Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
adis 2/4/2004 2:05:00 AM
During my college years, I bought this several times and I was really OK with it. I had to, coz I have a very sensitive skin and my skin hardly accepted any other brands except Clinique. I think the bottle is quite nice and the yellow colored liquid is pretty soft and can be absorbed quickly by the skin. It also doesn't smell, fragrance free and allergy tested. However, I didn't really see the benefit of using this moisturizer after prolonged use, so I switched to The Body Shop and then Origins. The price is pretty steep too. So, I don't think I'll go back to this ever again.

Fragrances -Issey Miyake - Le Feu d'Issey

I liked a few of Issey Miyake’s fragrances. Most of them were fresh yet sweet. Of course, rather expensive. I was looking for a new scent for my fragrance collection when I found this Le Feu D'Issey in one of the biggest mall in town. It’s also just being launched so the sales lady offered a lot of good deal. I decided to buy a smaller 30 ml bottle version. The first sprits gave an extremely sweet and musky scent that lingers to the skin. It’s quite strong and sometimes, when I’ve been wearing this several days consecutively, I’d get nausea. Unlike my other fave, Salvatore Ferragamo Subtil and Amarige de Givenchy that scents won’t give me headache at all, this can be too strong for my nose. Although the scent is sexy and alluring, that’s why I still wear this once in awhile. I don’t think I’ll purchase another bottle, though. It’s quite expensive and the sphere bottle doesn’t really comfortable to hold.

Absolutely nice and refreshing. I'm glad I got it for free as a gift from my beloved father whilst he's on his official trip abroad :) Anyway, it has very nice and unique scent, not too strong but still brings a lot of confident while I'm wearing this. This is my fave fragrance to wear at this moment along with my Amarige de Givenchy and Le Feu D'Issey. Like it. Love it. Definitely will purchase it again.

Fragrances -Givenchy - Amarige de Givenchy

Most of my favorite fragrances usually indicates 'fresh n light' coz I prefer to have my heavy activities at daylight while nights are only meant for parties :) However, when I first tried this Amarige de Givenchy, despite the strong scent came out of the very first spray, I instantly like how the scent lingers. It has strong but lovely scent, Very feminine too. Just remember not to spritz it too much coz a little amount does go a long way. the bottle also quite simple and convenience to hold, unlike several other perfumes. Another thing I like the most from this is that it stays on for hours and as the hours went by, the scent doesn't change at all. It actually stays on very nice. Definitely will repurchase it again, but I think I should give its "sister", - Amarige D'Amour -, a try after I finished this bottle.

Loose Powders -T. LeClerc - Loose Powder in Camelia

Since my tub of Clinique Blended Face Powder almost run out, I was thinking to get another one Clinique line coz most of their cosmetics never have caused any adverse reactions to my sensitive skin unlike any other brands. But after reading many good reviews on this powder, I decided to get one a try. Fortunately for me, T. LeClerc has just recently opened its first corner in my hometown, Jakarta. I chose Camelia, I think it suits my yellow-tone skin better than most of the available colors option. Well, I have a small silver tin in 35 gr worth of $ 45 (Wowwwww!!! Definitely the most expensive powder I’ve ever bought). I’ve been familiar about its packaging weaknesses, so I put quite an effort when I first opened the tin. I tapped my finger on top of the tin first, then slowly and carefully opened the tin. The shifter inside was drawn, so I took it off, again very slowly and carefully, restore the shifter on top of the powder and then press it with a perfect fit of puff. Voila!!! It’s ready to use. The silver tin is very unique and sleek, reminded me of an old style of cosmetic packaging. The powder has very light dusty textures and very well fine milled, just like most of reviews said. Plus, the fragrance is very appealing. I’ve always prepared my skin first with creamy moisturizer before dabbing this powder to my face. Yes, I’ve oily nose and yes, it’s gone right after this powder comes in. But there’s one time I found somewhat ugly cracking under the eyes, probably coz of the eye cream I was using. So make sure to wait at least 5 minutes after applying moisturizer, to give it a chance to soak into the skin and won’t mess in with the foundation and powder afterward. I give it 1 4 star for overall rating, 5 star for price, and 2 for packaging quality (it’s a nice looking silver tin though, too bad it’s very inconvenient and ineffective). The price is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy out of ordinary. But above all, this is a good powder. And I will definitely repurchase it again in the future. Thanks for reading …
