Lips -C.O. Bigelow - Mentha Lip Balm Stick
aimeeb12 8/28/2006 12:27:00 PM
I'm so excited CO Bigelow came out w/the Mentha Lip Shine in a chapstick formula! This balm is quickly becoming my HG chapstick. I LOVE the taste & texture. It is too pricey for a chapstick, but I'll stock up when they're on sale for $5.Great product!!!

Pressed Powders -Sephora - all over skin pressed powder
aimeeb12 8/28/2006 11:55:00 AM
I'm in the minority here, but I was not thrilled w/ this p/p. The color selection is fab & I found a great match in D20, but it didn't offer enough coverage or oil controlling power for my taste. The packaging is horrible & at least it should have a mirror. I dunno if it was just my portable powder brush, but it had a 'perfumey' smell to me.Oh well, at least I was able to return it!

Concealers -Sephora - Cooling Cover Stick in Moyen 02
aimeeb12 8/28/2006 11:47:00 AM
Yuck, I did not like this concealer at all. I purchased it to cover blemishes, but it was like applying colored water to my pimples. The stick is far too watery & sheer. It did nothing to cover my pimples & wore off quickly. I definitely would not rec this as a blemish/redness concealer. I never used it under my eyes because I returned it. Will NOT be repurchasing.

Tinted Moisturizer -Sephora - Tinted Moisturizer
aimeeb12 8/25/2006 3:04:00 PM
I just cannot rec this TM. The color was way off(I purchased it in Light & for ref., I'm an NW20) & the consistency was way too thin, almost runny. It provided ZERO coverage & I don't expect much coverage from a TM, but some. My oily t-zone busted through about an hour after first putting it on & I looked greasier than usual. I also feel like it wore off a few hours after application & left me w/nothing. Overall just a cheap experience w/this one.

Cleansers -DDF - Blemish Foaming Cleanser
aimeeb12 8/17/2006 12:01:00 AM
I really like this cleanser. I bought a bunch of Caudelie products recently & after those clogged my pores, I decided to exchange them for some DDF products and so far, I'm pleased. I only use this cleanser at nite after removing my makeup & I love the foaming action. The foam is a perfect consistency, meaning it's not too light nor too heavy. The smell isn't the best(it's kind of a medicinal smell), but ya can get past that unless you're super sensitive to scents. It doesn't dry out my skin at all, BUT I use the ProActiv toner & Clarifying nite cream afterwards, so those help to even things out. I like that it contains salicylic acid, but I guess really sensitive skins should beware. After using this cleanser alnog w/the rest of my ProActiv regimen, my Caudelie/Crappy Makeup breakout cleared up! I would rec this product to anyone w/oily or combo skin. Even someone w/normal skin could benefit from using this cleanser a few times a week. Thumbs way up for DDF!!!

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes
aimeeb12 8/16/2006 11:50:00 PM
I LOVE these!!! I've gone through nearly 10 packages of these since first discovering them. They have a nice, fresh smell to them(nothing overbearing) & remove ALL of my makeup in a few sweeps. Most of the time I cleanse after using them, but for late, lazy nites I go w/out cleansing & they don't dry out my skin or cause a breakout. I will repurchase these as long as Neutrogena makes them & I rec them for all skintypes!

Scrubs -The Body Shop - Brazil Nut scrub
aimeeb12 8/15/2006 8:48:00 PM
I really like this scrub. I love the smell. It's a very creamy, warm, nutty smell, but it's not at all overpowering. The scrub works really well. It's not too harsh, but it definitely exfoliates well. It's part creamy & part scrub. It doesn't leave my skin really soft & that's why I took a lippie off. I can tell tho that my skin has been nicely exfoliated. I would definitely repurchase this scrub unless I'm tempted to try one of the other scents!

Tinted Moisturizer -Stila - Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer
aimeeb12 8/10/2006 3:22:00 PM
This is for the new Illuminating TM that only comes in one shade. I got a trial size of this product & was not impressed. The color is way too light, even for my NW20 skintone. It leaves a white cast on my skin & is far too shimmery. It also clogged my pores. I would not rec this product to anyone.

