Some of the shades offered are pretty, but I can't get past the sticky feel of it on my lips. I will still occasionally use these when I get a GWP, but I usually give them away.
I bought two sets of PC brushes several years ago and I still use them. The price was reasonable and I love that they are soft & full and deliver an even amount of product to my skin...BUT I have to gripe about the shedding of the powder and blush brushes. I have to pick little hairs off my face almost every time I use these.
Polishes -Maybelline - Wet Shine Nail Enamel in Juicy Tomato [DISCONTINUED]
josiecat 6/23/2009 12:46:00 AM
This is a fun & bright tomato red polish. It leaves a creamy, shiny finish w/ no shimmer. Application is easy and smooth - not too thin or thick. I'm a runner so occasionally I get a bruised toenail & this polish does not cover the bruise as easily as OPI red polishes do, but under normal circumstances two coats is perfect. It wears well, lasting as long as my OPI polishes. This has become a favorite of mine.
Eye Shadow -Clinique - Touch Tint for Eyes - Nude Sparkle [DISCONTINUED]

I wear this under a matte cream/nude powder eyeshadow. It is an excellent eyeshadow base and it has just the right amount of subtle shimmer. The texture is velvety and it applies very smoothly so you only need a tiny amount. I know that as you get older you are supposed to steer clear of shimmer but I can use this for day or evening and it does not make my eyes look crepey at all.
This is an excellent bronzer and is great for contouring. The color is very believable - not too orange, red or muddy looking. It doesn't go on streaky and it's highly pigmented so you don't have to keep piling it on. This could probably function nicely as a natural looking blush too.
Concealers -Everyday Minerals - Multi-tasking Concealer

I haven't tried using this under my eyes because I'm afraid that it may settle into fine lines, but it works beautifully to cover any red spots on my face. It's really flawless and it only takes a tiny amount to cover any problem area. I ordered a sample size of it and I expect it to last a looong time.
Concealers -Cover Girl - fresh complexion concealer
josiecat 1/30/2009 8:56:00 PM
I've used this concealer for years. The coverage isn't heavy so it won't help too much with serious undereye darkness or redness, but it does a good job with minor red spots and mild undereye darkness without being cakey and dry. The consistency is very good too - not too thick or too thin.
This shampoo, along with the corresponding conditioner, made my hair too slick and limp. This may work better for someone with very dry and/or coarse hair. I have a lot of hair, but it's fine in texture so some products, especially one with lots of silicones, can make my hair really go flat and limp.
Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Malibu 2000 Well Water Action Shampoo
josiecat 1/30/2009 8:23:00 PM
I use this shampoo periodically because we have hard well water. If I use it too often it dries out my scalp and hair too much. Sulfate free doesn't = gentle. In fact, the cleansing ingredients in many sulfate-free shampoos are harsher than sulfates.
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Complex 15 Therapeutic Face Cream

I have tried many moisturizers over the years and while I've liked several of them just fine, I've always had a problem with my skin getting too oily. I am 40 years old and although my skin is somewhat oily, it can also get dry and flaky sometimes due to RAM use. This moisturizer is HG for me. It's moisturizing without being greasy at all and it's so inexpensive.
Apparently this becomes rancid very quickly, even by the first use in my case. The stench was unbelievable. For a moment I wondered if it was supposed to smell that way but I quickly dismissed that thought because it was such an obvious rotten odor. I would definitely not repurchase this and I don't recommend it to anyone since it goes bad in such a short amount of time.
Gels/Soaps -Unlisted Brand - Cleo Shower Cream - Vanilla

I first got this as a GWP from Drugstore.com. I have since repurchased several times. This is easily the best smelling body wash ever. It leaves my skin feeling soft and the scent lingers on my skin after my bath. It really smells wonderful, not artificial at all. The chocolate scented one is really nice too.
I love this color. It is the most flattering pink/plum berry toned lipstick I've ever used. I can wear it to work or for an evening out. I've found myself using this a lot lately.
Lip Treatments -Paula's Choice - Lip and Body Treatment Balm
josiecat 11/17/2007 8:48:00 AM
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this before now since it is absolutely the best lip balm I've ever used, and I have tried many. I've been using this for a couple of years and chapped lips are a thing of the past for me. It isn't as soft and slippery as Vaseline and you have to rub it to soften it, but it will stay on your lips for hours! I put it on before bed and it is miraculously still there when I wake in the morning. My lips stay soft and supple, even in the winter. It's also great to use under your regular lipstick. I like that it isn't scented or minty, and since those things will just contribute to irritation or dryness, they don't belong in a treatment/balm anyway. I've repurchased this several times and will continue to do so. HG product for me.

I also keep this in the fridge. I don't use it on a regular basis, but it's very soothing in the summertime when the weather is humid and my face is oilier than usual. Keeping it cold helps to reduce under-eye puffiness.
