Toners -L'Occitane - Purifying Rice Toner
rated 1 of 5
glitteradi 3/16/2011 7:01:00 AM

To me this was not a good toner. My skin is pretty normal and I have no problems with unclear skin, but after I started using this toner regularly, I got small white head pimples and really uneven skin. It also leaves my skin feeling dirty and it does not feel fresh.

Mascara -MAC - Pro Longlash
rated 1 of 5
glitteradi 2/5/2011 12:59:00 PM

This is quite honestly disappointing. It is totally unreliable becuase it cannot survive a drop of humidity. On the wintertime this is a no go. And it really does not keep my lashes lifted at all. It just coats them with color, which also fades. One night I took my makeup off and there was nothing on the cotton ball. Mascara had disappeared somewhere to the outer space I quess.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush Duo - Hot Planet (Grand Duos coll.)
rated 4 of 5
glitteradi 11/12/2010 7:58:00 AM

I bought this together with Buddy Up and I really did not know they are this similar. Hot Planet has more glow and is a tad lighter than the Buddy Up. But other than that they are quite similar in shade. It also reminds me of MAC Sunbasque but Id say sunbasque is something thtas easier to wear as it is not as pigmented. Just like with Buddy Up I could get this color to work for my NW 20 skin just as I could get almost any color to work somehow but I know it requires too much work and this is the kind of blush that is sort of flushed all the time and honestly I dont let the blush play the lead role on my makeup any more as often as I used to. I do recommend this color to darker girls or for the fairer "cheeks" girls who like to let their cheeks to play the big role.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Buddy Up
rated 4 of 5
glitteradi 11/12/2010 7:51:00 AM

It is a good quality blush because it does not feel discusting and dry powdery on the skin and it really is pigmented. I cant rate this product badly just because the color I picked was wrong. So buddy up is really deep on the skin and to my light skin it just needs too much work to get it work. It is basicly a burgundy shade with warm undertones. It just looks like too much makeup on my NW 20 skintone.

Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Sparkling Dew
rated 3 of 5
glitteradi 11/6/2010 10:08:00 AM

To me this shadow was nothing special. It is really not quite pigmented so I have to put on lot before it will actually be an eye opening shade. I also notice that this shadow is not long lasting on skin. I really think that all Laura Mercier Shadows have just as poor lasting power as Nars shadows. I prefer MAC Jest or Ricepaper for this or even the lightest shades of Covergirl Ice Princess quad.

Blush -NYX - Nutmeg
rated 3 of 5
glitteradi 11/1/2010 1:24:00 PM

This is such a wonderful product for contouring. It is neutral so it does not give you that orangey cast on your face. However I dont like how powdery it feels on my face. I know it is a powder blush but some blushes just feel too dry on my dry skin, this being one of them. It also does not seem to stick on my skin very long time. I have the same dryness problem with many powder blushes such as MAC, Dior, Revlon, Clarins, Estee Lauder. For my dry skin I like Cargo blush, Chanel powder blushes and bronzer, Covergirl cheekers blush and Guerlain Bronzer. I am giving a change to MAC mineralize blushes that I am expecting in the mail. Of course I love the MAC blushcreme.

Blush -MAC - Mocha blush
rated 1 of 5
glitteradi 10/31/2010 12:09:00 PM

I do not know why this does not give me the effect what I am wishing. I mean it does not make me look youthfull and glowing but rather boring. This blush has just same effect on me as MAC Lilicent and Ladyblush had, nothingness bland boring and it does not bring out the color og my eyes. And it seems to disappear really really quickly. My colouring is Blond hair, NW 15 or 20 skintone and blue green cool toned eyes. I much prefer MAC laid back blush creme, or the discontinued Factory Cheekhue. Also MAC sunbasque worked better on me too because it gave me the glow because of the shimmers probably but the color was also pretty and rosy. I have been giving this blush plenty of chances to prove its goodnes, but it never just gave me that what I wanted, like today, I applied this blush together with Cargo Medium bronzer and I checked the mirror before I went out and all I see is the warmth of that Cargo bronzer and none of the POP of color on the cheekbones where I applied this blush. Is my skin really eating MAC blush? I even spriz some MAC fix+ on top of it and then I apply the blush again. Nothing is staying on here. MAybe Ill have better luck with mineralize blushes. This color is just not nice on me.