Foundations -Christian Dior - Dior Bronze Tinted Moisturizer SPF10
aimeeb12 8/9/2006 4:52:00 PM
This was one of the worst TM's I've ever tried. It's only available in three shades & ya need a tan to be able to wear any of them. I chose the peach shade because my skin has peach undertones & the color was not that bad.I had a tan when I purchased the product. It is not at all moisturizing & I found it difficult to blend. One would have to have impossible speed to get this blended in before it becomes dry & almost sticky-like! The coverage is average for a TM & it also clogged my pores causing a breakout which is the main reason I stopped using it. The price is outrageous for a TM, but you're paying for the brand name. I would NOT rec this overpriced TM to anyone!!!

Mascara -Sephora - lengthening and curling mascara
aimeeb12 8/5/2006 11:23:00 PM
I agree w/the review below. I didn't like this mascara at all. I love the concept of having a primer on one end w/the color mascara on the other, but this mascara does not deliver. It did not curl or lengthen my lashes. My big issue w/it was that it smudged & ended up underneath my bottom lashes. I wouldn't rec this mascara to anyone.

Pressed Powders -Stila - Sheer Pressed Powder
aimeeb12 8/5/2006 11:19:00 PM
This is an average P/P. Nothing special about it, BUT it broke me out!!! I wouldn't rec this to someone w/oily or acne prone skin. The color selection isn't great either.Oh well.

Blush -Milani - Double Impact Blush - Cherries on Top
aimeeb12 7/21/2006 8:41:00 PM
I have been using this blush all summer & I love it. It's the perfect blush for tanned skin. I also love the fact that you can swirl the two colors together to get a perfect match. The shades are both beautiful. The lighter shade is similar to Luminous IMHO & the darker shade is a deeper rosy pink. I am floored at the quality of Milani cosmetics! I LOVE Milani!!!

Bronzers -Milani - Powder Bronzer
aimeeb12 7/21/2006 8:35:00 PM
This has been my favorite powder bronzer so far. I get a pretty deep tan in the summer & I was having trouble finding a bronzer that even showed up on my skin. I read the rave reviews about this stuff & had to pick it up! I got it in the medium shade & it's perfect. Not at all orange and lasts all day. I also liked the fact that it's not too shimmery. The price cannot be beat! This bronzer is great!!!***UPDATE*** I also picked the Milani bronzer up in Radiant recently because I'm letting my summer tan fade out. All of a sudden I've become reluctant to be in the sun & am all about being my natural color, which is a good thing! Anywho, Radiant is perfect. It looks dark in the compact, but it goes on nice & light & leaves a light bronze glow. This product will be a new staple in my everyday routine. I LOVE it!!!

Concealers -Stila - Perfecting Concealer
aimeeb12 7/19/2006 1:22:00 PM
I've been using this concealer for about a month now and I really like it for covering blemishes. I apply it w/a concealer brush, then blend w/my finger. A little loose or pressed powder over the top and I'm good to go. Shade d has been a perfect match for my summer, tanned skin. I will definitely be repurchasing this one!UPDATE: Like the Stila TM, this concealer is NOT oil free and was behind clogged pores & breakouts around the areas I was using it. I know this because as soon as I stopped using it & the TM, my breakouts cleared up. I cannot rec this product for anyone w/oily or acne prone skin.

Tinted Moisturizer -Stila - Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
aimeeb12 7/17/2006 2:42:00 PM
I have finally found my perfect TM! I have been on the hunt for years & this is it. It really is a true TM. It's light & sheer. It just helps to brighten up my skin & even out my skintone. I use Stila concealer to cover up any pimples or undereye circles. The price is a bit much, but I get a discount on it, so it works out nicely for me. I've been using it for a few weeks now & it hasn't caused any breakouts!!!I also found a perfect match in medium cuz I have a tan in the summer. The shade selection is wonderful.I LOVE this stuff!UPDATE: I too was thinking this TM was oil free and it definitely is NOT! Unfortunately after using this stuff for a month or so, I discovered it was behind my recent clogged pores and breakout. It's still a nice TM, BUT not for anyone w/oily or acne prone skin.
