Mascara -Rimmel - Glam Eyes
Tartlette 5/2/2010 10:01:00 AM
This was just "meh" for me. This mascara didn't really add much to my lashes, maybe just very slight definition. If this is what you want, you may like this mascara. I like a little more drama and "oomph" to my lashes, and this was not it. The packaging is cute, but the product did not really work for me, so I would not repurchase.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Mulled Cider
Tartlette 5/2/2010 9:58:00 AM
Mulled Cider is a really pretty warm brown colour. It applies really smoothly, and blends well. I like using it with Chamomile and Modelette from the Warm & Cozy collection - I apply it on the outer v. All 3 colours are perfect and I wear to the office almost every day. I find this colour very flattering to my pale skin tone.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Modelette (Warm & Cozy 2009)
Tartlette 5/2/2010 9:52:00 AM
I love this colour! Modelette is a very pretty light brown, caramel-ish colour. I love using it in the crease and on my pale skin it gives nice, soft definition to that area, goes on smooth and blends really well. This colour is a staple in my collection, I wear it almost daily on weekdays to the office along with the other 2 colours from the Warm & Cozy collection. This is just my perfect neutral, both colour & texture are fabulous.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Chamomile
Tartlette 5/2/2010 9:42:00 AM
I love this colour! Chamomile came out with the Warm And Cozy collection and (like the reviewers below have said) is a cream colour but is on the yellow side. I use it with the other shadow from the collection (Modelette and Mulled Cider). The colour really evens out the skintone on my lids, and it blends well. I wear this on most office days for a very suble neutral look. I would definitely re-purchase.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #116 Blush Brush
Tartlette 5/2/2010 9:16:00 AM
I really love this blush brush. I was between getting this one, or the 129 and I am so glad that I went with the 116. I am very small, so I feel like the shape of this one works a lot better for me, and places the blush colour on my face so perfectly. Recently, I've tried to apply bronzer with this brush as well and it seems to be working nicely! The only thing about his brush is I find that it sheds a tad more than any of my other MAC brushes, just a few hairs here and there..nothing serious. I highly recommend this blush brush!

Cleansers -Philosophy - the microdelivery exfoliating wash
Tartlette 5/2/2010 9:07:00 AM
I bought this, along with Philosophy's Purity cleanser. I have combination & sensitive skin, and I thought this would work really well for me because the beads were so small, though it would be gentle. The wash did feel very gentle on my skin, but there was nothing extremely special about it. I did start to breakout really badly after using this, and Purity. At first I stopped using The Microdelivery, thinking that was the cause but the breakouts continued. I decided to return this, along with Purity because my skin was just so horrible I needed to try something completely fresh. I can see why some people love this product, it does feel very gentle, however it just didn't work out for me.

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
Tartlette 5/2/2010 8:55:00 AM
I really wanted to love this product, I really did. The Philosophy products that I've tried in the past, I absolutely adore. I hadn't tried the skincare yet, and decided if I love all of their other products, I should love this one too, right? Wrong. I purchased this, along with the Microdelivery scrub. For reference, I have combination skin & sensitive skin. At first, I liked this product. The first couple days, my face felt so smooth and clean after using this. Then, after a week I started to breakout BADLY. I will typically get a couple small pimples here and there, but I was getting a ton of small pimples AND a few big, painful ones. I'd heard that it's normal to breakout at first and to wait it out - so I did. A few of the pimples would go away, but NEW ones would come up on different areas on my face. After weeks, this never got any better. I tried to convince myself that it wasn't the Purity cleanser that did this, but rather The Microdelivery, so I stopped using that and continued with the cleanser. Nothing got better, and it was only after I stopped using Purity that my skin stopped breaking out the way it was. I am very sad to report that this was my very first return EVER to Sephora :( My skin has taken a long time to get better, I still have a few pimples but NOTHING like I did when I was using this cleanser. I really did like how the cleanser made my skin feel (soft & my little flakeys were gone), but I broke out like crazy, maybe even worse than I did when I was a teenager! Needless to say I would NOT repurachase this. If you have a similar skin type to me and still want to try this product, I recommend trying to get a sample first.

