Fragrances -Burberry - Brit

The tester at Sephora was empty, but that just made me more curious, so I purchased the EDT from only smelling the top of the bottle, and because a woman who I think was the manager recommended it over the Burberry Classic. I can see why! It's so lovely right when it's sprayed on, with the lime, pear and almond refreshing and uplifting! Then, the almond gets a bit sweeter with the peony, but still with the lime and then much later on me, the amber, mahoganywood, vanilla and tonkabean complete drydown. I've been very light handed with it until I know I'm in love and now I know I am, I will wear a little more, and perhaps it will last a tad longer. Next I will try the EDP... I feel happy and sexy wearing this, as it's a brilliant and inspired combination of sugar and spice. The bottle design varies, I think, but mine is cute, clear glass with a grey overlay of plaid, and the top is a cube of the same design. LOVE THIS!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer

This is a great product full of antioxidants and packaged properly to insure their efficacy. I was looking for a moisturizer, like the last reviewer, to soothe my skin and give it a nice long drink after using my retinol treatment, and also to give some of the antioxidants it needs at my age. Pricey, but I only need a pea size to cover my entire face, so this should last a good while. As the weather has become cooler, I was sporting a flaky patch that became red as I couldn't help but pick at it (bad girl), and also a lovely few hormonal pop outs, and this has helped everything in a couple of nights! My skin is smoother, not as parched and the after zit areas are smooth and calm. Happy face!!

Fragrances -Estee Lauder - Sensuous

This is my first review, and I was struck enough by this fragrance to write about it. My first impression while at the EL counter (purchasing makeup and not aware of the GWP and the sample I would get) was not favorable. I always disliked Youth Dew, and never got excited about any EL fragrance before. I spritzed it on a card, took it home in the bag, sniffed it once again and tossed it in my dresser. Then I passed by it later, got drawn in and thought that since I have a sample, I might as well put some on. I am not a fragrance fanatic. I've used a few scents over the years, but I have never found the perfect combination of staying power and gentle mystery that I've been seeking. Really sick of everything smelling the same! Sensuous is so amazingly different. It is a wonderful combination of warm, honey glazed amber ever so slightly balanced with peppery floral and a hint of orange. Not foody at all, and fairly linear, but I kept inhaling at my wrist thinking that if I was just meeting myself for the first time, I'd want to get to know myself better, LOL. It stays pretty close to the skin (one should never spray fragance on anything but), and the one spritz lasted all day, but the true test was when I asked my DH if he liked it, and he said "mmm...it smells so nice" and wanted to cuddle. Not a spring/summer fragrance but, perfect for fall and doesn't smell like anything else out there IMO. Wearing it is definitely different than smelling it in a test strip! Lastly, even though I might have caught a whiff of what I think was Sensuous on a few moms at the high school open house last night, I couldn't be sure because it's so different on me. Bottle design reminds me of Diva I bought in Paris once..not such a bad thing.
