Lip Gloss -Victoria's Secret - Beauty Rush- Juiced Berry
chowchowface 2/25/2008 7:06:00 PM
The best thing about this gloss is that while it's glittery in the tube, it doesn't look ultra glittery once it's put on nor do you feel the glitter grittiness on your lips. This one has the most color payoff (a semi-dark red) compared to most of the other Beauty Rush lip glosses but it still isn't very pigmented. The scent is a nice but slightly fake berry smell. It's perfect for a sheer-colored lip look that is simple but good for everyday wear.
I love Lip Lites but unfortunately, it seems like they're available less and less. The texture is very much like a waxy lip balm (it's not too waxy, though). It succeeds in keeping my lips moisturized and the color has great staying power. The scent is a very fake berry smell, but it's pleasant enough. Don't let the color on the packaging throw you off, though. It's actually more of a berry color than plum.
Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Juice Stick - Mango Tango

I rarely wear lipstick but when I want to look elegant but not over-the-top, I grab this! It's a beautiful muted dark pink/nude and it's as close to YLBB as you can get! :) When first applied, it goes on semi-sheer and with a light shine. It's very versatile and you can layer the color to get it as dark as you like. Another thing is, it's not drying even when worn alone. However, my preferred way of wearing this lipstick is applying this after applying Smith's Rosebud Salve to my lips. It makes the color slightly glossier but also a little bit more sheer.
Eye Shadow -Rimmel - Rimmel Underground-Stir It Up Eyeshadow in Whatever

This eyeshadow, when mixed up, goes on as a muted, shimmery red. It goes on very smooth and pigmented but not overly greasy. It's great as a base for any red or red/brown e/s. It creased on me a little bit after a few hours but pretty much anything creamy creases on me after a certain amount of time. It didn't crease *too* bad and, as I said, everything creases on me (even with UDPP). Still, I wouldn't hesitate using this again.
I got this for Christmas and I was kind of disappointed. I've never been into wearing perfume and wasn't too thrilled. However, the fragrance of this perfume is very light but floral. I don't think it smells "old woman-y" in the least and have received many compliments from girls my own age about it. Its perfect for everyday wear (not too strong or musky) and last a fairly long time on me. :)
I have been looking for a retractable/automatic pencil liner that had good staying power... and I finally found it! After going through about four or five different brands, I discovered that Milani made an automatically sharpened liner. Knowing that Milani generally has a fairly good reputation, I was eager to try this. It goes on really smooth and creamy.... it was so creamy that I worried it'd have no staying power and crease fairly quickly (even with UDPP). However, it has stayed put ever since I put it on early this morning and it's already the afternoon (so far so good). I love this and am planning on buying it in as many colors as I can find! :)
My opinion about this polish is not really about the color itself, but the price. The color is a sheer, glimmery white that is pretty nice. However, for a third of the price, you could easily get some NYC nail polish in a similar shade (with little or no quality difference). A little disappointing. :(
Eye Makeup Remover -Unlisted Brand - Target Eye Makeup Remover
chowchowface 2/19/2008 1:16:00 AM
I bought this because, usually, Target knockoffs are a pretty good deal. In this case, not so much. Perhaps it's good for sensitive eyes but to me, it wasn't strong enough to get all of my eye makeup off in a reasonable amount of rubbing. In order to get everything off, including liquid eyeliner, I had to scrub (and I know that couldn't have been good for my eye).
It was a good idea.... and I REALLY wanted to like this product.... but unfortunately, it didn't work out for me so well. I bought the brown/bronze duo and both the eyeliner and eyeshadow did not have ANY staying power for me. The eyeliner hardly lasted 2 hours. The eyeshadow lasted only a little longer before creasing (this is w/ UDPP). I really wish that someone would make an automatic liner that is really good! :)
Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Wet shine diamonds liquid in Marquise Peach

This gloss is slightly gritty but it's the perfect summer color (or nude color, for that matter). I got this at an ultra-clearance price so they must be d/c this gloss line, which is a shame. It goes on as a very sheer peachy-pink gloss with flecks of gold glitter. It's not very long lasting but for the price, it can't be beat.
Lip Gloss -Bath and Body Works - Liplicious- Pineapple Juice
chowchowface 2/18/2008 8:14:00 PM
This is a great gloss with no tint but the *perfect* amount of fine, non-gritty glitter. I always hate when I buy lip gloss that feels like sandpaper on my lips! However, this gloss has a very smooth but thick texture to it that is very long-lasting. Also, the scent is very light so it's good for people who prefer little or no scent at all.
Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - VitaGloss O2 Moisture Stick Simply Strawberry
chowchowface 2/18/2008 8:11:00 PM
This is one of the best Bonne Bell products ever made, I think! :) This balm adds a silky sheen to your lips that it very long-lasting! Also, it feels slightly heavier on your lips than normal Lip Smackers or chapstick, so you know that it's staying put. It has a very smooth texture and a pleasant, sweet fruity scent. It's also very "weather-proof", in that it protects against wind damage and such.
Highlighters -Smashbox - Highlighter Duo in Femme Fatale
chowchowface 2/18/2008 8:06:00 PM
I love this duo! It's a peachy-gold shimmer paired with a deep maroon shimmer. The maroon color is great as a cream blush (my first venture into that area, too). The highlighter gold-y shimmer, while it seems jam-packed with large shimmer particles (not quite glitter),does not go on looking like glitter. It adds a very lovely sheen that looks radiant for nearly every skin tone.
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Bright Duo - Riotous #328
chowchowface 2/18/2008 8:02:00 PM
These two greens go great together. The light green is actually more of a shimmery yellow-green and is very unique. The darker green is more of a dark olive green than a forest green, I think. Both colors are beautiful when used together and can be easily paired with other to make a great and unique eye look. The texture is very smooth and the color payoff is fairly good, one of the best out of all the HIP duos I've tried so far.
This was my first Two Faced eyeshadow purchase and I love it! I have never been a fan of blue eye shadows (even though I have blue-gray eyes) but I couldn't resist the beautiful iridescent blues in this duo. One is a sky blue with a purple shine (I don't know to otherwise explain it, it turns a medium purple when the light shines on it a certain way). The other is a sky blue with a light blue shine. It's beautiful, vibrant, and has a wonderfully silky texture.
