Polishes -OPI - Mermaid's Tears
fustyluggz 5/26/2011 10:23:00 PM
I usually shy away from colors like these. I'm NW20 and it's very hard to find greenish shades that don't look awful on me. I've always been a fan of the minty colored polishes, and though this isn't really mint, it's close enough. I really, really love this polish. I had to use 3 coats to make it opaque but it went on with the usual OPI quality (no streaks, bubbles, etc). I think this will be my go-to color for this summer. Gorgeous!

Lipstick -MAC - Sheen Supreme Lipstick - Bare Again
fustyluggz 5/26/2011 10:22:00 PM
Wow. I am seriously impressed with this range of lipsticks and this is, by far, the best color in my opinion. It's the perfect pink to mute my natural color just a bit and give it a VERY slight nude effect. The formula of these are amazing. They feel light on, they're opaque with very little product, they smell good, the packaging is nice, they last a long time on... I can't say enough good things about these and I don't even like lipstick! I have purchased three colors so far and have plans to pick up a few more as well as a backup of this.

Blush -MAC - Pink Cult
fustyluggz 4/24/2011 10:30:00 PM
I picked this up on a whim at my local Macy's and I have not used any other blush since purchasing this. I really wish I had gotten a backup because this is the blush I've been looking for forever. On my NW20 skin, it gives the most natural looking color that I've ever seen. It brightens up my skin but doesn't look bright, it adds just the right amount of color, it's just perfect.

Fragrances -Thierry Mugler - Angel
fustyluggz 3/29/2011 8:07:00 PM
The top notes of this fragrance, to me, smell like fruity armpits. Appealing, I know, but that's the only way I can describe it. Once it dries down to the middle notes I get more of the pleasant oriental, spicy notes with just a hint of the sweeness yet to come. After about 9 to 10 hours (yes, it really does last that long) I get the wonderful, amazing sweet chocolate/caramel/vanilla base notes. I DO NOT like the top notes of this fragrance, however, I am more than willing to look past it as it only lasts for an hour or so and then I get to smell *amazing* for the entire rest of the day. I put this on every morning at about 7am and it really does last until I go to bed (which is 11pm most nights). The bottle is gorgeous and very recognizable. This is a very sexy, spicy, sophisticated sweet scent and I will be wearing this for a very long time to come.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Walking on Eggshells
fustyluggz 3/24/2011 2:17:00 PM
This trio is really fantastic. I'm a neutral eye lover and this palette makes it so easy and foolproof. The champagne lid color is great, it reminds me a lot of Stila Kitten, MAC Naked Lunch, UD Sin, etc. The crease color is very nice and unlike any other in my army of brown shadows. The highlight color is even lovely, it's a light off white shade. All of these colors are shimmery, which may be a bit much for some people. I find them to be very well pigmented, blendable and the colors really work perfectly together. This is a staple in my collection and I highly recommend it to any neutral lover who wants a nice shimmer from time to time. For the price, you can't go wrong. Great product.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - The Olive Branch
fustyluggz 3/2/2011 7:46:00 PM
I assumed that since this shower gel is so runny it wouldn't lather well but it does. You have to give it a little bit of a shake to mix the gel with the oils that separate before using it. It cleans effectively and is more moisturizing than other shower gels by LUSH that I have tried. As usual with LUSH products, the real draw of this product is the scent. The smell of this is just... intoxicating. It's very musky, slightly sweet, heady, exotic... it would be great for men as well as women (I think a muskier scent like this on a woman is very sexy). I love this so much that I got the solid perfume because I want to smell like it ALL the time. I can faintly smell the shower gel on my skin after a day at work when I use it alone. I am usually drawn to much sweeter scents so my love for this took me by surprise but I am happy for it. A bit obsessed, but happy.

Polishes -Color Club - Wild At Heart
fustyluggz 2/19/2011 7:10:00 PM
Instantly one of my favorite polishes. I have several purple holos but none of them are as gorgeous as this. I only used one coat and got perfect opaque coverage. This was my first purchase from Color Club but after using this polish it won't be my last. If you are a purple loving girl, this polish will make you stare at your nails for hours. Perfection!

Powders -LUSH - Vanilla Puff dusting powder
fustyluggz 2/16/2011 10:31:00 PM
I really had to laugh at myself as I purchased this item, I wondered to myself if I would ever even use it. Surprisingly, I've used this every day since I purchased it and I've used it in many different ways. I've used it as a dry shampoo, I've used it on my bed before I go to sleep, I've used it after massage bars to soak up excess oils (this + Mange Too = <3), I've used it in my bra to soak up excess moisture and sometimes I pick it up just to smell it. It is a vanilla scent but it's a deep, musky type of vanilla - not a foody type. It's a very comforting scent for me, especially when used in my bed before I go to sleep. There's a spray that I got from Bath & Body works a long time ago that I use when I'm having trouble sleeping. It's a lavender and vanilla scented pillow mist (called Sleep) and this reminds me a lot of it only a more subdued version if that makes sense. I still find it funny that I spent $10 on a powder but after using (and loving) it, I'd definitely repurchase it.