Eye Shadow -Kiko Cosmetics - Highly Pigmented Eye Shadow
rated 5 of 5
glitteradi 10/27/2010 5:52:00 PM

These are my new favourite shadows. Kiko is an italian boutique brand that is sold in large cities in europe. I bought mine in Berlin there is 2 stores in Berlin. In Finland and in Norway there is none so only downside with this brand that it is still so hard to find. These shadows cost well under 10 euros and there was a sale in the store I was so I think they were only 2 or 4 euros, I can not remember really. I have 5 colours and I like these overal better than MAC shadows, there are different finishes and I find these more vibrant and pigmented than MAC shadows. I especially like those mat shades here. I have 77 which is like MAC aquadisiac, but more pigmented and better. 41 is the most gorgeous purple shade that I know of really vibrant and mat. 03 is a camel shade that is really great mat shadow though I dont like it as much becasue it is a tad too warm for me. 87 is a pink with glitters and 68 is a silver with glitters. I like tham for party look and as a highlight and I loove that even though they are shimmery, they are not frosty shimmery taht brings the wrinkles out, weirdly.

Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 - Illuminating
rated 5 of 5
glitteradi 10/4/2010 11:07:00 AM

I love the Glow this gave me! But beware, not to wear this on photos, you will look like a frikkking grease ball. I took a photo of me with flash and I looked super greasy, but in a photo without flash I looked normal. It feels confortable on my dry skin and I think it is the best TM I have ever used.

Liquid -Christian Dior - DiorSkin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup SPF
rated 4 of 5
glitteradi 10/1/2010 9:46:00 AM

This is a great full coverage foundation and I did RUN and buy it when I heard that this has such a great coverage like MAC stufio Fix has also! I am MAC NW20 and I bought the Dior 022 which is honestly a little bitlighter than MAC NW 20 but also a better shade for me as the MAC NW 20 is a little too dark. But as it is a full coverage foundation it can look cakey if used too much. It has just a little downside for me: it braks me out. I can not use this foundation 2 days a rowe because it gives me zits to places I usually never get zits. I usually never get zits out of anything! I could put oil on my face and stil be fine. However I think that the problem might be my cleansing routine, I might need some more powerfull cleanser after using this foundation, since it is- after all- called diorskin FOREVER. Sos omething that is made to stay on Forever, probably needs some real hardcore stuff to get cleansed properly, just a cleansing towel probably wont do it at all.

Eyeliner -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Stay-In-Place Eye Pencil - Coffee 02
rated 4 of 5
glitteradi 9/20/2010 4:54:00 PM

This is a nice super soft pencil that glides on with ease compared to previous Estte Lauder Artist eye pencils and it has a very practical smudger which I like. These are quite similar to Clinique Quickliners in terms of how long it lasts on. I have a little bit hoody eye lids and whenever I wear any eye pencils I tend to get it under and over my eyes, they just dont last on me even tough I try to powder under and over, and apply shadow over sometimes it does help if I really powder and powder and use a dry finish base like Laura Mercier eye basics or Trish McEvoy base. But mostly it still smudges. I had kinda hopes for these pencils but it still smudge though it is better than many others. I bought black one and this Coffee one which is really nice deep neutral dark brown, no redness.

Bronzers -Chanel - Soleil Tan de Chanel - 62 Terre Epice
rated 5 of 5
glitteradi 9/20/2010 1:39:00 PM

