Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion
rated 4 of 5
beautifuldreamer324 8/20/2011 9:53:00 PM

Picked this up on a whim at Walmart. I originally wanted to get the Natureluxe mascara, but this was a better deal because it included the Perfect Point Plus eyeliner for only $9.99. This doesn't give me super full lashes like with the Avon Supershock MAX, but this my lashes look defined. Each of my lashes are perfectly separated and visible, no clumping like I've experienced with volumizing mascaras in the past. This gives nice length. I could go for more volume, but this is great for everyday use. I love that it's waterproof too. I'm glad I picked it up. Highly recommend.

I have this in 2 shades. Divine and Temptation, and i LOVE them both. This is a great quality lipstick. The color lasts all day too. I actually like these better than MAC lipsticks. I'll be trying more shades. Highly recommend. Pigmentation is great, long-lasting- what more could you want in a lipstick!Oh & they don't dry out my lips.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre - Electro (Neo Sci-Fi Collection)

like the fun orange packaging. picked this up at the CCO because I wasn't even into MAC When Neo Sci Fi was released. This is the perfect true orange. it doesn't pull red at all on my lips straight true orange. The texture is nice and creamy. It doesn't dry out my somewhat dry lips. I love the finish of this. I like to pair this with a neutral eye & peach or coral cheeks. LOVE this.

Highlighters -Revlon - Age Defying Spa Illuminator Pink Light
rated 5 of 5
beautifuldreamer324 7/27/2011 10:09:00 AM

I've been on the search for this for awhile, and I couldn't find it anywhere. I went to Rite Aid last night, not expecting to find this, and it was there! There was only 1 left in Pink Light, but they had several in Gold and Nude Light. I grabbed the last pink one. I had heard that this was a dupe for Benefit High Beam, which I didn't want to invest money in. I really like this on my medium-tan warm skintone. Surprisingly, this works really well. The consistency is thinner and easier to blend than NAR'S new illuminators. The consistency is similar to a lotion. This isn't over the top or glittery like other illuminators. It gives a nice, natural glowy shimmer. Great drugstore find. I got this 20% with my wellness card. Check this out when the drugstores have the bogo sales, especially if you want to try various colors. The only thing I don't like is the packaging. I don't care for the attached brush. Too much product came out the first time I used this. They should redo the packaging.

Cleansers -Aveeno - Clear Complexion Cleansing Bar
rated 2 of 5
beautifuldreamer324 7/18/2011 1:10:00 AM

I had good results with the cream cleanser from this line years ago, and I'd always heard great things about Aveeno, so I decided to try this to clear up a recent breakout. This caused me more damage than it was worth. Instead of helping with the 2 blemishes on my forehead that were healing, this created more! I woke up with a forehead full of small itchy under the skin whitehead like bumps. The itch was incredible, and these were impossible to cover. I immediately switched back to the Purpose cleanser that I'd been using and it's been calming my skin down. I'm still trying to clear this mess up. I"m never touching this again. My skin is sensitive and I'm allergy prone. Something in this product didn't agree with my skin.

Cleansers -Purpose - Gentle Cleansing Wash
rated 5 of 5
beautifuldreamer324 7/18/2011 1:07:00 AM

My skin has been acting up a lot lately in cystic under the skin blemishes that were hard to treat. The Noxzema blemish pads that I usually use didn't work this time. I was at my wits end. I had no idea what cleanser to use. There were so many in the drugstore and super centers to choose from. I wasn't sure what acne cleanser to try. I decided to pick this up because it's a gentle cleanser, and I'd heard such great reviews. (This has the same ingredients as the Clean & Cleanser sensitive skin cleanser, but I couldn't find that anywhere, so I picked this up.) This is quite pricey, but the container with a pump is nice. This didn't work miracles right away, but it's slowly but surely calming my skin down and helping to clear it up. (I actually switched one night to the Aveeno Clear Complexion bar and woke up with a forehead full of small itchy irritated bumps that I'm still trying to clear up! I immediately went back to this, and it's helping.) This is a nice basic no frills cleanser suitable for all skin types. It's very basic and contains no acne medications. I'm glad that I didn't choose a medicated cleanser because my skin is so sensitive and I didn't want a repeat of the reaction that I got my using Noxzema last fall. I have been using this and the Clean & Clear Persa 10 Gel treatment as needed. My only issue with this is that is can be quite drying. (The area around my nose is prone to getting very dry and developing flakey dry patches. I was prescribed cream for this before.) This cleanser dried out my skin (which helped with oil control), but it really caused the dry patches around my nose to flare up. Moisturize frequently with this. Other than that, this is a really great basic cleanser. I can't compare to Cetaphil because it's been 2 years since I've used their liquid cleanser (I had excellent results with it), but this one is worth trying out and great for sensitive skin. I will continue to be patient and use this.

