Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Benetint

Got this in a swap and I had pretty high expectations but truth be told, I hated it. You have to apply it one cheek at a time so that it does not stain before you can blend it out and it stains your fingers. I also felt this blush was almost non existent on my cheeks. Absolutely not worth the price. I ended up swapping mine away.As far as the packaging goes, I didn't mind the brush but it's not ideal. I would not buy this again.

Makeup Brushes -NARS - 27 - Yachiyo

I have owned this brush for about 5 or 6 months and I really had no desire to use it after trying it a few times. It really didn't do it for me, I felt it picked up way too much product and deposited too much in one spot. I started reaching for this everyday for the last 2-3 weeks. I initially grabbed it in a rush and have fallen in love. I must have needed to learn a better technique because all the complaints I had are no longer a problem. I feel this blush works amazing and I almost want to buy another. It's very expensive for me, in terms of what I prefer to pay for a blush brush but it was well worth the $50.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Dandelion

For years I contemplated buying this blush/highlighter whatever you prefer to call it and I just kept skipping over it and finally I decided to pull the trigger on a 500 point perk that included a full sized one of these. Who wouldn't choose free? Ok so anyhow, the color is a soft muted kind of dusty pink with no shimmer. I have heard people say this did not show up on their skin whatsoever so I was a tad worried but in the winter I'm an NC20 and I have never had a blush not show up yet. As of right now I'm somewhere between NC20 & NC30 and it looks great. It is a complete foolproof blush in my opinion. It's also very subtle and I like that on some days. I use my Nars Yachiyo brush and it applies just the right amount of product. I got the new style box with the magnetic attached lid and I like it but no more or less than the old style boxes. The brush got chucked immediately, I just have no use for those things. I got this for free but I would buy this again!

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Bella Bamba
rated 5 of 5

I wanted this blush the second it was released then somehow talked myself out of it. I picked it up a month or so ago and I really like it. I'm not over the moon in love with it like I am some other blushes but I enjoy it. It's a watermelon pink with gold sparkles, I see no sparkles on my fave though. I didn't really like the "box" part of the Benefit blushes when I first got into them but now I really think they are cute. This one specifically has the magnetic top which is nicer than the old style. I do find when I use my Nars Yachiyo brush to apply there is quite a lot of loose powder inside the box after swirling, but it doesn't seem to be a chalky blush on the face. I would most def buy this blush again, it just adds the perfect pop of pink on my cheeks!

Blush -MAC - Fever
rated 5 of 5
carrasco 9/11/2011 8:27:00 PM

I am NC20 in the winter and right now I'm somewhere between that and NC30, I love this blush. I've always been drawn to bright, vivid or dark blushes even tho I am fair. This one fits right into that category since it's a dark bergundy matte color. I tap a large powder brush into the pan 1 time, followed by a tap on the back of my hand. I then apply and blend. I have no issues with blending and it really does give a great flush to the cheeks. It can look like you really do have a fever if applied too dark. I find this specific color doesn't resemble anything else I have, so yes I would def repurchase if I ever run out.

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen Creme Cup
rated 5 of 5

This lipstick looked awful on me. I just can't pull off any pink I guess(this one or hue). I loved the cremesheen formula but that's about it. I love the smell of Mac lipsticks and the sleek black packaging. I still give this 5 lippies because the color not being for me is nothing bad against the product but I would not buy it again. For reference I am NC20 with pretty pigmented lips.

Lotions/ Creams -Carmex - Healing Lotion
rated 5 of 5
carrasco 8/17/2011 1:16:00 PM

I hate Carmex, the smell is just awful. Well so I thought. I picked up the healing cream for my husband since he has very dry skin and he liked it, but he didn't love it. I just happened to grab a few mini's of the lotion at Wal-Greens checkout for my purse and have really fallen in love with it. The smell is pretty close to carmex lip stuff but more creamy smelling. I soaks right in and leaves skin feeling smooth and soft and not greasy. I use this on my feet, hands and elbows but no where else. I will buy this again.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Poppy by Coach
rated 4 of 5
carrasco 8/15/2011 2:59:00 PM

I got this for Mother's day from my husband. I had only smelled it from a sample inside a magazine. One of my best friends also mentioned this several hundered times and I was quite excited to have received it. Now onto the scent. Coach describes this as a "Sweetly scented jasmine and gardenia blend with fresh cucumber and candied rose petals". I always gravitate toward sweet scents & I normally hate anything gardenia but I really cannot smell it to be quite honest, but I do smell jasmine. All in all this is a quite fruity smell that doesn't have the best staying power and for $65 that's a little frustrating. I do get a few compliments here and there but the funny part is my friend who is in love and wants this based on the few times she got a chance to smell it, still can't guess what I'm wearing. I probably would not buy this again, but if my husband buys it again I'll wear it.