I have to give this one 5 points. It is a great bronzer and it has totally natural color too. I am NW 20 and previously all bronzers have looked quite unnatural on me. They were either too yellow or brown or orange. Guerlain long lasting moisturizing bronzer was my favourite because it was longest lasting but it never was this easy to get right. This one has just perfect amount of pigment and it never looks patchy like the previous Chanel Irrelle Bronzer. Id say this is not as long lasting as Guerlain but it stays on pretty long with correct priming with cream blush and maybe MAC fix + on top. It Never looks tacky and I really hate that cheap too much bronzer look. Also it does not irritate or feel dry on my skin like Dior, MAC bronzer or Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess did. I love the Case too and I kind of like the brush it is good to have if you just dont have anything else. And it contains 11 grams of product which is more than usually. Color Wice I had 4 choses to make and it was easy to see that 2 lightest ones were too yellow to look like natural tan and the one darker one was too brown and dark, it would just have been muddy on me. Also when I was doind research to purchase this I wanted first to find ingredience list, to see if there was anything that was potentionally drying, but I could not find it online, so here it goes: Talc, Synthetic fluorphlogopite, Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate, Nylon-12, Lauroyl Lysine, Glycerin, Aqua (water), Methyl Methacrylate, Crosspolymer, Magnesium Myristate, Magnesium Stearate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Lauryl Methacrylate/Glycol Dimethacrylate Cross- Polymer, Aluminum Dimyristate, Aluminum Hydroxide, Dicaprylyl Ether, Potassium Sorbate, Methylparaben, tocopheryl Acetate, propylparaben, parfym fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Cassia Angustifolia seedpolysaccharide, Peg 8, Gellan Gum, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, PolyGlyceryl-2, Dipolyhydroxystearate, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, MAY CONTAIN: CI 15850 (red 7 lake) CI 77499 Iron Oxides, CI 77891Titanium Dioxine, Mica.

Cleansers -L'Occitane - Almond Apple Cleansing Oil
rated 3 of 5
glitteradi 9/19/2010 8:07:00 AM

When I first used this I was exited and I loved this becuase it is such a huge bottle, nice practical pump, and smelled great, removed all my heavy and waterproof makeup also in my eyes. I altually bought this because I wanted to have a remover which would take care of both my eye makeup and my face makeup. And first I did not notice any troubles with it but after about 50 % of bottle used I started noticing my eyes being really sore and itchy. First I thought it was my mascara or eye liner, but then I changed those but the unconfort would still continue, then I decided to try to cleanse my makeup with Garnier cleansing milk ( which surprisingly worked great even for eyes and waterproof makeup) and the uncofortable feeling with itching and soreness ended! So it is this cleanser to blame. I would not repurchase this because I want something to remove all my makeup, I am not so keen to oil cleanser for my face, I like better the feeling of milky cleanser. Too bad I have one extra bottle purchased.

Eyeliner -Laura Mercier - Cake Eyeliner in all shades
rated 2 of 5
glitteradi 9/12/2010 10:03:00 AM

This is an okay eye liner but it never goes on black enough for me. Id say it is just as easy to use as the Gel liners, but the line you get is much more modest and less shiny and deep. It does not ins'tensify the eyes enough for me but if you like natural look Id recommend it for you becuase it does not look harsh, ever. It also stayed on my eye lids just as good as MAc and Bobbi Brown gel liners which are not all day wearing on me. It does fade a little bit and if you have hoody lids it might give you panda eyes, but it is definately more reliable than many kohl pencils. Mainly the biggest problem I have with this is that it does not intensify my eyes enough. I have not used this to tightline because everytime I try that, I end up with sore eyes.

Skincare - Face -Yves Rocher - Riche Creme Deep Regenerating Creme
rated 5 of 5
glitteradi 9/11/2010 11:33:00 AM

I am 29 and I have never owned a full size of this but I have used several samples of the Riche creme line up and also each holiday when I visit my mom I borrow her creams. These are affordable when you buy them for 2 for 1 price or 50 % off sales which Yves Rocher has very often. I know these are made for mature skin, but I dont believe in treating skin after its age, but rather treating skin for its needs. Most of the time creams that are made for younger skin are always too light for me and I am left dry skinned, and I see no reason why I should not use these anti ageing products because obviously because of my dry skintype, I need more nourishment because also my skin would age faster if I did not give my skin the nourishment it craves. However back to the product, this has the really light and soft fragrance which I find rather pleasant and soothing. And it is so velvety soft cream and it sinks in right away, and my skin never feels dry after using Riche creme products.