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Foaming Facial Cleanser - Sensitive Skin
rated 5 of 5
beautifuldreamer324 7/18/2011 12:56:00 AM

I picked this up last fall after I had a bad reaction to the Noxzema foaming facial cleanser. This did a great job at cleansing and calming my skin down. I used this for quite a while and finished the entire bottle. This is a great BASIC no frills cleanser without harsh additives. This cleansed well and removes makeup and gets the job done. I would have repurchased, but I started selling MARK and decided to try the Mark That's Deep Cleanser. This is still a great cleanser and I would purchase it again. I compared the ingredients on the back of this and the Purpose cleanser (which I have now), and they are EXACTLY the same, except the Clean & Clean was cheaper. (That's how I ended up with C&C over Purpose in the first place. The only reason that I recently picked up the Purpose is that I was unable to find the C&C sensitive skin cleanser at the Target and Walmart that I went to. I do highly recommend this as an excellent basic cleanser for sensitive skin.

Tinted Moisturizer -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Enhancer SPF 20
rated 5 of 5
beautifuldreamer324 7/16/2011 11:49:00 PM

I picked this up on a whim at Walmart. I was debating between trying this and the Sonia Kasuk tinted moisturizer from Target. I never made it to Target, but since I saw this at Walmart, I figured I'd give it a try. (Still want to try the Sonia one.) This is very sheer coverage (in my opinion, not as sheer as the CG Smoother TM, which I didn't care for.) This feels nice on the skin and gives good sun protection (SPF20). It evens out skintone nicely and feels soft on the skin. My skin can get oily in the t-zone throughout the day, but it didn't really get very oily when I had it on. This gives a nice healthy glow to the skin. I like that this has a pump too. This does smell like sunscreen. My only gripe with this product is it's poor color range and lack of colors to choose from. There are six shades, but there aren't any shades for women of color/darker complexed women to choose from, which is such a shame because this is a nice product. I am NC40/42 in MAC, and I wear Medium to Olive 60 in this, which is the darker shade. Anyone darker than about NC43 woudn't be able to wear this. Shame on you Neutrogena for not making shades to cater to the the beautiful women with deeper skintones. I've noticed this with all of the Neutrogena face products. You would think with Gabrielle Union as one of the Neutrogena covergirls, they would have shades to atleast fit her skintone! I'm giving this 4/5 stars because of the shade issue. Other than that, this is a nice quality product. I paid $10 and some odd change for this, and you get 1 fl oz, which is a decent price compared to high-end products. update 10/1/11- im still loving this. it makes my skin so soft thanks to the retinol and looks amazing with the mac studio careblend powder over top! i'll repurchase this for sure!

Eye Shadow -NYX - 3 Color Eyeshadow
rated 2 of 5
beautifuldreamer324 7/16/2011 10:33:00 PM

I guess I'm in the minority here, because i didn't care for this product. I have this in the shade Peretual. It comes with a strawberry pink color, lime green, and brown eyeshadow. I don't find that this blends well at all, and in my experience, it fades off throughout the day. (I don't use eye primer, and I've never had to. This is my first NYX product. I hope that the other eye products are better than this.

Liquid -MAC - Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
beautifuldreamer324 7/16/2011 4:49:00 PM

I sampled this in NC42 (i wear NC40 in Studio Fix Fluid & NW35 Pro Longwear). Regardless of all of the negative reviews, I really like this. I actually like the fine sparkles in this. It's not overpowering. I like the consistency. It's almost gel-like and very like. It's not heavy like the Studio Fix Fluid. The Pro Longwear kind of reminds me of the Revlon Colorstay (consistency wise-- i do like Colorstay better). This is not full coverage. It's more on the light-medium side. This is easy to blend with fingers. I will be purchasing this. This does run lighter, in my experience, than the Studio Fix Fluid. When in doubt, go to the counter & get matched. I'm giving this a 4/5 because of the price. It's $29.50 for one oz. There are a lot of drugstore foundations where you get 1oz for half of the price of this or less. Other than the price, I do like this foundation. update 10/2/11- I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. My skin is somewhat oily/somewhat dry (more oily in the summer, very dry in the winter). I LOVE this foundation. I set it with my Studio Careblend Pressed Powder. I'm different shades in different MAC foundations. In this NC42 is perfect. This gives a luminous glowy finish and lasted me all day. I will purchase this. update 10/23/11- still loving this. i still have plenty of product left in the sample size. I will be purchasing this. This looks so natural. The color NC42 blends in so perfectly, that you can't tell I have foundation on (a good thing). I don't get a white cast in photos either. Update 11/27/11- so far, this is the most photogenic foundation i've tried. this looks the best and most natural in photographs than any other foundation that I have. doesn't give a white cast with the flash or anything. has a nice glow to it.

