second, I hate the smell. To me, it smells nice at first - for about 2 seconds, then it morphs into the exact scent of waterless hand cleaner. UGH! does an ok job of removing makeup but it's not a cleanser, per se. I will not be buying this again.
Lipstick -Elizabeth Arden - Ceramide Plump Perfect Lipstick - Perfect Bare
kimk 12/19/2007 9:40:00 AM
I have to agree with both the reviews below! This is one fine lipstick! It's smooth and creamy without being greasy, and leaves a nice natural finish. It's a perfect bare MLBB shade on me (NC25-30) This is one of the best purchases I've made in a while - I'm very impressed with the Ceramide Plump Perfect lippies. I see no "plumping" whatever, but that's fine... It's just advertising. I would absolutely buy this again. EA is a vastly underrated line, and is getting better all the time. Wish they'd make a little more noise - they'd get noticed more! But for now, I'm going to keep them and in particular this lippie a little secret! :D