Skincare - Body -LUSH - King of Skin Body Conditioner
fustyluggz 2/16/2011 10:21:00 PM
I really like the Aqua Mirabilis body butter so I wanted to try one without exfoliation. I got this one because it's larger than the others and I wanted to get the most for my money. I couldn't really smell it in the store and I wish now that I had been able to. It really does moisturize well but I can't get past the smell. I do not like it at all. It works well, just not for me so I gave the remainder of my bar to my friend and will try another one with a different scent.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Snow Fairy Shower Gel
fustyluggz 2/16/2011 9:53:00 PM
I use about 1/3 of this per shower than I do of my regular drugstore body washes and it lathers up just as well and does the job just as well. It cleanses thoroughly but it's nothing extremely special as far as moisturizing and things like that go. It really is a basic use this to get yourself clean product. The main draw, for me, is the scent. I cannot get over how good this smells. I also love the color - bright pink with glitter in it. I feel so girly when I use it. I got a small bottle in a gift set and loved it so much that I immediately purchased two larger sized bottles (and the Bubblegum lip scrub with the same scent but we won't go into that). I honestly really love this and have been using it as my daily shower gel. I will be very sad when I run out because it's only available at Christmas time.

Lip Treatments -LUSH - Bubblegum Lip Scrub
fustyluggz 2/13/2011 1:13:00 PM
Is it a necessary product? No, you can get the same results cheaper. Is it something I'm glad to have anyway? Yes! I have always had a huge problem with my lips being dry and flaking and this has helped a lot in correcting that problem. The scrub is hot pink and has the absolutely gorgeous Snow Fairy scent (reminds me of jelly beans or twizzlers). This exfoliates very nicely and leaves my lips soooo smooth and soft. I love that when I'm done rubbing it in I can just lick my lips and it even tastes good. $8 might seem like a lot for .8oz of product but you use such a tiny amount that it really will last a long time. LOVE this.

Concealers -Garnier - Anti-Dark-Circle Eye Roller
fustyluggz 2/9/2011 7:00:00 PM
I have been using this for about two weeks now and I was surprised at how good of a job this actually does at concealing. I was expecting it to be really awful because it's quite runny but it doesn't cake or sink into the fine lines under my eyes. I actually find myself using this over any of my other concealers because it's quick and easy to use and does a good job. I haven't really noticed any decrease in the puffiness under my eyes but the dark circles are barely there once I've used this. It does seem to have a little bit of an illuminating factor to it which I think is great in a concealer to help deflect light from that area. The only reason I really removed a lippie is because of the packaging, I'm not sure if others have the same problem but mine leaks a lot. Not enough to deter me though, I'm impressed with this product and do plan to purchase it again once I run out.

Lip Treatments -Jack Black - Intense Therapy Lip Balm spf 25
fustyluggz 2/6/2011 2:12:00 PM
This stuff is fantastic. Seriously. I have chronic dry lips and attribute a lot of it to using lip balm. The catch 22 is you use regular balm and it dries you out so you use more and it dries you out more. This lip balm is thick and lovely, you only need to use a tiny bit. I have the mint one and it makes my lips tingle which I love because I feel like it's really working to heal my lips, not just mask the problem. I like that it has spf 25 because people don't often think that their lips need that kind of protection as well as other skin. HG lip balm right here, folks.

Skincare - Body -LUSH - Mange Too massage bar
fustyluggz 1/30/2011 5:29:00 PM
I wish I could give this more than just 5 stars. I absolutely LOVE this massage bar. Out of all the massage bars that LUSH sells, this one gives you the most bang for your buck. The one I got is very large and after many, many uses it shows no real signs of wear. The smell of this is divine. It's got white chocolate, Mango, Honey, Vanilla, Banana and more. Oh em gee what a heavenly scent, it almost smells almost like cookies to me. It's very moisturizing and I love using it directly out of the shower. I just rub it in my hands until it starts to melt and then rub the oils into my skin. I will repurchase this again without hesitation, it's just a really lovely product.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Dream Cream
fustyluggz 1/27/2011 9:54:00 PM
I am absolutely crazy about this lotion. I got this for half off of the usual $24.95 price so that's fantastic for what I got. I love thick body creams vs regular lotions and this is the thickest, most luxurious cream I've ever used. This leaves my skin SO moisturized, SO soft and just really shiny and healthy looking. This tub will last me a long time but I know that I will be repurchasing when I run out. I took off one lippie because the scent is very herbal and really is an acquired taste... sometimes I still find it kind of unpleasant.