Polishes -OPI - Chick Flick Cherry
rated 5 of 5
carrasco 8/10/2011 2:05:00 PM

I just picked this up a few days ago and have fallen in love. I've been wearing it for 3 days straight with seche vite and have had no chips. I own a few reds and none look like this. It's a deep cream red and only needs 1 coat in my opinion, but I apply 2. I really didn't think a red could stand out this much but it's gorgeous. As with all OPI's I love the fat brush. I would absolutely buy this again.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Pink Grapefruit Body Lotion
rated 5 of 5
carrasco 8/3/2011 3:40:00 PM

LOVE this lotion. I got it for $3 during a sale and wish I would've stocked up. This has got to be one of my all time favorite scents and I can't believe I never owned it before. I initially had this in my stash and just happened to grab it for my kids to use at swimming lessons after their shower. Needless to say they left smelling delicious. I smell the obvious pink grapefruit and orange. This is just perfect for summer. I've since moved this into my cupboard and I use it every single day! I will def repurchase.

Blush -Tarte - Amazonian Clay Long-Wear Blush in Natural Beauty
rated 5 of 5
carrasco 8/3/2011 11:02:00 AM

This was my 2nd of 4 Tarte AC blushes and it's my second favorite next to Flush. The color is a pinky strawberry, as stated by others and leans toward a muted red. I see a very few sparkles in the pan but when applied none whatsoever. I really have no issues blending or applying this. I use a big fluffy blush brush and tap into the pan then onto the back of my hand and apply. I usually do this twice but have gotten away with doing it only 1 time. I find this blush being a reddish tone gives me a nice flush to my cheeks and doesn't make me look like a clown either. I have used mine at least 7 or 8 times and looking at the pan you would never even think it was used at all. I also wouldn't say it lasts 12 hours but more like 6-8. However, it is summer and humid as heck. I love the packaging, it matches the blush so it's easy to tell which one you are picking up and a mirror is a huge plus. I would def buy this blush again!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Fez
rated 5 of 5
carrasco 8/2/2011 3:15:00 PM

This color is a dark bronze/brown and is super soft and blendable. The issue I have is it's exactly like Mac's Mulch, in color not texture. I own both and although I really love Nars packaging, texture and colors I tend to use colors that are in my palette like my Mulch. I love neutrals and gravitate toward browns since I have brown eyes and this color is really amazing as an all over color or in the crease. I would buy this again if I did not own the other.

Bronzers -Too Faced - Pink Leopard Bronzing Powder
rated 5 of 5
carrasco 8/2/2011 12:36:00 PM

I got this in a swap but I was going to purchase it had I not swapped for it. Right now I'm close to NC35 and it really doesn't show up as much besides a shimmer on my cheeks so I apply it like blush and pop a bright color only on the apples. Colors that work good for that pop are Nars Mounia, Nars Dolce Vita and Mac Salsarose. When I'm not so dark it's amazing rose bronzed color and I use it alone as blush. I've never really used it as a bronzer since it seems way too shimmery for that and it seems a bit too brown for a highlight. If you are thinking about trying this I saw at Sephora they sell a mini for either $10 or $15 at the checkout. I think the packaging is a bit bulky but I do like the flip lid. I will def buy this again and I noticed the packaging isn't square and bulky anymore, it's a nice sleek round compact. Mine has a huge bit of pan and this will be my next purchase since this is my "go-to" blush.(I'm NC25 now)

Blush -NARS - Deep Throat
rated 4 of 5
carrasco 8/1/2011 5:33:00 PM

I waited years to actually buy this blush and when I finally did, huge let down. It's a peachy pink just like everyone has stated and really wasn't anything special to me. I think it would be great for someone who likes subtle blushes and if your fair but this just didn't do it for me. I didn't take away any lippies just because I didn't like the color on me. The softness and blendability of Nars blushes is amazing and I love the packaging. Sadly I won't repurchase this specific color but I will buy others.

Eye Shadow -NARS - Cairo
rated 4 of 5
carrasco 7/14/2011 3:18:00 PM

This color is a nice sandy beige taupe with an ever so slight purple tone to it. Not quite matte, it has a slight sheen. No chunky glitter or sparkles though. Right now I'm NC35 and I pretty much felt like it was a whole lotta nothin on the lid this morning. I do however love the texture and softness of the shadow. I prefer to wear this in the winter when it's more easy to see with my NC20 skin. It works good as an all over lid color with something darker in the crease or alone for a wash of color. I love the packaging and I would maybe repurchase.