Lips -Cover Girl - Natureluxe Gloss Balm

I have this in Coral, and I really like it. It's a gorgeous apricot shade on my lips. The pigmentation is pretty good. It moisturizes my lips really well. I love how it makes my lips moisturized but still adds soft color. I'd love to try this is a different color.

Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20
rated 3 of 5
beautifuldreamer324 6/28/2011 10:38:00 AM

I received this in a swap on here in the shade sand. The color is a nice match. It looks so natural on the skin, like I have nothing on. The coverage is nice, but my skin didn't care for this. I had blemishes from this the next morning after using it (my skin is sensitive, but I haven't had problems with any foundation that I've used yet like this). I won't be using this again. Also, I'd never pay for this. The price is ridiculously high for what it does. I'll stick with my Mark Get A Tint.

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
beautifuldreamer324 6/28/2011 10:12:00 AM

I received this in a swap on here, and I have it with the pump. I have NC40, and I really like this foundation. It gives good coverage and looks and feels natural on the skin. (A little goes a long way!) I don't use much of this, so I don't find it to feel heavy or look cakey. I apply with my fingers. This gives a nice, flawless natural matte finish. I have oily skin in the summer, and this foundation is really good with oil control. I have to blot less with this on. It lasted all day long and didn't fade off. I actually like this better than the MAC Pro Longwear. My skin is pretty sensitive and this didn't break me out (the Laura Mercier TM & Avon Magix Cashmere foundations broke me out pretty badly). This is something that I would be using for special occasions and days when I need more coverage. I really like this foundation so far, and I'm impressed. *Many people say that Revlon Colorstay is a dupe for this. They are similar yes, but I wouldn't call Colorstay a dupe. I have Colorstay (& love it) and I've been using it. They aren't the same. The Colorstay can look a bit too made up & like you are wearing foundation if you apply too much (which is not hard to do). The MAC one also feels a bit lighter on the skin. However, to achieve FULL flawless coverage, you need LESS product when you use the Colorstay. The MAC needs to be built up. Since Colorstay is cheaper, I'd be more apt to use that one more frequently. But they are both great.*

Tinted Moisturizer -mark - Get a Tint tinted moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
beautifuldreamer324 6/26/2011 11:57:00 PM

I am an Avon/Mark rep & I picked this up recently along with the new Get A Tint Shimmer (which I haven't used yet). I wear Natural in the Mark Min-A-Real foundation & the Speedway stick foundation, and I picked up Buff/Natural in this. I've used it for the past two days, and so far I like it. It is very sheer coverage. It blends easily into the skin for a smooth finish. This gives your skin a nice, smooth evened out base for the rest of your makeup (blush, bronzer). This does a nice job of evening out skintone. I've worn it alone and underneath MAC's Studio Careblend pressed powder & it works well either way. If you want good coverage, this isn't for you. If you want light coverage in a tinted moisturizer that doesn't make your skin look or feel greasy, this will work well for you. I recommend this for makeup beginners as well. I will continue to use this. It's affordable too. $10 for 1.7 fl oz. Not a bad price at all. My skin is quite sensitive and if it doesn't like a product, it will react. (my skin didn't seem to agree with the Avon Magix Cashmere foundation). My skin didn't react to this, and that's a huge plus.

Foundations -Avon - magix cashmere foundation

beautifuldreamer324 6/24/2011 12:11:00 AM

i'm a rep and i've been dying to try this. i just picked it up because i had purchased the foundation adjuster and the foundations were $4 off. this applied beautifully and i had compliments how smooth my skin looked. it gave a nice flawless finish. however, i think this contributed to the breakouts that i'm suffering from today. i woke up with a large red white heads on my cheek. throughout the day, a few more small white heads popped up. This is the only different thing that I used. I'm hoping to clear my skin. Maybe i'll try this again someday. my skin didn't react this way with the Smooth Minerals Liquid. It worked well in the winter, but my skin is too oily right now for the Smooth Minerals Liquid to work well. 6/28/11- broke me out after i only used once. im afraid to try it again edit 10/23/11: I decided to give this another try last week, and so far so good. This blends seamlessly into the skin. It applies nicely. My skin is combination. It's more oily in the summer and drier in the winter. It's starting to get drier again. This blends quite nicely over my dry areas. This also lasts all day. I wore it all day yesterday through a football game and a night out at the club, and I didn't have to touch up at all. Pure Beige is a good shade for me. This is light coverage in my opinion. More coverage than the Smooth Minerals liquid but less than the Ideal Flawless. This is buildable as well. This didn't irritate my skin this time around, which is a plus. Nice packaging too. This didn't transfer either like the Smooth Minerals liquid.
