Treatments (Eye) -Perricone - Advanced Eye Area Therapy

I'm so glad it's not just me whose eyes burned from this product. I don't usually have such strong reactions to products but I had to wash it off immediately and flush the area for a few minutes before I felt better. I cannot recall a product that has actually caused me so much pain.
I'm going to stick with my Cold Plasma. It's much softer and gentler. Yeah, it's a lot more money but it's worth it.
This is an overpriced, lovely smelling soap. Like all soap, it's drying. Far too drying for me face. It's ok for my body, though.
Save your money and buy some Dr. Bronner's Castille Soap instead.
Treatments -Clarins - Multi-Active Skin Renewal Serum -Serum Peau Neuve

This might or might not work. My skin was unable to tolerate it long enough for me to tell. It sucked all of the moisture out of my skin and made it feel tight and itchy.
I also don't get the packaging. Is it a tube or is it a pump? It's a tube with a pump on the end. The tube shape makes it awkward to hold the product while you're pumping out the product.
A total no for me.
Lipstick -Josie Maran Cosmetics - Magic Marker Lip and Cheek Stain
NancyM 6/8/2010 10:44:00 AM
This is a pretty useless product. You have to hold it upside down to get any pigment out of it so it's virtually impossible to use on your upper lips. There is hardly any color that comes out of the marker and my lips don't even look like they have color on them.
Cleansers -Clarins - Cleansing Milk for dry to normal skin
NancyM 5/28/2010 7:16:00 AM
I'm always on the lookout for a gentle, effective cleanser and this is gentle but it's not effective. On the plus side, it's smooth and comforting and doesn't irritate my rosacea. However, it doesn't remove makeup and it doesn't rinse clean. I'm not a fan of cleansers that leave a film on my face even after I've rinsed with water.
Cleansers -Clarins - Gentle Foaming Cleanser for Dry or Sensitive Skin
NancyM 5/24/2010 6:13:00 PM
This is a pretty good cleanser for sensitive skin but far too drying for dry skin. My skin felt dry and tight immediately after washing with this and I couldn't wait to slather toner all over my face to restore moisture.
I'm positive that you can get similar foaming cleansers at the drugstore for way cheaper than this.
Almost immediate rosacea reaction. A big no from me, especially at the outrageous price of $95 per bottle. I'd rather spend $150 on Perricone's Cold Plasma which is a product that actually works as an anti-aging serum. I also get great results at half the price with Josie Maran's Argan Oil.

Thank goodness I bought the small size of this because it's unusable to me as a replacement for the liquid oil. Why? It has menthol in it.
I don't know how people are putting this near their eyes. I got a rude awakening this morning when I dabbed some of it in my lower eye area and it's still stinging.
I can't even imagine what this would do to the rosacea on my cheeks.
There is NO need for this product to have menthol. All of the other ingredients would do just fine without it.
I guess I'll keep it for my elbows but I can't even put this on my hands in case I touch my face and transfer some of it there.
Treatments (Eye) -DERMAdoctor - Wrinkle Revenge Eye
NancyM 4/17/2010 4:32:00 PM
This is a meh eye cream. It's no different from 1000 other ones out there, many of which have better packaging and are cheaper. It's between a cream and a gel and does moisturize my eye area temporarily giving the appearane of diminised wrinkles but that's just caused by the moisture you just put on your skin. It doesn't have SPF which is a huge plus in my book. SPF makes my rosacea flare up and my eyes water.
The packaging is not great. It's in a jar and I have nails so, well, that's the problem right there.
Eye Makeup Remover -Clarins - Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Lotion
NancyM 4/17/2010 10:37:00 AM
This is a product made almost entirely of water. You would have the same effects by running a cotton pad under the tap and using that water to remove your eye makeup. I tried removing some waterproof eyeliner with this last night and I couldn't figure out why the heck it wasn't coming off. It was just getting pushed around and looking smudgier and smudgier. Then I read the ingredient. Aha! There's no oil. Of course it's not coming off. I ended up using jojoba oil to remove the makeup. Worked like a charm and it's about 1/10th the price.
I am one of the biggest Benefit fans of all time and I am incredibly disappointed in this product. The good news is that it has lots of silicones that sit on top of my lines and doesn't sink in and accentuate them. The bad news? 1) The packaging is terrible. Way too much comes out of the pump and the product dribbles down the side of the pump. Ugh. 2) My shadow creases MORE on me when I use this than when I don't. Isn't that the exact opposite of what's supposed to happen? Back you go to Macy's -- I'll stick with my Erase Paste.
This was sold to me by my trusty SA at the Benefit counter as a lip primer, not a plumper. I have highly pigmented lips that prevent any lipgloss or lipstick from actually appearing as its true color on my lips. Now that I've been using this for a couple of weeks, I don't know what I did without it. It mattes out my lips, makes them look fairly colorless (there is a slight lavender color to it) and makes my lipstick look great. I'll definitely buy this again and again.
Primer/ Corrector -Clarins - Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch
NancyM 2/26/2010 11:53:00 AM
I generally love Clarins but when I tried this product, it caused a rosacea flare up that made my face hurt so much that I had to take aspirin to get rid of the pain and try to get the inflammation down. If I could, I'd give this a zero.
Moisturizers -evanhealy - Rosehip Treatment Facial Serum - Blue
NancyM 2/26/2010 11:22:00 AM
I'm just going to give this a 1 because it stung when I applied it to my rosacea face and it gave me a wee bit of a flare up. No further comment necessary.
Cleansers -evanhealy - Blue Lavender Cleansing Milk
NancyM 2/26/2010 11:21:00 AM
Like other evanhealy Blue products I've tried, it's not terrible; it's just not good.
The bottle is glass. I'm a klutz. These two concepts do not work well with each other.
It doesn't actually "do" anything. I don't feel any cleaner after I use this than I did before I cleansed my face.