Polishes -OPI - lucky lucky lavender
Tartlette 5/2/2010 8:42:00 AM
Would I repurchase this? YES YES YES! Lucky Lucky Lavender is a very pretty purple-pink colour (doesn't look lavender to me at all). I am absolutely loving this colour for sping, and is becoming a staple for me. I had been on the hunt for the perfect purple-pink colour and I have found it in this polish. For reference - I have pale skin and the colour works well for me. I found that the formula of the polish was a little more "runny" than my other OPI colours. The first coat went on a little streaky, but to my relief once I put the second coat on it looks fabulous. Sometimes I'll add a 3rd coat if I feel I need it. The polish also dried very quickly. Staying power is great - lasted several days before beginning to chip, and even when it started to chip it was barely noticable. If you are on the hunt for the perfect purple-pink colour, go check this one out. Such a beautiful spring colour!

Polishes -OPI - Jade is the New Black
Tartlette 5/2/2010 8:31:00 AM
Jade Is The New Black is a very pretty green colour, there is really something special about this one. It looks like "Starbucks" green to me. At first I had no desire for this polish, but the more I saw it, the more I felt like it was screaming my name. The colour looks fabulous against my pale skin, and I was very worried that it wouldn't. I did find the formulation a little more "runny" than other OPI polishes that I own, but it wasn't a huge deal to be. The polish still applied well, I did have a few streaks on my first coat, but by the second I had great coverage. Staying power was good, I had some chips after a few days but that's pretty normal for me. It also dried quickly. If you like greens, this is a must have for your collection.

Polishes -OPI - Do You Lilac It?
Tartlette 5/2/2010 8:24:00 AM
I absolutely adore this colour - it is the perfect light purple! It looks very pretty against my pale skin - very flattering to my skintone and I always get compliments when I wear it. This shade is a must have for me for spring. Application is fabulous - not streaky for me, dries quickly and 2 coats is perfection. I do get little chips after a few days, but nothing extremely noticable. I would 100% repurchase.

Polishes -OPI - Absolutely Alice [DISCONTINUED]
Tartlette 5/2/2010 8:16:00 AM
This polish is a really pretty, glittery blue colour. To get good coverage I put on 3 coats of this, or you could put one coat over another polish to get a more subtle sparkle. Staying power was so-so. Like many others, this polish peels off in sheets off some of my nails. You really have to scrub this to remove it: it's extremely difficult. I don't wear this often, but if you are a fan of blues and glitters, this is a must have polish for you.

Polishes -OPI - Mad as a Hatter [DISCONTINUED]
Tartlette 2/15/2010 4:09:00 PM
I absolutely adore this nail polish. I had not intended to get anything from Alice In Wonderland, but after seeing so many pictures I knew I had to have it. I searched many stores and it was sold out everywhere! I finally found a store that still had it, and I got the last one :) I think this is likely the most popular polish out of the 4 from this collection. The colour is absolutely gorgeous, so very shimmery, sparkley and glittery! The glitter is multiple colours and just looks absolutely gorgeous. It took 3 coats for me to get complete coverage, and it dried really quickly. The only reason why I did not give this a 5 is, like other reviewers, I noticed that this polish peeled off in 1 big sheet from a couple of my nails. When I finally went to remove the rest of the colour, it was extremely difficult to remove, the polish was like cement on my nails. I had to scrub like I've never scrubbed before to remove it :) But this is just too gorgeous, I have nothing like it in my collection and I would definitely repurchase!

Polishes -Essie - Mint Candy Apple
Tartlette 1/31/2010 3:11:00 PM
I love love LOVE Mint Candy Apple! The colour on me is a very light mint green colour. I would definitely say it's not a dupe for China Glaze "For Audrey", Mint Candy Apple is definitely more green. Application was fine, I had no problems whatsoever. Staying power was great - it look several days for it to chip, and I'm talking only one little chip on one nail. I get so many compliments when I wear this. I'd re-purchase this for sure.

Polishes -OPI - Holiday in Toyland You're a Doll
Tartlette 1/31/2010 2:53:00 PM
You're A Doll is such a beautiful, unique natural polish. The colour is very unique, it can look gray-ish, pink-ish, and in some lights it even has a hint of lavender. I like to put on 3 coats, it applies very smooth and lasts several days before beginning to chip. It is a netural shade, but still has a bit of "oomph" to it. It is one of my all time favourite natural polish shades for my nails, I would definitely re-purchase!

Polishes -OPI - Who Needs A Prince
Tartlette 1/31/2010 2:29:00 PM
This polish is a really pretty irridescent light light pink. Application is smooth and staying power is great. Although it's not my all time favourite, it's still a very pretty neutral colour that adds a little something to my nails when I want them to look fresh and girly without adding a lot of colour.
